"Mythical Transformation has limits in both time and usage. I can only assist you to a very limited extent, but I believe she won’t present an unsolvable problem."

Dou Yanlan said to Qi Chen, glancing at the newly appeared Beast Tamer. She had never seen that Leopard-type Spirit Beast before and couldn’t figure out what variation of Spirit Beast it might be. Based on the two beasts the opponent used earlier, she suspected their choice order was similar to hers, prioritizing defense support.

The reason Dou Yanlan made this choice was entirely due to Qi Chen. Could it be the same situation for her counterpart in this world?

With confusion in her heart, Dou Yanlan didn’t have the luxury to ponder further. As she’d just stated, she had already exhausted all her Mythical Transformations for her beasts. Although it was possible to go back and ask Tamur for a Mythical Transformation aid, she doubted he would allow her to cheat like that.

Thus, the upcoming battle relied solely on Qi Chen and the two remaining action chances of Long Boduo.

The Netherworld Land had a unique feature: on this land, all concealment techniques, except for specific Spirit Beasts, would become ineffective, including any Subspace Stealth methods.

This was also Dou Yanlan’s reason for having Long Boduo take action. Only Netherworld Divine Beasts have the ability to directly manifest the Netherworld Land in the real world and maintain its presence for an extended period.

As for clearing up post-battle? That wasn’t hard; since it’s released by a Netherworld Divine Beast, retracting it wouldn’t be difficult. Instead, once the Nether Soil was deployed, it greatly restrained the opponent’s invisibility abilities.

Besides, neither Dou Yanlan’s nor Qi Chen’s Beast Tamers had invisibility skills, so the indiscriminate limitations didn’t affect them at all.

"Is that... Qi Hua Yaoyao? How does it look like this?"

Feng Yuan was taken aback when he saw the new Beast Tamer. He couldn’t immediately recognize what the Leopard-type Spirit Beast was, primarily due to substantial appearance changes caused by Qi Realm alteration. As for Qi Hua Yaoyao, this Spirit Beast was rather unique, possessing only three evolutionary stages with significant volatility in strength.

The initial seed form only required a floral seed to evolve, yet this stage was the most crucial as the seed used in this stage directly impacted its future attributes and ultimate moves.

The bud form wasn’t as complex, merely an accumulation of energy, waiting for the seed’s final evolution post-assimilation.

This means Qi Hua Yaoyao would transform based on the floral seed it received during the seed stage, and this would reflect in its appearance.

Qi Hua Yaoyao appeared as a half-human puppet-like spirit beast, with its lower body being a large blooming flower, modeled on its chosen floral seed, and its upper body a cartoonish half-bust doll dressed to match the flower.

What struck Feng Yuan as odd was Qi Hua Yaoyao’s appearance. That decoration resembling a hellish flower, what features of a strange flower could possibly have mutated to such an extent? Surely the Qi Realm transformation didn’t alter what shouldn’t have been changed, right?

In his subconscious, it seemed impossible, yet Feng Yuan couldn’t dismiss the possibility. Qi Hua Yaoyao’s appearance was somehow connected to its attributes, but the transformation seemed to turn it into a nonexistent flower.

If that’s true, then would its unique ultimate move change as well?

"Qi Chen! Pay attention, there’s something wrong with this Qi Hua Yaoyao!"

After this realization, Feng Yuan couldn’t help but shout a warning. Perhaps alarmed by Feng Yuan’s shout, Qi Hua Yaoyao clasped its hands and started to pray with its eyes closed.

"This isn’t good! Long Boduo, I need your help, Silence of the Dead Fog!"

Seeing Qi Hua Yaoyao’s action, Dou Yanlan’s face changed upon hearing Feng Yuan’s warning. Without waiting for Qi Chen’s response, she chose to use her second action chance.

Long Boduo snorted and stomped, causing black mist to swirl and drift above the Nether Soil. However, scarlet Hell Flowers bloomed continuously, only to wither under the influence of the Silence of the Dead Fog.

"Ah Chen, be careful. They might be the fabled Hell Flowers, and according to legends, anyone who touches them will have their mind dragged into endless torment."

Seeing the constantly appearing and disappearing sea of flowers, Dou Yanlan shivered. This thing was eerily similar to the legendary Hell Flowers.

Qi Hua Yaoyao’s ultimate move, Qi Hua Blossom, was a unique creation-from-nothing ultimate move. Unlike conventional moves, Qi Hua Blossom, much like Long Boduo’s released Nether Soil and Silence of the Dead Fog, could completely change the environment after being deployed.

