Within the Natural Sanctuary, lush with flowers and grasses, the former serenity and peace were gone. The sentient creatures of the forest lay trembling on the ground, doing their utmost to hide their own forms.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The Earth kept shuddering, unleashing terrifying rumblings that pressed down on these rare little animals with a suffocating weight.

They were panic‑stricken, yet did not dare lift their heads to look directly toward the source of the chaos.

For they knew it was not a presence they were qualified to gaze upon.

A Divine was enraged.

When a god grows wrathful, all living things bow.

The rising blaze of fury warped the atmosphere of the entire Holy Sanctuary in a dreadful way.

Under the impact of Divine Power, the once verdant forest actually began to show signs of withering, patches of scorched, yellowed earth appearing on the ground.

Fortunately, that decay did not last long—another force, another thunderous resurgence swiftly countered, soon suppressing the spreading wasteland.

The little animals of the forest looked in fear toward its depths.

They did not know what was happening there, nor what future awaited the Natural Pantheon; they only hoped those bygone days of peace and quiet could somehow continue.

Yet anxiety gnawed at them, fear that the Divines would come to blows and utterly shatter that fragile peace.

In truth, however, the site of the Divine quarrel was another scene entirely, nothing like what they imagined.

"Fulingya! You are not allowed to ignore me!"

"Answer me!"

A small giant, like a conglomerate of animated boulders, bellowed in a muffled rumble, his tone anything but pleasant: "You damned creature! You are not allowed to ignore the great Nathaniel!"

"I demand you answer!"

The Stone Giant glared at the detestable figure before him, grinding out a snarl: "Did you not hear what I said?"

"Speak!!!"

Anyone qualified to come here and throw a tantrum was not hard to identify.

[God of Sand and Stone · Nathaniel]

As a Divine possessing the Divine Positions of [Desert] and [Rock], wielding Middle Tier Divine Power, he was naturally a Divine from the Earth Pantheon—and a notorious schemer besides.

"Damn it, I already said it! I came here this time to put an end to the Natural Pantheon’s—"

But no matter how he screamed, roared, bellowed, or stomped... he received not the slightest reply.

Before the Stone Giant, who was raging himself hoarse, sat four Goddesses around the four corners of a dining table, leisurely enjoying their afternoon tea.

Though only a narrow brook less than half a person wide ran between them, it was as if two entire worlds were divided by that little stream.

The three Season Goddesses of Spring, Summer, and Autumn did not even lift their eyelids, utterly ignoring the uselessly furious idiot at their side, chatting among themselves about the freshly picked fruits and vegetables.

And the Forest Goddess seated at the head of the table was even more excessive: she simply closed her eyes and leaned back against the chair, as if she were placidly enjoying a cozy little nap.

The Goddesses’ utter nonchalance only drove the Stone Giant into a complete fury; burning with anger, he instinctively stepped forward.

Yet at the very instant he lifted his foot, a single droplet splashed up from the brook and landed on the top of his foot.

Sss!

That pristine stream water seemed to transform into lethal poison, instantly corroding the stone and sending up tendrils of sinister black smoke.

Upon noticing this, the Stone Giant’s gaze turned cold; he did not howl in pain, but decisively abandoned his entire left leg, snapping it off and smashing the stone limb straight down into the water.

Thud!

When the severed leg had fully dissolved, he had already grown a new stone leg, standing firm once more.

At the same time, the originally clear brook had grown turbid, as though saturated with a vast quantity of silt and sand.

In that seemingly casual moment, the two Divines had already completed a silent exchange of blows, both taking and dealing damage.

The Stone Giant had not gained the upper hand, yet he had still forced the other side to pay a certain price.

And after losing a leg, the Stone Giant finally regained his wits, no longer letting blind rage rule his thoughts.

As the Stone Giant abruptly fell silent, the entire Natural Sanctuary seemed to return to its former tranquility.

"..."

Only once everything had gone quiet did the Forest Goddess slowly open her eyes.

She first glanced at the brook before her, now turned murky, then lifted her gaze to the Stone Giant across the stream, her brows faintly knitting.

"What have you come here for?"

Fulingya asked with a slight frown, as if she had truly just woken up and only now noticed the Stone Giant’s presence.

On the surface, that reaction was nothing out of the ordinary, yet the arrogance hidden behind such a posture only stoked the irritation in the Stone Giant’s heart.

"Heh, you know perfectly well why I’m here!"

However, with his intellect briefly holding the high ground, the Stone Giant did not continue his hysterics. Forcing down his rage, he said in a low voice, "Fulingya, cut the act. Hand those people over at once and give us an explanation!"

"Otherwise, I’ll make sure you understand the price of enraging me!"

The Stone Giant threatened, voice cold as stone. His rough‑hewn features, as if casually assembled by a mischievous child, shifted with a strange rearrangement and twisted into a ferocious grin.

In that moment, he almost seemed to see those people already struggling as they sank into his sands, ultimately crushed to death under the weight of gravel and stone.

They must pay the price they deserve!

This is the fate that awaits those who dare defy a great Divine; this is the bitter lesson you are bound to receive.

As for the possibility of Fulingya refusing... such a scenario had never crossed his mind.
