Chapter 498: I’ll Beat You to Your Knees

"Oh? Chu Qingyun, you're out!"

Upon seeing Chu Qingyun, Mu Xiaoxiao's face was filled with surprise and delight.

She naturally had the utmost confidence in Chu Qingyun. Seeing his relaxed expression, she knew he must have successfully registered.

Zhou Wushang and the others, however, looked surprised. They hadn't expected Chu Qingyun to actually stay inside for that long.

"Chu Qingyun, did you really register?" Zhou Wushang asked doubtfully.

"Of course I did. And I seem to recall someone saying that if I managed to register successfully, they would kneel to me right here," Chu Qingyun said.

Zhou Wushang's face darkened, and he sneered, "Just because you say you registered successfully, that makes it true? I think you just went in to hide for a while and are now pretending you succeeded!"

In response, Chu Qingyun merely chuckled dismissively and said nothing.

Just then, two people walked out from the Pill Battle Conference registration office.

"We can prove it. Young Master Chu is indeed a true Alchemist, and he has successfully registered, earning his spot in the Celestial Martial City Pill Battle Conference."

These two were, of course, the same two who had handled Chu Qingyun's registration earlier.

To be honest, they were also extremely surprised to see Chu Qingyun and Master Kang walking out of the Alchemy Room, chatting and laughing.

For things to have reached this point, it was clear Chu Qingyun had earned Master Kang's approval—and a very high degree of it at that.

As for him successfully registering, there was no need to even ask. Master Kang had personally escorted Chu Qingyun to the door; how could he not have passed?

"This…"

Zhou Wushang's expression turned ugly. Things were getting out of his control. 'Could it be? Is Chu Qingyun really an Alchemist?'

'But I absolutely can't admit it now.'

Otherwise, if he knelt to him in front of so many people, then with his status as an official disciple of the Saint Extreme Sect, it wouldn't be long before word of this spread throughout all of Celestial Martial City.

At that point, it wouldn't just be his own honor on the line; the honor of the entire Qianshui Dynasty, and even the Saint Extreme Sect, would be tarnished.

"Hmph, you two are merely in the Small Spirit Realm. I bet Chu Qingyun bribed you to lie for him!" Zhou Wushang said, refusing to back down.

At the same time, he was rather smug.

'I have the Qianshui Dynasty and the Saint Extreme Sect at my back. So what if I deny it to the bitter end? What can you do to me?'

'Are you, Chu Qingyun, going to perform Alchemy right here in the middle of the street?'

"They were bribed, so does that mean this old man was bribed as well!?"

Just then, another voice, tinged with a hint of anger, came from inside the registration office.

Then, everyone saw Master Kang walk out slowly, a displeased look on his face.

Given Master Kang's status, escorting Chu Qingyun to the door was already a sign of his immense regard and a great honor. He certainly wouldn't have waited around to help explain things.

But, as it happened, just as Master Kang reached the door, he overheard one of Zhou Wushang's lackeys saying that even a ball of grime scraped from his body was a Top-Grade Elixir.

At this, Master Kang grew displeased.

For someone like him, who had dedicated his entire life to the Alchemy Dao, Elixirs were something he regarded with the utmost gravity.

Hearing someone compare those incredibly rare, Top-Grade Elixirs to a ball of grime scraped from one's body, Master Kang's expression immediately darkened.

So he stopped in his tracks and stood there a little longer.

Many of the people present were long-time residents of Celestial Martial City. They had seen or heard of Master Kang before, and someone in the crowd immediately recognized him.

A lofty Martial King Level Alchemist was not someone one could see easily.

Many people began to whisper among themselves, but they didn't dare to speak loudly. They all held Master Kang in great respect and awe.

However, although their voices were low, they could still be clearly heard.

When the words "Martial King Level Alchemist" reached Zhou Wushang's ears, his face instantly turned deathly pale.

A Martial King Level Alchemist had personally appeared to prove that Chu Qingyun had indeed successfully registered. No further explanation was needed; not even any evidence.

Master Kang's words were the best and most powerful evidence!

"Zhou Wushang, Master Kang himself has spoken. Are you still not going to kneel before me?" Chu Qingyun said, his expression impassive.

That guy Zhou Wushang had followed him and Mu Xiaoxiao, provoking them and acting smug the entire time. Chu Qingyun had long wanted to teach him a lesson and certainly wasn't about to let him off easy now.

"You… Chu Qingyun, don't take it too far! I am from the Qianshui Dynasty, a disciple of the Saint Extreme Sect!" Zhou Wushang said through gritted teeth.

Hearing the name Saint Extreme Sect, Master Kang raised an eyebrow slightly.

He then looked at Chu Qingyun, wanting to see how he would handle the situation.

'Just a disciple of the Saint Extreme Sect, not even at the Martial King Level. He must be just an Outer Disciple.' With his status, Master Kang naturally paid him no mind.

However, for someone like Chu Qingyun, who came from a small dynasty, it was a different matter.

A disciple of the Saint Extreme Sect, even an Outer Disciple, would be considered a major figure to an unknown, small dynasty like the Great Xia Dynasty.

Chu Qingyun's choice would also reveal something of his character and mettle.

"Zhou Wushang, are you saying you're going back on your word and not kneeling?"

As Chu Qingyun spoke, a cold glint appeared in the depths of his eyes.

"Chu Qingyun, don't push it, or I'll make sure you face dire consequences," Zhou Wushang said, his expression turning vicious.

Chu Qingyun nodded. "I understand…"

Suddenly, a ruthless look flashed in his eyes. The Martial Soul Power from both his Flame Martial Soul and his Iron Wire Ten-Star Vine Martial Soul surged through him. In an instant, he lunged in front of Zhou Wushang and viciously swept a kick toward his ankles.

CRACK! CRACK!

Caught completely off guard, Zhou Wushang had no time to defend or dodge. The meager Primordial Power he managed to summon was instantly dispersed by the kick, and both of his ankles were snapped!

With his ankles broken, Zhou Wushang could no longer stand. With a THUD, he knelt before Chu Qingyun.

This…

The surrounding crowd, including even Master Kang, was stunned.

They had thought that Chu Qingyun might lash out in anger and take the opportunity to teach Zhou Wushang a lesson, but they had never expected him to be so decisive, so ruthless.

He showed absolutely no hesitation in teaching Zhou Wushang a lesson!

And when he did act, he acted decisively, immediately breaking both of his ankles!

If you won't kneel, I'll make you kneel!

'To be so ruthless to a disciple of the Saint Extreme Sect without any hesitation… this kid is quite the talent,' Master Kang thought to himself.

Although Master Kang was a Martial King Level Alchemist, he was also a Martial King Level expert.

Martial Artists, especially young ones, should have a certain fighting spirit and drive. If Chu Qingyun had been too afraid of the Saint Extreme Sect's reputation to act…

…then Master Kang would have looked down on him instead. He would have felt that Chu Qingyun was a disgrace to the title of "Alchemist," unworthy of even being called a Martial Artist.
