Disciple of Immortal

Episode XIX: Raño's Crusade Request

"The Adventurer Guild of the Manarak Branch is currently asking adventurers to prioritize attacks on the Black Spider's" Monster Parade ". The Black Spider is a demon of a species called Ragno, and there is a big first, but we use it as a crusade proof site to make purchases in 25,000 gold one at a time."

Staff description continues.

Think of it as the exact same demon I saw on the carriage as the black spider Ragno.

But... 25,000 gold per unit?

If I knew about this, I would have recovered it on the road in the carriage, but I did a shame.

There must have been nearly fifty of them.

Thinking it was a million and a half million gold in that herd, the Alliance side seems to be very excited about this one.

"Raño is considered to be around the D-level for the whole hazard. We advise adventurers below level D to be quite careful and try."

Even when I checked Ragno's status, the level was just not high.

It should have been level 24.

I don't really know the per-class level criterion, but perhaps the neighborhood will be D-class.

"And then... this is a pretty irregular thing to do, so I don't know what's going to happen. The majority of Monster Parades are largely for unknown reasons, but just too large this time around. It is even said that the superior demons may be lurking. I'm afraid that if I leave it, more raños will break into the city of Manarak, so as a guild, I can't even go out and see how it goes."

Whatever happens, it's your own fault?

I know we're going to be fine... but I'm sure we've never been there to be vigilant.

I received a brief summary of the request from an official.

It seems to be an overall map of the city's surroundings, but the spider's mark appears to have been painted where Ragno's discovery report appeared.

The area around where I crusaded Ragno seems to be particularly prone to Ragno, which had a red spider mark on it.

Suggested Class B Adventurers and above, with annotations.

"What do you think? It's great as a golden measure, and I would like to take it from a lot of requests from people in need anyway..."

"I think that's fine with Pomera, too. It doesn't seem like there are any other requests..."

That's what Pomera said as she glanced over the list of other requests.

I listened to her and turned to the staff.

"Okay. Ranho's crusade request, let me take it on."

From the description of the staff, it seemed that quite a few adventurers were already on their way to the crusade of Raño.

We can't be late, either.

This request is a pretty delicious one.

Requests that can target close to a million gold at a time are unlikely to be the first to be ordered by a C-level adventurer.

Let me hunt a little more raño and help you with your gold measures.

"Looks like the other adventurers are thinking about hunting raño."

When he left the reception after finishing the order for the request, Pomera said so with an eye toward another place.

I follow her gaze and look around.

"Ragno is rare, but he doesn't seem like a big demon. 25,000 gold is delicious."

"Oh, thank God this city has gold. Range Magic makes it easy to earn a month in a day."

An adventurer who apparently received the same request was seen discussing Raño's crusade request.

There are other adventurers who seem to be discussing Raño.

If you look at it this way, the competition rate seems to be quite high.

I guess it's because the reward is good.

I guess that's because the Adventurer Alliance side is in danger and wants to deal with it as soon as possible.

Looking around in the guild with that in mind… I noticed a familiar person at the receptionist.

"I am honestly relieved that a handful of A-level adventurers have asked me to..."

"Few, class A adventurers, huh?... the famous magic city of Manarak, to that extent. There's no tension that you don't have someone to line your shoulders with. I seem a little too strong."

A beautiful blonde was shaking her neck from left to right, like, oh man.

That attentive toned man is certainly an adventurer I've seen in the city and his name is Alfred.

As before, there are adventurers with short blue hair stuck beside them.

"Few, A-level adventurers..."

I repulse what I just said.

Sure, Alfred's level is 76.

You won't be backing off against a Ragno opponent... but at level 76, will you be treated like one of the few A-level adventurers?

I recognized that the level of this world was limitless at the top and almost sidelined at the bottom, but it seems extreme nonetheless.

The more I know, the more Rovis' rating rises relative in me.

"Good luck! I don't know if I would say this as an official...... Actually, I've been a fan of Mr. Alfred for a long time! I've always wanted to see you when I heard you visited this city!

"I'm sorry, but I'm tired of those words... At all, I don't remember doing a big thing. Too much heartbreak for the adventurers around you."

Alfred shrugged his shoulders.

I could see some of the adventurers around me killing each other.

... I felt as I was walking around this city looking for material for "God's Blood Ether," but all the inhabitants of this city have high pride.

For better or worse, he seemed proud of the magical city of Manarak.

If the streamers put it that way, objection would be inevitable.

"If you're wondering as an official, why don't you shut up and do your job? You must be in the middle of a job, right?

A woman swordsman beside her stares at an official while holding one of Alfred's arms.

They were staring at each other as they were.

"Relax, it's Saila. A people frightened by demonic damage seeks a hero. It would also be a duty for a chosen person like me to live up to expectations. I find that annoying at times..."

Alfred scratched his own hair pointlessly, far-eyed to recall something from the past, and sighed slightly carelessly.

Every move was a playful move.

"Suggest on the top that you prepare your money, daughter of an official. Let's declare that we will gather more Raño's eyes than anyone else."

Alfred proclaimed loud and high.

"... might look a little good"

"Mr. Canata, are you serious?!?

When I shrugged, Pomera opened her eyes wide and asked me questions.

Alfred seemed white with all his words and deeds on him, but watching all the time made him seem kind of like an ant with that one.

I also feel like I can forgive those unsatisfactory and conceited words and actions if I think they are backed by strength.

... level 76, but well, I guess in Adventurers Guild, it's a range to be seen as sufficiently powerful.

"... Ka, Kanata, is that what you yearn for?

"I don't think I admire you again..."

I cloud my words.

Pomera was stiff as she was a little shocked, but tied her mouth much as she cemented her determination.

"... Pomera will follow you no matter what happens to Mr. Canata!

... Pomerarily, Alfred's words and actions were nassi.
