Jiang Bai pushed the door open and entered.

The room wasn’t large, and the furnishings were simple.

A row of filing cabinets stood against the wall, and in the center was a wide, solid wood desk.

Behind the desk, a beautiful woman who appeared to be in her thirties was hunched over, reviewing documents.

She wore the light gray uniform of a Spirit Academy teacher; the style was simple and the cut was well-tailored, accentuating her curvaceous figure.

Her long hair was pulled back into a neat bun, revealing a smooth forehead and a lovely face.

A pair of gold-rimmed glasses rested on the bridge of her nose, and the eyes behind the lenses were focused and sharp, carrying an intellectual and capable air.

Hearing the door open, she looked up, her gaze falling on Jiang Bai through the lenses with a business-like scrutiny.

Jiang Bai stepped forward and handed over the sealed envelope the Knight Captain had given him with both hands, his tone polite.

"Hello, Teacher. I’m here to handle my enrollment."

The female teacher took the envelope, skillfully broke the wax seal, and pulled out the documents inside.

The document was only one page long, and its content was concise.

Name, age, Spirit, Innate Soul Power Rank, recommender, and the special approval seal of the Supreme Pontiff Palace.

When she saw the lines "Spirit is Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda" and "Innate Soul Power Rank 9," her fingertips flipping through the file paused almost imperceptibly.

She looked up, her gaze falling on Jiang Bai once more. This time, her scrutiny was significantly more thorough, ranging from his coarse cloth clothes—which looked out of place in the academy—to his calm and clear eyes.

A wild Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda?

The thought flashed through her mind, and a flicker of surprise crossed her eyes, but it was quickly suppressed by her professional composure.

Having taught at Spirit Academy for many years, she had seen plenty of strange Spirits and backgrounds, but a Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda wandering outside was indeed rare.

However, the Supreme Pontiff Palace seal on the document couldn’t be faked.

This meant that the child before her was an object of special attention from the higher-ups.

The female teacher composed herself, a professional smile appearing on her face. Her voice was cool yet not lacking in warmth: "Jiang Bai, right? Wait a moment..."

She opened a drawer, took out a blank student registration form, and began to fill it out quickly.

Name, age, place of origin, Spirit information...

After finishing, she took a small identity badge from another drawer, wrote the name "Jiang Bai" on it, along with the number "A-201."

Finally, she handed the identity badge and a handwritten slip to Jiang Bai.

"Keep this safe. This is your student identity badge; you need to wear it at all times within the academy. This slip has your dormitory and class information."

The female teacher gave her instructions at a steady pace.

"Classes officially begin in three days. These three days are for registration and orientation. You can familiarize yourself with the campus environment and go to the Logistics Department to collect your school uniform and basic living supplies. It’s in the red building behind the Administration Building."

Jiang Bai took the identity badge and the slip.

The identity badge felt slightly cool in his hand, and the craftsmanship was exquisite.

On the slip, written in elegant handwriting, was:

Dormitory: District A, Building 2, Room 201

Class: Elementary Department, Class A

Logistics Department Location: First floor of the red brick building behind the Administration Building

The information was concise and clear.

"Thank you, Teacher."

Jiang Bai thanked her, then remembered a practical question and asked, "Teacher, do I need to pay tuition?"

The female teacher looked up at him, seemingly a bit surprised by his question, but her tone remained calm: "No. The academy’s tuition and accommodation fees are completely waived."

The benefits are this good?

"I understand. Thank you, Teacher."

Jiang Bai thanked her again, bowed slightly, then exited the room and gently closed the door.

Leaving the Administration Building, Jiang Bai followed the instructions on the slip, crossed a central plaza planted with evergreen trees, and walked toward the dormitory area.

Spirit Academy covered a vast area and was divided into several sections, such as the teaching area, training area, living area, and logistics area.

The living area was further divided into three districts—A, B, and C—based on the students’ age and Aptitude.

District A had the best conditions and was usually assigned to students with outstanding talent or special backgrounds; there were fewer residents per room, and the facilities were more complete.

Building 2 of District A was a small three-story building with light beige paint on the exterior walls, looking clean and tidy.

In front of the building was a small patch of greenery planted with low shrubs and flowers.

Room 201 was at the end of the second-floor corridor.

Jiang Bai opened the door.

Pushing the door open and entering, the dormitory was more spacious and bright than Jiang Bai had expected.

The room was rectangular, about thirty square meters.

Three single wooden beds were placed against the walls on each side, their frames sturdy and covered with brand-new palm mattresses.

Each bed was equipped with a bedside table and a wardrobe built into the wall.

At the end of the room was a row of windows with excellent lighting, and beneath the windowsill was a long desk that could be used by several people at once.

The floor was covered with dark wood flooring, cleaned until it was spotless.

"A six-person dorm... the conditions are much better than I imagined."

Jiang Bai looked around, feeling quite satisfied.

Compared to that small wooden hut in Niuma Village, this place was luxurious.

More importantly, the dormitory was currently empty. The other five beds were all vacant.

"It seems I’m the first to arrive?"

Jiang Bai raised an eyebrow, a small sense of secret joy bubbling up in his heart.

The first to arrive could choose their bed first and have time to adapt to the environment.

He chose a bed on the right side near the window.

This position had good light, was well-ventilated, and was relatively quiet.

He took the bedding out of his bracelet and laid it out, hung a few changes of clothes in the wardrobe, and placed his toiletries on the bedside table.

Having finished this, Jiang Bai sat on the edge of the bed, planning to rest for a bit before going to the Logistics Department to collect his school uniform and supplies.

However, the tranquility of having the "dormitory all to himself" did not last long.

About an hour later, the dormitory door was pushed open again.

Two boys about the same age as Jiang Bai walked in.

In the lead was a red-haired boy with rare dark red pupils, sharp features, and a lively, extroverted air about him.

He wore a set of high-quality dark blue casual clothes and carried a bulging rucksack, looking around curiously after entering.

Following closely behind was a boy with short silver-white hair. His hair was neat and smooth, his skin was fair, and his features were as delicate as a porcelain doll.

He also carried luggage and was dressed simply but with sophisticated craftsmanship, moving silently.

Seeing Jiang Bai already sitting on the edge of the bed, both were stunned for a moment, clearly not expecting anyone to have arrived before them.

The red-haired boy was the first to react, a bright smile immediately spreading across his face as he greeted him enthusiastically.

"Hello! I’m Yan, Yan as in flame! Are you a new student too?"

The silver-haired boy was concise, only uttering four words: "Hello, Xie Yue."

His voice was calm, revealing little emotion.

So it’s the simp and the NPC...

Jiang Bai remained outwardly unfazed, stood up, nodded to the two of them, and said in a peaceful tone: "Hello, I’m Jiang Bai."

As Yan spoke, he naturally walked toward the empty bed on the left by the window and set down his luggage.

"Looks like we’ll be roommates from now on! Let’s look out for each other!"

Xie Yue chose the bed opposite Jiang Bai and silently began to organize his things.

The three of them each made their beds, and for a while, the only sounds in the dormitory were the friction of fabric and the placing of items.

Yan clearly wasn’t the type who could stand silence; he soon found a topic, trying to break the quiet.

After tidying his bed, he turned back to his two new roommates and asked excitedly.

"By the way, what are your Spirits? I mean, since we were assigned to District A, our Spirits shouldn’t be bad, right? My Spirit is the Flame Lord!"

As he spoke, a hint of pride appeared on his face.

Xie Yue didn’t even look up as he continued organizing his bed, replying flatly: "Moonblade."

When it was Jiang Bai’s turn, he said in a normal tone: "Mine is the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda."

"Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda?!"
