Disciple of Immortal

Lesson XVI Substitutes

After checking the ore and metal found in the Wand of Demonic Silver (Mithril), it was discovered that there was no Adamant Ore or anything that might replace it.

I managed to get past Gannett, and me and Pomera and Filia decided to leave behind the Wand of Demonic Silver.

I also had a strange tiredness after I kept walking around, so I decided to take a break and eat early.

Enter the liquor store you see.

"Is it a tavern..."

Mouth as Pomera whines.

I fell for her words.

"... I'm not very good at alcohol, and Pomera is that... I don't want you to get too drunk, just eat, please"

"Well... Pomera, was it that bad before...?

Pomera asks anxiously.

I let the bitter laugh come back to me.

"The reaction is the best…"

"... maybe you shouldn't ask"

"Oh, was it that bad, Pomera...? No, if Kanata says you shouldn't ask, I'm going to not ask...... Well, I'm sorry to bother you..."

Pomera drips.

Behind my brain comes a figure of Pomera who was mouthing 'Kanata Shyang' with a pleasant voice as she rubbed her cheek against my desk.

... Let's just say I didn't see Pomera then either.

"Uh... so, uh, do you give up on the ore thing yet?

I snort deeply.

"Yeah, I noticed a big deal about that. Apparently, C-grade items are the limit for items that can be purchased in cities. Above here, we may have to make a direct connection with the other adventurers or go get them ourselves..."

I hold my head down with my hands.

We should have handled God's Blood Ether a little more carefully.

I may have misjudged the value and done something outrageous.

"Ah... I knew you hadn't noticed..."

That's what Pomera said with a distant eye.

"Sorry, maybe Pomera should have told you a little more firmly...... Because Kanata was so confident, I wondered if Pomera was wrong about anything..."

... Again, my supposed level of standards and item standards seemed disastrous.

It looks like you should stop pulling the common sense of Hell's Hole (Coquitos) at all.

A little more, maybe we should ditch the stereotypes and review the surroundings.

"But what can we do in the future if we don't get Adamant Ore... I would have liked to use ether to raise Mr. Pomera's level a little more... you're putting it off more and more"

"... do you say that you feel like you don't have to raise the level of Pomera that much either..."

Pomera says it sounds spicy.

"Kanata, do you have something you want?

Philia, sitting beside me, calls out.

"Oh, I wanted a rare ore... it seemed like it was about three levels rarer than I thought, and I had no more prospect of getting it"

Philia swallows the food she was mouthing all at once and slaps herself in the chest confidently.

"Then Philia will let you out for Canata! Hey, hey, Kanata! What name is it, what stone is it?

"Let me out, I'll give you...?

"Come on, come on!

As I lean my neck, Philia hurries.

"It's a very hard purple stone called Adamant Ore..."

"Okay! Leave it to Phyllia!

Philia held her hand and said, "Yes!," he exclaims, opening his hands.

Inside, the ore was gripped with purple light.

At least that look is consistent with what I know about Adamant Ore.

"Oh, what... Yep!?

I was so surprised that I forgot that it was in the store that I shouted out.

"Philia, isn't that amazing? Praise, praise!

Pomera looked at her flashly next to Filia, who was so obsessed with her mouth.

"Ka, Kanata, what the hell is going on...?

"... Originally, Phyllia's body was a chunk of The Sand of Dreams"

The Sand of Dreams is the ultimate catalyst for alchemy that creates all things.

In addition, he has the power to respond to people's thoughts and fulfill all their wishes.

She controlled that power, producing dragons, copying my powers, creating minutes of body, and so on to show it.

But...... I never thought I could create a rare ore as I wanted.

Too convenient.

"Sir, be quiet in the store"

When I forgot the place and was excited, the saloon clerk gave me that warning.

"... Excuse me, I'm sorry"

Apologizing, my head was already full of "Sand of Dreams" stuff.

After the meal, it was decided to conduct a verification of the "Adamant Ore" produced by Filia in one of the rooms of the Inn.

In the room, I lined up the pan I had bought from the store, and I put a fragment of Philia's Adamant Ore in it to verify its properties from various sides.

"How's it going? Philia, can you help Canata?

Philia asks excitedly.

"... maybe not after all"

"Oh, no, are you...?

When I answered, Philia was in shock.

Pomera rushes to support her.

"So, can't you? That's what Kanata said about having the power to create all sorts of things..."

"Looks like there are a lot of constraints. It seems that what Phyllia can make will basically take the form of a degraded copy with properties close to the subject...... When the object created by it is less than a certain size, it seems to be collapsing, returning to the Sands of Dreams, and being taken in by Phyllia..."

By its very nature, you probably can't use a copy of Phyllia as a material or a drug.

Apparently, in the Memoirs of Acacia, too, Philia's creation was recognized as the Sand of Dreams.

"However, if you have Dream Sand, you may be able to make Adamant Ore."

"Really? Philia, I can help you!?

Filia brightens her face and revives.

It has not yet been finalised… With the Sand of Dreams, it should have been possible to create the Adamant Ore in alchemy using lower ore.

The Sand of Dreams was originally the ultimate catalyst for alchemy that creates all things.

It has the power to rewrite the nature of a wide range of substances, depending on how they are used, even without exercising the peculiarities of Filia's control.

If we can create substitutes of a similar nature, even if we cannot create the Adamant Ore itself, we can make it a material of the Blood Ether of God.

I see a live path.

The problem is I'm going to really need the money for that alchemy experiment......
