Disciple of Immortal

Episode XVIII: Philia's Registration Certificate

I was visiting the Adventurer's Guild in the Magic City of Manarak, with Pomera and Filia, after a day's rest at the Inn.

Using Filia's Sands of Dreams as a catalyst, it was likely that lower ore could be used to create Adamant Ore in alchemy.

... but we don't have the money for that alchemy experiment.

The idea was to make some money from the Adventurer Alliance again.

If it's me, Pomera, or Philia's level, it should be as good as asking for an Adventurer's Guild.

Let me earn the cost of the alchemy experiment lightly.

... Most of all, if you stand out poorly, you will run the risk of being able to see the Human Demon Dragon and the Reincarnator.

I've only just met a mysterious magician who lightly adorns Philia since I got here.

Somewhat out of hand, you should avoid standing out in a weird way.

The Adventurer's Guild in Manarak was slightly more elegant than the Adventurer's Guild in Arloburg.

The beautifully polished stone floor reflected us walking up there.

Face rashes are also overwhelmingly few crude humans like chimps.

It was just called the magic city of Manarak, and there were many magicians.

"We were C-class adventurers now, weren't we? I'm sure you'll be able to get a request for a lot of money."

I said that while checking the Adventurer's registration card I got in Aaroburg.

"When I think of Kanata's strength, I feel like I don't have the time to take a C-level request anymore..."

Pomera said blush.

But that's what the Adventurer Guild dictates, so I can't help it.

Besides, it's not a bad idea to do an easy job and get paid to do it as far as it's safe.

"Can Phyllia and Phyllia be adventurers?

That's what Filia said with her eyes shining.

Apparently she admired the adventurer... rather than just being intrigued by anything.

"I can be. I'll give you the registration fee, so you can make me a registration card for Philia."

When I told her that as I stroked her head, Phyllia was thrilled to burst her arms.

"Yay! Thanks, Kanata! Philia, glad!

... but when I asked for Philia's registration at the reception, an official of the guild showed me the difficulty.

"Are you registering a child like that who's not even ten yet?

"That, could it... hook you up to some kind of rule?

"I won't hook you up... but it's not much of a compliment. Sometimes I have people like you who try to use children, hire people to register, and keep more names that they can freely handle."

Officials get tired of looking at each other.

... There seems to be a lot of people who can do troublesome things.

However, the actual registration certificate system is a little coarse.

I have heard in Aaroburg that the person who placed the surrogate order for the request has been stripped of his registration card.

Originally, only Class C adventurers can take requests from Class C or above, but the Class C adventurer leaves the work ordered to the Class D adventurer for an intermediary fee.

I have also heard of buying achievements from other adventurers to increase the ranks of adventurers.

Such irregularities are difficult to cope with systematically.

For that matter, the Alliance's officials must commit themselves to responding to fraud.

With that in mind, if you think you're obviously distrustful, even if it's not in the rules, you probably have no choice but to hang the stop.

"Philia, you must be a thousand years old! I'm not a kid!

"Please calm down, Philia! Right?

Pomera is forgiving Philia.

Pomera's face is desperate because she understands that she can't stop herself if Phyllia gets busted for real.

"That child... are you going to take him on a demonic crusade? You don't look like you can fight very well."

"It's okay. Philia is a very strong child."

"It is true that Rifia, the Virgin, defeated the Dragon at the age of ten, but it seems very unlikely to me that the child could fight for it"

Listening to the official's words, Philia, who was slowly leaning over, turned her face up with a glowing expression.

I stuck my arm out to stop her.

"Philia, don't throw the Initial Dragon!

"Gravi......"

Phyllia sticks her finger out.

"Stop the Ultra-Gravity Bomb!"

You may have thought it was just right to show your strength, but your guild is going to be devastated.

Or if Phyllia showed strength even on one scale, it would definitely be a fuss.

Pomera also looked bright blue and held Philia back.

"Ka, Kanata, isn't something going to happen...?

Go on, ask me if Pomera's scared.

Well, somehow...

"... I know Phyllia can fight there, but I don't think she'll take you to the battlefield again and again. Because she's a genius, but she's just too young. However, as an adventurer you should have minimal strength, and today is a little anniversary and he wants to register you as an adventurer if you have no problems with the rules..."

Apart from the coin I was offering as a registration fee, I picked a few fingers of gold and secretly handed it over to the staff.

After a moment of silence, the official laughed niggly at the mouth only.

"Hmm, if that's what you're going to say, you can't help it. We only confirm your will."

Officials were collecting gold coins all the time and were in a small, gutsy pose.

... I thought you might get mad, but it's good to see the bribe of bitter meat through.

Leave it out. I don't know, will the guild be okay here?

Thus I successfully completed my Philia Adventurer registration and was able to obtain a registration certificate.

"Wow! Now Philia is an adventurer, too, starting today!

Phyllia is drying up her registration card.

I sighed softly. Glad your guild wasn't blown away by the Initial Dragon.

"Then I'd like to order a request... for a C-class adventurer, any good requests?

"I have a request asking the whole adventurer to take precedence over the C-class adventurer. There's a massive" Monster Parade "of black spiders in the woods near the city."

"Black, spider......"

I remember that.

On my way to this city by carriage, I was under such demonic raids.

Apparently, it's soaring across Manarak's perimeter.
