Chapter 2827 - 17: The Bedsheet, Thrown Away?
When Jared Holbrook and Franklin Miller were packing up to leave, Jordan Lancaster happened to be heading to the military headquarters for an inspection.
Therefore, he was unaware that Harrison Lucas did not join them on vacation but instead stayed at home.
While at the military headquarters, Jordan Lancaster instructed a young military officer to call the nanny, Auntie, to inform her that she doesn’t need to come to the small building to clean for the next week.
Without Harrison Lucas looking after the house, Jordan Lancaster disliked having outsiders coming and going freely.
The nanny received the notification from the young officer while busy in the kitchen, and after hanging up, she ran suspiciously to the third-floor stairway.
"Miss Lucas, Miss Lucas..." Auntie stood at the stairway and called upstairs.
This morning, it was due to Major General Lucas’s command that she dared to go up to the third floor to change the sheets.
Ordinarily, without permission from Jordan Lancaster, and without Harrison Lucas leading, the third floor was absolutely forbidden territory for Auntie.
Harrison Lucas was presently in a third-floor room, changing the body wash for the young master.
Last night, the young master said he liked the kind of body wash she used and asked her to change all the body wash to the same brand, something Harrison Lucas wouldn’t dare forget.
This afternoon she specifically went out to buy that same product and now has already quickly replaced it.
Upon hearing Auntie’s urgent calling downstairs, Harrison Lucas carried the replaced body wash and came downstairs, "Auntie, what’s wrong, calling so urgently."
"Miss Lucas, please come down quickly... I just received a call, and someone from the Major General’s side informed me that I don’t need to come to clean for the next week. What’s going on with the Major General; did I do something today that displeased him, offending him, and now he wants to kick me out?"
Ordinarily, the nanny, Auntie, is a taciturn person at home and speaks little but works diligently, which is why Jordan Lancaster particularly kept her for cleaning.
But in reality, she is silent only in front of Jordan Lancaster.
When it’s just her and Harrison Lucas at home, Auntie talks quite a lot.
Miss Lucas looks neat and handsome, the kind of young man middle-aged women liked the most.
Even if he always kept a straight face, looking cool and detached, as long as you asked him for help, he would readily agree.
Auntie knew, Miss Lucas was cool on the outside but warm on the inside, actually very easy to talk to, and she liked dealing with him the most at the military headquarters.
Upon hearing Auntie’s words, Harrison Lucas shook his head, "No, I haven’t heard that the young master found anything wrong with you again."
Behind Jordan Lancaster’s back, Harrison Lucas still liked to call him the young master.
Having called him that for so many years, she’d long since gotten used to it.
"That’s really strange, neither you nor Major General Lucas know how to cook, why would you tell me I don’t need to come next week... Ah, right!" Auntie clapped her forehead, suddenly recalling something.
She excitedly said, "Could it be that the bedding I changed this morning wasn’t to his satisfaction? Or has he found out I didn’t throw away the sheets?"
"The sheets, throw away?"
Hearing the word ’sheets’, Harrison Lucas immediately became tense.
"Auntie, what’s going on exactly, please speak slowly."
Finally, after a while, Harrison Lucas learned about Jordan Lancaster’s secret order this morning for Auntie to replace the sheets.
When hearing the elder young master’s special instruction to ’throw away the sheets,’ Harrison Lucas’s heart fiercely clenched.
Not out of anguish but fear.
She was forced into thinking guiltily that the young master wouldn’t have known about last night’s matter, hence ordering such a directive now, would he!
