Disciple of Immortal

Episode Twelve: Mage Gannett

"… what are your plans for today, will you buy?

The receptionist speaks to me.

"Yes. I just don't have a lot of hands, and, uh, let me take a look..."

I answered all the time.

He was looking at me with his hands clenched all the time so Philia could back me up.

"Can you tell me the name of the sorcerer who was taking the appointment to see me?

"No, especially..."

"... you know, right? Did you know that an outside person needs an accompanying magician to get inside?"

The receptionist said so in such a tone as to abandon the child or make a fool of him.

I stared at Kevin.

"And were you going to take that kid into The Wand of Demonic Silver too? I haven't bothered to set such a rule...... think normally and wonder if it's possible. I hope you don't mind."

That's what the receptionist said with his eyes on Philia.

Phyllia trembles on her shoulders, grabs my robe, hides behind her back, and gets smaller and smaller.

"... Philia, I'm waiting outside"

Rather than... at this rate, we're not going to get in the first place.

According to the receptionist, it is a system that cannot be entered in the first place unless there is some connection to the person inside.

More than this, we'll have no choice but to scratch our shame and leave this place and leave Kevin alone.

"In the first place, do you have a pass? I'm going to have to apply for a pass first and have time to review it for about a week..."

"Can I use this facility as long as I go through that review"

Perhaps, depending on the details of the review, you can get a pass for The Wand of Demonic Silver (Mithril).

It's been a long week... but we don't have a lot of business to rush.

"You know what? For the general public to pass, do you have a special introduction… At the very least, you need to be Grade B or above in the Adventurer Guild. Nothing, just because you meet that condition doesn't mean you'll go through a review."

B, grade B or above, or….

Me and Pomera are still C-class adventurers.

You just have to go up one...... but there are verses where the adventurer's ranking weighs more on the number of achievements than on strength itself.

Grade B and above, among other things, will be subject to strict scrutiny.

Maybe... even if we're serious, we'll need some years later.

Besides, class B adventurers are just minimum conditions.

"What's up? You're not gonna file? I thought you were a famous magician because you wanted to know that the Wand of Magic and Silver is the pinnacle of this magic city's research institute..."

Kevin keeps stuffing me here.

... Were you going to make fun of me with that argument?

How dare you, that's why I came all the way out here to buy guidance.

Phylia was trying to shake her arm up to Kevin with no expression on her face, so I gently stopped that arm.

Sometimes if Phyllia did it, she was going to destroy every single one of these buildings, but in the first place, she doesn't even have to bother getting into fights with such a shitty opponent.

"... I'm sorry, I didn't know I was in the world. I'm sorry I put you through so much trouble."

I bowed my head to the receptionist.

"Dude, let me show you this far, you won't have that...... ha"

That's what Kevin said with pleasure.

Philia tried to raise her arm again, but I held it down quickly.

"Is this the kind of magician mock that came out of the country? I want you to keep your head down before the reception..."

That's when the entrance and exit doors opened.

A large man appeared wearing a robe.

Is he around fifty years old?

There were a number of deep wrinkles engraved on his face that were age-appropriate, but he had tough eyes that seemed to be strong in will.

On his high nose, he was a white, wretched bearded figure.

Magic related ornaments stand out on the neck and arms.

The receptionist trembled and pinned his spine.

"Dear Gannett...... good luck. Didn't you have something else to do today?

"Thank you for working. I had to make sure of something else. You let your men throw you."

Apparently Gannett was an executive of The Wand of Demonic Silver (Mithril).

There was majesty and aura in standing and behaving.

Me, Pomera, and Kevin were clearing the way for nature and the back that he would go by.

Phyllia was the only one standing in the middle of the aisle.

"Beard, looks stiff"

I gently grabbed Philia's shoulder and pulled her towards the end of the aisle.

"You don't have to worry about me. The purpose of coming here has already been fulfilled. I thought it was a good time to hear you were headed for Mithril's Cane."

Gannett is slowly coming this way.

After coming in front of me, Guru turned his body and stood in front of Pomera.

Gannett also stood in front of Pomera following it as Pomera slowly retreated to the side as she bowed her head and gave way.

"Oh, um... Pomera, do you have something to tell me...?

Gannett stared at Pomera and then took a deep lead.

"I've heard more about you than my men back from Arloburg, Holy Virgin Pomera. A magician corresponding to an S-class adventurer is visiting this magical city, who defended the people of the city by himself over the evil junction of the Human Demon Dragon. No, it's a pleasure to meet you."

That's what Gannett said to Pomera.

Kevin and the receptionist opened their big mouths with their jaws all the way off, watching Pomera with a stunned look with her rounded eyes just popping out.

Pomera turned to me like she was uncomfortable asking for help.
