Devil's Music
The 55th: The beginning of everything is a dream.
Two weeks later.
It was raining in Seoul. Rain showers, clear skies, quickly darkened, and huge rainfall rainfall rained down, and the people who had left the building evacuated to the building. A dark ben stops by the quiet road.
He put his hands on the steering wheel and looked at the rain and asked with a low voice, looking at the seat next to him.
“Why did you do that? ”
The gun wiggles its foot on the passenger seat and laughs.
“What?”
Byeong-jun sighed as he saw that it wasn't serious.
“The school, you don't know how much you've been talking about in the last two weeks? ”
The gun turns its head away from the rainy window.
“I know, brother. I've seen the news. ”
Byeong-jun said, beating the steering wheel as if it was frustrating.
“Then why? Harvard and MIT fell, but we could go to Seoul, right? Why did you do that?”
The gun closes its eyes, looking out the window.
I opened my eyes again and made eye contact with Bottle Joon as if the rain was music outside the window.
“You know you're going to do music. You know that. ”
Byung-jun raised his hands and said, shaking.
“No, can't you go to Seoul University? Can't you go to the Old Age? Who told you that? Everyone wants that. Why would you go to a place where you're not even welcome? This is Korea, and you're Korean, no! Even if it's Chinese or Japanese, it's the same. With the two school cards you gave up, you could have succeeded as a musician or whatever! ”
“Why? Why is it that Julius was the most responsive? You were offered admission to Berkeley. Why Juliette? You know, if you're going for a good night's sleep, why don't you just give up all the good colleges, give up your scholarships, give up your dormitories, and not even get rid of Julia? ”
Byeong-jun continued to turn his head to the rainy window instead of looking at himself.
“I know what music wants to do, but do you know what Julius looks like? Do you know what percentage of college students give up in the middle? ”
Julied School
Located in Manhattan, New York City, at the Lincoln Performing Arts Center, Juliad was founded in 1905 by Frank Damrosy, a music education director at New York Public Schools, as the Institute of Musical Art, and was renamed the Juilliard School in 1968 to encompass all performing arts areas. Today, Julius is composed of music, dance and drama studies, the Jazz Institute, and preliminary university and graduate courses.
Gun looked at Byeong-jun and said.
“I know, I've heard the rumors, I've looked for them myself. ”
He turns his head back out the window and says,
“But you know what, bro? What percentage of freshmen did Julius recruit last year? ”
When Byeong-jun didn't answer, Gun turned to Byeong-jun and said.
“6.4%. which is the proportion of new applicants we've recruited. ”
Gun smiles brightly at Byeong-jun, who is staring at him.
“Berkeley? It's not UC Berkeley. It's Berkeley. You've heard of it. It's a school you can go to for money. I don't know if it's real. ”
“I looked up the data that I picked last year's freshmen. There are 102 New England Conservatory (NEC) and 102 Manhattan tons each and 109 Juliets. ”
The gun looks up at the bottle and raises its index finger.
“But the Berkeley Music College has 1,012 people. Isn't that enough? ”
Byeong-jun said as if he was frustrated.
“Yeah, let's say that in the middle of the pitch. Aren't you ashamed? Do you know how many stars there are in the celebrity world? What if you come back later and you're not popular? What if everyone forgets you, whether it's Korea or China? There has to be a way to save the day when you can't play music. ”
“But if you've learned something, it can't hurt for later. You can study music outside of school, and there are a lot of people who do that. Not all musicians in the world get out of bed. ”
The gun leans the car seat back, resting more comfortably and placing the left arm on the forehead.
“He's got a point. ”
Byeong-jun grabbed the left elbow of the gun, lowered his arm, and looked at the gun's face.
“Yeah? Why did you do that? ”
Gun glances at Bottle Joon holding his arm. There was a pause between the two of them.
“I want to be serious. ”
The gun slightly grazed his arm, pushed away Bottle Joon's hand, and pulled the car seat back up.
“I mean, I don't see enough music to spend the rest of my time doing what I do. In fact, Julied's students are famous for practicing nonstop from 9: 00 a.m. to 9: 00 p.m. ”
I looked back at Byeong-jun, smiling as if it had suddenly occurred to me.
“You saw it, too, right? The brunette in the interview. ”
Byeong-jun nods and thinks of her.
