Chapter 1955 - 1545: Panic
"Alright, that’s good!"
Su Mo nodded in response, then piloted the mecha toward the Administrative Council Building.
A moment later, Su Mo appeared in the corridor of the building and walked toward Alles’ office.
The building was filled with anxious and busy people.
Many were gathered in corners, whispering and discussing matters with worried expressions.
Su Mo could distinctly feel the pervasive unrest within the entire Federation, a stark contrast to its previous vitality.
He increasingly felt the gravity of the situation.
Soon, Su Mo arrived at Alles’ office, the door was open.
The office was empty, so Su Mo went in and sat on a chair for visitors, waiting quietly.
Time passed slowly!
Half an hour quickly went by, yet Su Mo had not seen Alles, so he got up and walked to the door.
Just then, a woman in civilian military attire hurried past Su Mo.
"Hello, excuse me."
The woman in military attire stopped in her tracks. She turned to look at Su Mo and was momentarily stunned, immediately recognizing Su Mo with an expression of astonishment.
"Su, Lord Su Mo."
"Hmm, may I ask where President Alles is? Why haven’t I seen him?"
Su Mo asked in confusion.
"President Alles is in the main hall of the council."
The female officer quickly explained.
"Alright, thank you."
Su Mo nodded slightly, then turned and headed toward the council hall.

The enormous council hall was brightly lit and packed with people.
Inside were well-dressed corporate magnates, stern NCOs in uniform, and wise councilmen.
However, today they were not the main characters.
The true protagonists were the representatives of the people gathered at the very front of the council hall, dressed in simple clothing.
At this moment, an elderly man, with white hair and a hunched back, spoke sorrowfully to President Alles.
"Council President, it’s not that we don’t trust the Federation Government, but you can see the situation now; it truly can’t be delayed any longer, a decisive action must be taken! We cannot continue this self-deception."
"I understand everyone’s unease, but I hope everyone can stay calm and not get into a panic, as the situation is not yet clear."
Alles took a deep breath, trying hard to soothe.
