After everyone jumped off the Cyan Cloud Crane, Wei Yunhang led Lin Yun toward his own small courtyard. Wei Yunhang’s status in Taiqing Academy was much like Lin Yun’s in Flawless Palace; both were idols to all the other disciples.

Along the way, every Taiqing Academy disciple they passed would respectfully bow to Wei Yunhang. However, the eyes of those disciples, men and women alike, invariably landed on Lin Yun and his companions.

The male disciples were, of course, stunned by the beauty of Lu Bingning and the two other women. The female disciples, on the other hand, naturally turned their attention to Lin Yun. ’Anyone who can chat so casually with Brother Wei must have an extraordinary background.’

"Who’s that walking with Brother Wei? He looks so young," a group of female disciples whispered, chattering amongst themselves as they surreptitiously sized Lin Yun up.

"I don’t know, but I can’t see through his cultivation at all. He seems just like an ordinary person."

"You guys don’t even know who he is? He’s the First Senior Brother of Flawless Palace, Lin Yun! He’s one of the six great Demon Fiends of the Eastern Domain, same as Brother Wei. See that golden robe he’s wearing? That’s the uniform of a Flawless Palace Core Disciple."

Once someone revealed Lin Yun’s identity, the passing female disciples’ gazes instantly filled with adoration. ’To be on par with Brother Wei, his status and strength must be formidable.’

However, while some thought this way, others felt that Lin Yun was all flash and no substance. After all, everyone in the Eastern Domain knew his cultivation was only at the Primordial Ocean Realm.

No matter how strong someone in the Primordial Ocean Realm was, there was a limit. Therefore, many disciples in Taiqing Academy still felt Lin Yun’s title as one of the six great Demon Fiends of the Eastern Domain was an exaggeration.

The main plaza of Taiqing Academy was vast. Led by Wei Yunhang, Lin Yun’s group crossed it and had just arrived at the Direct Disciple Area when a dozen or so people came running toward them. They were the disciples from Flawless Palace.

Bai Zhicheng and He Yuntian were at the head of the group. Running up to Lin Yun, the dozen or so disciples bowed deeply and greeted him, "First Senior Brother."

Lin Yun smiled and nodded. Bai Zhicheng and the others had arrived three days ago, and their accommodations had already been arranged. Originally, Wei Yunhang had suggested that Lin Yun stay with him.

But Lin Yun had politely refused. As he put it, since they were guests at Taiqing Academy, it was only right for him to stay with his fellow disciples from Flawless Palace.

Wei Yunhang didn’t object. He led Lin Yun to the quarters assigned to the Flawless Palace disciples, an area Taiqing Academy reserved for esteemed guests.

The area consisted of exquisite little courtyards, each able to house four people. As it happened, Lin Yun would be sharing one with Lu Bingning and the other two women.

The design of the small courtyards perfectly complemented the overall architecture of Taiqing Academy, with green vegetation climbing over the eaves. After a moment, Lu Bingning and the other two women went to their rooms, leaving Lin Yun and Wei Yunhang to chat on the bamboo chairs in the courtyard.

"You’ve broken through to the Celestial Spirit Realm, haven’t you, Lin Yun?" Wei Yunhang asked with a light smile, taking a sip of clear tea.

Hearing this, Lin Yun didn’t try to hide it. He nodded slightly and said, "Brother Wei, you have a keen eye. You probably noticed the change in my cultivation the moment you saw me today."

"Haha, it was just a guess," Wei Yunhang replied with a hearty, natural laugh. "I can’t see through your cultivation anymore."

The two of them chatted for about an hour. Wei Yunhang eventually took his leave, as he had other matters to attend to. He told Lin Yun that the Taiqing Academy’s grand competition was starting the next day. It would last for three days, and he would come to pick Lin Yun up in the morning.

After Wei Yunhang left, Lin Yun remained seated on the bamboo chair, his thoughts turning to Qin Feng. ’I can’t believe Li Tian actually managed to get Qin Feng into Taiqing Academy. That’s something I never would have expected.’

Just as Lin Yun was thinking about Qin Feng, a figure entered the courtyard without even knocking. Lin Yun turned his head, and a smile spread across his face. The newcomer was none other than Qin Feng.

"Brother Lin...!" The moment he saw Lin Yun, Qin Feng cried out in joy and started jogging toward him.

"Haha, not bad! You’re already at the Ninth Layer of the Primordial Ocean Realm." Lin Yun stood up and gave Qin Feng a big bear hug. ’Looks like he’s made a lot of progress at Taiqing Academy. To think his cultivation has already reached the Ninth Layer of the Primordial Ocean Realm.’

"Hehe, it’s been okay..." Hearing Lin Yun’s praise, Qin Feng scratched his head, grinning sheepishly.

"Sit down, let’s talk." Lin Yun was overjoyed to see Qin Feng again after so long; they had much to catch up on.

They chatted animatedly. Before long, Lu Bingning and the other two women emerged from their rooms. Upon seeing Qin Feng, both Lu Bingning and Lan Xi had looks of utter disbelief on their faces.

’They never imagined they would run into Qin Feng here! And judging by his clothes, he was actually a Core Disciple of Taiqing Academy!’

That’s right. In just a few short years, Qin Feng had become a Core Disciple of Taiqing Academy. Although Qin Feng didn’t elaborate, Lin Yun could guess that he must have worked incredibly hard over the years.

Old friends reunited naturally have endless things to talk about. Although Mo Qingliu didn’t know Qin Feng, her lively personality meant she was soon chatting away with him as well.

Qin Feng, that rascal, knew how to be charming. He looked at the three women and called each of them "Sister-in-law," which made them all beam with delight, especially young Mo Qingliu.

Even though she was clearly the youngest of them all, she put on a mature air, patting Qin Feng’s shoulder and saying, "Mm, not bad. Your sister-in-law will have your back from now on."

The three women chattered excitedly, bombarding Qin Feng with questions about his last few years, while Lin Yun found himself squeezed to the side.

With a wry, helpless smile, Lin Yun let the three women carry on. As evening fell, Qin Feng suggested they go to his place for a few drinks.

Lin Yun smiled and agreed. He decided not to bring Lu Bingning and the other two women along. With them there, he’d hardly be able to get a word in edgewise. Besides, they weren’t particularly interested in drinking anyway.

The women told Lin Yun not to drink too much, and then he and Qin Feng walked out of the courtyard.

As a Core Disciple of Taiqing Academy, Qin Feng now lived in the Core Disciple Area, which was a fair distance from where Lin Yun was staying.

Along the way, Qin Feng told Lin Yun about his experiences over the past few years. He explained that Li Tian had brought him to Taiqing Academy back then. He still didn’t know what strings Li Tian had pulled, but somehow he had been accepted as an Inner Sect Disciple.

Afterward, Qin Feng’s talent began to shine through at Taiqing Academy. He soon became the top Inner Sect Disciple. Later, he caught the eye of one of Taiqing Academy’s Supreme Elders, who took him on as a disciple, and thus he became a Core Disciple.

The two continued to chat as they walked toward the Core Disciple Area. Just as they reached the entrance, a group of people moved to block their path.

Judging by their attire, the leader of the dozen-strong group was a Core Disciple of Taiqing Academy, just like Qin Feng. The people behind him were all Direct Disciples.