But unlike Long Boduo’s method, Qi Hua Blossom could be deployed but not retracted. Additionally, since the seeds Qi Hua Yaoyao could access were real-world flowers without exaggerated effects, this ultimate move was generally used for practical purposes.

Seeing it forcibly used in battle like this was a first for Dou Yanlan. Of course, this was due to the peculiarities of the Qi Realm. At least from Feng Yuan’s information, Qi Hua Yaoyao couldn’t blossom with special flowers, especially those with enhanced effects.

Otherwise, Qi Hua Yaoyao wouldn’t be categorized as a life Spirit Beast. After all, if it could use special flowers like the Hell Flower, even with just Qi Hua Blossom as an ultimate move, it would be indispensable in combat ranks.

Not to mention that while Qi Hua Yaoyao’s ultimate move leaned towards support, it wasn’t entirely lacking in strength. Or rather, Qi Hua Yaoyao lacked powerful support and offensive ultimate moves, making it just a subpar support option among many stronger beings.

"Strange, even if the Qi Realm is special, it’s unlikely this timeline’s Dou Yanlan would use Qi Hua Yaoyao."

Even though this Qi Hua Yaoyao was causing quite a hassle for Qi Chen and his group, Feng Yuan wasn’t overly concerned. After all, though the Hell Flowers possessed certain resistance, breaking through Long Boduo’s altered environment was impossible.

What confused him was the Soul Projection; wasn’t it supposed to be an echo of Qi Realm Dou Yanlan’s Beast Tamer choice?

As previously mentioned, Feng Yuan didn’t believe Qi Realm Dou Yanlan would include Qi Hua Yaoyao in her team. Seriously, Qi Hua Yaoyao’s combat ability was lacking, not suited for battle.

Even for nurturing, the Spirit Beast Contract could suffice. Qi Realm Dou Yanlan wasn’t like him, possessing sufficient power to overlook the embarrassment from insufficient Beast Tamer strength.

Dou Yanlan didn’t have time to ponder why Soul Projection used Qi Hua Yaoyao. Upon seeing purple smoke rising from the Leopard-type Spirit Beast, she wordlessly turned to Qi Chen.

"Ah Mu! Forest Domain, Hao Chun Bird! Desperate Counterattack!"

Frowning, Feng Yuan saw Dou Yanlan not stopping Qi Chen. Or rather, in her judgement, Qi Chen’s actions posed no danger.

The Hao Chun Bird didn’t take flight, instead perched atop A Mu Tree Crown, as the Forest Domain unfolded, showing a breath of life over the Nether Soil. Green light balls quietly gathered around the Hao Chun Bird, awaiting the opportune moment.

The purple smoke suddenly spread from the Leopard-type Spirit Beast. In the next instant, a purple flash occurred, and the Leopard-type Spirit Beast appeared in front of Qi Chen. At this moment, the Hao Chun Bird executed the Desperate Counterattack.

Green light balls exploded to form a large green Hao Chun Bird. The claw attack aimed at Qi Chen strangely veered towards the Hao Chun Bird but due to its perch on A Mu Tree Crown, the Nether Claw Assault missed the Hao Chun Bird and instead hit A Mu.

Compared to the Hao Chun Bird, A Mu was known for high health. Taking a direct hit from the Nether Claw Assault didn’t inflict significant damage on A Mu. Conversely, the green Hao Chun Bird avatar delivered a notable blow to the Leopard-type Spirit Beast.

Seeing the Leopard-type Spirit Beast retreat swiftly from A Mu, Feng Yuan rubbed his chin, remarking

"Does the Wood attribute’s Desperate Counterattack in Forest Domain have a target-forcing ability? Quite a reckless synergy."

Within moments, Feng Yuan clarified the situation, and it wasn’t too complicated. Desperate Counterattack, as a reciprocal damage technique, forfeited defense, granting it a special defense-ignoring effect.

Of course, this effect only applied between Spirit Beasts. It was reduced or nullified against Divine Beasts and similar entities.

However, upon activation, it’s impossible to perform any defense, and a portion of the damage received would accompany the Desperate Counterattack on the enemy.

Normally, deploying Hao Chun Bird with this move was suicidal. The Leopard-type Spirit Beast was Legendary Level strength, and Desperate Counterattack had no defensive properties, rendering it ineffective, leading to loss of combat capacity.

Nonetheless, Qi Chen cleverly altered the circumstances using A Mu and Hao Chun Bird’s positioning.

While in the Forest Domain, Desperate Counterattack could forcibly redirect attacks to itself. However, it didn’t prevent obstacles from intercepting attack paths.

As for A Mu... within the Forest Domain, given its attributes, withstanding a Legendary Level Nether Claw Assault wasn’t too problematic.
