Su Mo heard this, raised the electronic wristband on his left hand, and input the command to log into the Star Ring Forum.

Lately, he had been busy focusing on the repair work of the Heart of Forbidden Prison, addressing labor issues, so engrossed that he hadn’t visited the forum or paid attention to external affairs. He hadn’t expected such shocking news to break.

Before long, Su Mo logged into the forum, which had turned into shades of gray and white.

He quickly saw numerous mourning posts and began to browse them.

His expression became increasingly complex and full of sighs.

The Royal Order had lost four members, an unprecedented event, and it had all happened just recently.

The most unexpected point was that this memorial ceremony was not hosted by Star Ring City but was organized separately by various countries affiliated with the Royal Order, each mourning for their own.

Most countries had sent representatives to attend, timing the ceremonies to avoid overlap. The Mechanical Empire of First Birthplace held the memorial first, followed by Laurel Kingdom, Inlia Kingdom, and the Vast Kingdom of Second Birthplace.

"Boss? Are you alright?"

Long Ke noticed Su Mo didn’t look well and cautiously asked.

Su Mo took a deep breath and replied to Long Ke.

"I’m fine!"

"That’s good to hear, my fault for being nosy."

Long Ke forced an awkward smile.

"No, it’s thanks to you mentioning it, or I would’ve missed the memorial, Tilo!"

Su Mo shook his head and promptly stood up, calling out.

"Present!"

Seeing Su Mo call her, Tilo came over.

"I need to go to First Birthplace to attend the memorial. I entrust everything here to you and Qian Chengxue. The situation has been somewhat unstable lately. If anything arises that you cannot handle, notify me immediately."

Su Mo instructed Tilo, not because he didn’t trust Tilo and Qian Chengxue, but because in such turbulent times, one can never be too cautious.

"Alright, you can be assured."

Tilo nodded slightly in response.

Su Mo then left the command room without hesitation, heading towards the hangar.

Not long after, Su Mo was piloting Mad Eye Rhenhok, swiftly departing from the Immortal Blade, flying towards First Birthplace.

"Whose memorial are you going to attend?"

The creator, Swallower, asked.

"The memorial for the Mechanical Empire is starting first; let’s go there first. Although Herbert and I didn’t have the best relationship and had a few minor conflicts, we later reconciled. Herbert gave me a good impression, and now that he’s gone, it’s only right to pay my respects. After Herbert’s memorial concludes, we will head to Laurel Kingdom for Bagley’s memorial."

Su Mo explained briefly to Xiao Shi.

"Alright."

The creator, Swallower, responded in a deep voice.

...

The next morning, Su Mo arrived again at the entrance of First Birthplace.

The joint defensive forces of First Birthplace were still stationed here, with even stricter military presence.

From here, one could see that although First Birthplace’s countries were chaotic, their upper governance was very strong, maintaining their composure without panicking.

As Su Mo approached, he was intercepted by a group of mechanical units, and the leading officer spoke on the public channel.

"First Birthplace is under lockdown currently; no unrelated personnel are allowed!"

"I am Su Mo of the Royal Order of Twelve Knights, here to attend the memorial."

Su Mo directly stated his intentions and identity.

The guards exchanged a glance, and after a brief silence, the leading officer stepped aside and said.

"Please enter!"

"Thank you!"

Su Mo immediately piloted Mad Eye Rhenhok into First Birthplace.

He flew rapidly towards the Mechanical Empire Main Star; looking around, nearly every vessel was a joint patrol ship or mechanical squad, with barely any civilian ships in sight.

Moreover, he occasionally observed the sky littered with remnants of ships and mechas, a stark contrast to the bustling scene from his first visit.

The patrol units quickly spotted Su Mo, verified his identity, and upon confirming he was a member of the Royal Order, cleared the way.

Without much thought, Su Mo accelerated towards the Mechanical Empire Main Star.

Soon enough, Su Mo arrived high above the Mechanical Empire Main Star. Gazing at the highly mechanized planet, he spoke to the creator, Swallower, with some admiration.

"The Mechanical Empire stands as the strongest among all nations not without reason. Just the mechanization of their Main Star puts them above the rest. Should they ever need to flee, they could relocate the entire nation with ease."

"That’s foresight, and more than that, the highly mechanized Main Star is the result of the Mechanical Empire spending hundreds of years and countless resources on modifications; its combat capabilities may not lag behind the Radiant City. Remember during the Royal Order’s selection tournament when the Fallen God Sect and the Eternal Sleep Clan invaded and fought here, yet barely left a mark."

The creator, Swallower, replied in a deep tone.

"Indeed."

Su Mo nodded slightly, then piloted his mecha downward.

Mechanical Empire.

The once bustling main city was unusually silent, with all entertainment venues closed.

All virtual advertisements were replaced with mourning images, showcasing Herbert’s deeds during his lifetime.

The streets were filled with citizens displaying sorrowful expressions, some unable to hold back, covering their mouths with tears streaming down.

In the hearts of the Mechanical Empire’s citizens, Herbert was a pillar of faith. His death symbolized the collapse of a part of their belief, leaving an anxious populace even more unsettled.

The vast city was continuously filled with piercing siren sounds.

The entire city was shrouded in a sorrowful atmosphere.

Mechanical Palace Square.

In the central area stood a large memorial table with Herbert’s electronic black-and-white portrait surrounded by white flowers.

Behind the black-and-white portrait was a small urn holding remnants brought back from Ceres.

There the half-mechanized Emperor Isaac, dressed in black mourning attire, personally presided over the memorial.

A large number of attendees were present at the memorial, including Herbert’s family; all prominent members of the Mechanical Empire were gathered, notably the only remaining Royal Order of Twelve Knights member, Kux.

His face was somber, capable of dripping water; in just a few years, two of the Mechanical Empire’s three pillars had fallen.

Now he’s the only one left.

At this moment, representatives from other nations of First Birthplace were also entering the venue, including those from Laurel Kingdom and Inlia Kingdom, who were soon to hold their own memorials.

The atmosphere was filled with sadness and suppression.

At this juncture, a Master of Ceremony announced.

"Royal Order of Twelve Knights, Su Mo, comes to pay respects!"

Whoosh~

Suddenly, over half of the high-ranking officials of the Mechanical Empire present turned to look.

Su Mo walked in solemnly, holding a bouquet of white flowers in hand.
