Chapter 413 - 343: Where Did the Title Go?
’She found out from the livestream?’
’Does this livestream actually exist?’
The man looked at the drone again, but he couldn’t see anything.
’None of us can see it, but she’s the only one who can?’
’What the hell is this thing!’
Seeing the man’s silence, Wen Ying continued, "Your girlfriend cheated on you, right? And with your boss. For the first time in your life, you hired someone to beat up your boss in secret, and then you quit."
The others looked at the man she was talking about. One glance at his expression told them everything.
"Don’t worry, your parents aren’t watching the livestream, so they don’t know your girlfriend cheated on you. But," Wen Ying’s tone shifted, "your girlfriend and your former boss are watching the livestream from his office right now."
The man’s expression changed again.
[What kind of plot twist is this? I thought a leopard can’t change its spots. Can getting cheated on really change someone’s fundamental nature?]
[Any guy would snap in that situation, right? And now the whole stream knows he hired someone to beat up his boss. What’s he going to do when he gets out?]
[He’s been running wild in the mist, acting like a tyrant’s lackey. How can someone like that be any good? We can’t feel sorry for him just because he was the victim in the cheating scandal!]
"Your girlfriend asked me to tell you that it’s over between you two. She’s already put the things you gave her back at your place and told you not to contact her anymore."
"Your former boss asked me to tell you that he won’t stoop to your level. After all, you’re fighting for the country’s honor right now. He said as long as you make it out, he’ll let bygones be bygones."
The man laughed.
"Let bygones be bygones? Does he think I’d believe him? Do I need to rely on his pity to survive? I’m someone useful to the country now. He’s just a worthless piece of trash! And Lisa, I won’t let you off the hook! Since you two love being together so much, then you can be together forever."
The man fell silent after speaking.
But the atmosphere had clearly changed.
Smith looked at him. "Even if what this Flower Country woman says is true, you don’t need to be so down! Once you get out of here, you’ll be a national hero. You can have anything you want. Why let a woman and a scumbag get to you?"
Wen Ying turned to him. "Smith, do you know where your son is right now?"
Smith, who was comforting the man, heard Wen Ying’s words and his gaze turned ice-cold. "You thought you hid him well? But did you know? He’s already been taken away, just as you feared."
"I don’t know what you’re talking about. I don’t have a son. I only have a daughter."
Smith’s mental fortitude was exceptionally strong.
"Oh, is that so? Then what about the one you created in the mist with your own blood? He carries your bloodline, and you’re the last of your family line. You even gave him an ability you got from the mist! And that ability is—"
"Shut up! You Flower Country woman!" Smith’s expression was exceptionally grim, his threatening gaze fixed on Wen Ying.
An ordinary person would have been terrified by such a glare, but Doctor Wen was no ordinary person.
’Smith had no idea how this woman knew these things!’
’All he had to do was keep denying it!’
’But this woman from the Evil Flower Country even knew about the ability!’
’I absolutely cannot let her say it out loud!’
’If she does, I’ll be in terrible danger!’
"What’s wrong? Can’t you tell everyone?" Wen Ying asked innocently.
The men with Smith were naturally curious as well, but they didn’t dare to ask.
They could only express their curiosity with their eyes.
They, too, wanted to know what was going on.
’What ability?’
’An ability was actually brought out, and it’s a secret?’
’If it were used in the real world, that would be terrifying, wouldn’t it?’
His men understood this, so how could Smith not? At that moment, a cold, sinister aura radiated from him.
"I thought everyone already knew. You mean you didn’t?"
Wen Ying said this with an innocent look in her eyes, then continued, "Then I suppose the superior who’s in charge of your mission into the mist doesn’t know either, right?"
"Flower Country woman, you say one more word of nonsense and I’ll kill you right now! I don’t care if you’re on a livestream!"
"Are you threatening me?" Wen Ying looked at the foreign man, unfazed. "Don’t you know that threats are the last thing a woman wants to hear? Or perhaps you don’t want to know who took your son?"
It wasn’t just the people watching the livestream who were curious. The people in Smith’s home country, including the superior in charge of his mission, were naturally watching this scene as well.