Sharon Isbin
She was a classical guitar list and founding director of the Juilliard Guuitar Department. In her studies, she was a female genius guitarist who won the Yale vs. Master of Music award, and the American Grammy award after becoming an adult. At the age of 59, she was a middle-aged woman who had not lost her beauty in her old age as she had been named beauty guitarist since her 20s. Alone in the interview, she took the same attitude as in the regular interview and embarrassed the viewers who had been watching the internet broadcast since the previous week.
The gun loses focus in the eye with a dazzling smile.
“I was in the second grade of middle school. I heard the professor play. The first thing I heard was a song called" Asturias. "”
The gun leans back toward the bottle, regaining its resplendent glare.
“Do you know a song called 'Asturias'? It's by a Spanish pianist and composer named Isaac Albeniz. Isn't that great? Playing the piano with a guitar. ”
Gun turned his gaze out of the window again after Byung-jun didn't respond much.
“You don't know." Asturias "is a Spanish folk mix. Since then, many classical guitarists have challenged me. although Professor Sharon was the best. ”
The gun closes its eyes, striking the guitar with a raised hand.
“Of course, the music I want to do is not classical. Rock. But I don't want to get stuck in a frame. The musicians who rock seem to be free. Only on the outside, 'cause that's cool. ”
“Inside, their music is struggling to get out of the cage. So it's probably true that a lot of musicians have a common place in the history of writing. ”
Gun looked at the bottle without stopping playing the guitar.
“Aren't you curious? If the caged bird has the ability to escape, how does it escape? ”
Byeong-jun nods, looking at the case without saying anything. Gun said, looking at such a bottle.
“So I went to Julius. The moment I realized I was a bird in a cage. It's a place for me to develop the ability to escape the cage. ”
Byeong-jun shakes his head, but sighs as if accepting. The gun looked at the bottle for a moment and raised its arms and clasped them behind the neck.
“What does Director Lynn say? ”
Byung-jun took his smartphone out of his pocket without saying anything and showed me the text. On the liquid crystal, there was a single line of short but cute inscription.
“I trust him. ”
The gun rubs its nose with its hand as it feels the tip of its nose getting darker.
“Hehe, not you, not Director Lin, not Young-seok. They're all good people who care about me. ”
The rain that falls outside the window stops slightly, and the thin sunlight shines between the clouds. The gun opens a window and pushes out its hand to get hit by the rain that hasn't stopped yet.
“I know you're worried, brother. If you ask me if I'm confident, I'm actually not confident. ”
The gun brings its wet hand into the window and licks it slightly with its lips.
“Still, I'd like to try. because I promised to do it until I couldn't do it. I don't want to be ashamed. ”
Byeong-jun squirmed his eyebrows looking at the case.
“Isn't that what you promised Tsu Mae? Do you have more feelings for her than you do for her? Come on, man, she's a fan. “
The gun shakes its head with a bloody smile.
“No, brother. I don't feel that way about Tsu Mae. I didn't even exchange phone numbers when I broke up with her. I almost gave it to him if he didn't stop me. ”
The gun opens the window again and looks at the sky completely stopped.
“But that night, Let's not give up looking at the starry sky until the end, but make a promise with Tsumei, because I made it with myself. I don't want to be ashamed of myself. ”
Byeong-jun looked at the watch with a slightly relieved look and said.
“So when are we going? Did you find a place to stay?”
The gun rests its arm on the window frame and looks up at the sky with its poor eyes.
“I'm going to leave in two days, but I'm still a long way from the start of the semester, but I have to go unpack and get ready. The place is two blocks from the school, so you can walk there. I wish I could go to the dormitory, but I'm not allowed to. 64th Street, Manhattan West. Come play when you come to America, brother. ”
Byeong-jun nodded.
“Yes, I will. When you get there, be sure to give me your home address. The musician asked me what to do with the clothes that came in front of you. Clothes are supplies anyway, and they're going to be there. Don't waste money. I'll send it to your address, so wear it. It was one truck, to be exact. ”
The gun glanced at Byung-jun and crossed his arms.
“Those designer clothes? What if my friends at school think I'm the second year of the reign? Hehe”
Byung-jun swiped the gun with his elbow and said.
“You don't have a hobby, get off. By the way, in the United States, if something happens in the entertainment industry, Fantasy can't cover it, because the United States hasn't arrived yet. If they ask me to sign, I'll let them know. But I want you to give us the rights to Northeast Asia, because it's a six-month short-term contract, and you don't have to do it. ”
Gun smiled and said.
“Oh? Where's Director Lynn's phone number?"
“What? You bastard! ”
The bright sun rises above you, laughing and chattering in the car.
The most important thing in the world
It's not where I am.
Where are you headed?
It's about knowing.
