Chapter 2751 - 224: Is Abraham Redington Angry?
"Is there something going on at home?" Senior Shannon Cooper looked surprised, "I remember your home is in A City, and you’re studying alone in H City, so even if you go back, you’d be alone, how could there be anything at home?"
Molly Wellington’s breath caught, oh well, she forgot she had told Senior Mrs. Cooper about her family’s situation in the past.
Shannon’s eyes darted, smiling as she questioned, "Underclassman, could it be that you’re avoiding us seniors because you think we’re too old to hang out with?"
"How could that be..."
"If not, then come on, come on, join us for the dinner." Without another word, Shannon looped her arm through Molly Wellington’s and dragged her away.
The senior’s enthusiasm was hard to refuse, and since it was their first group activity today, Molly really couldn’t leave early.
She followed behind Senior Shannon, and while the senior was talking to others, she quickly sent a text to Abraham Redington.
[The activity on my side is over, but today is the group’s first day, and the senior invited me to dinner, so I can’t decline. After you finish work, have dinner on your own first, I’ll head home a bit later.]
After sending the text, Molly Wellington watched the cell phone screen, waiting for Abraham Redington’s reply, but there was no response from him for quite some time.
Is he mad already?
Molly wasn’t sure what Abraham was thinking, remembering that she indeed broke the appointment today, she sent him another message.
[I’m sorry, I know I broke the appointment, but I really can’t leave... I promise you, as soon as the dinner is over, I’ll head home immediately.]
However, after sending the second message, it was still like a stone sinking into the sea.
Not even a punctuation mark from Abraham Redington.
Is he really mad, ignoring her?
Originally, Molly Wellington felt guilty, but Abraham Redington’s cold attitude instantly turned her feelings into a fit of pique.
If he’s ignoring her, then so be it, she didn’t want to placate him anyway.
Molly Wellington turned off the cell phone screen and put it in her bag.
Though she said she wouldn’t placate Abraham, in reality, she couldn’t bear to turn off her phone; she put it in a pocket close to her, so she could hear it if it vibrated or rang.
"Underclassman, you’re quite the big shot today..." Just then, Shannon came back from the crowd with a grin and pulled Molly Wellington over.
She nudged Molly Wellington into the crowd, whispering happily in her ear, "I heard you were joining the dinner, and our business school’s heartthrob, Lincoln Harrison, uncharacteristically agreed to join us too. Since I’ve known Lincoln, it’s the first time I’ve heard of him wanting to attend such a dinner, you know."
Lincoln Harrison was quite famous at H University and was even called the heartthrob of the business school.
But since Molly Wellington wasn’t often at school and only focused on classes when she was, she wasn’t interested in other guys or gossip, and thus knew nothing about Lincoln Harrison.
Actually, this heartthrob, one year senior to her, was genuinely exceptional.
Not only were his grades great and his abilities outstanding, but he was also particularly sunny and handsome.
Moreover, unlike other good-looking guys who basked in their looks to flirt around, this heartthrob from the Finance Department had never dated or flirted, despite receiving confessions from girls almost daily since his freshman year.
Besides focusing on his studies, he loved playing basketball and was a main player in the basketball club.
Wouldn’t someone so handsome, capable, and aloof usually be very distant?

Lincoln Harrison was cheerful and friendly to everyone, but not overly enthusiastic.
He gave off the impression of being really nice, yet maintaining a slight distance, never making people feel overly familiar, which was the perfect distance for friendship.
