After another explanation, Mengyun Wulei finally hurried away.

Ye Wushuang stood there for a moment, watching her chaotic footsteps. He muttered to himself, ’Did I really need to explain it that many times?’

Watching the two of them leave, Ye Wushuang fell into contemplation. He was rather curious about the Slaying Monarch Ancestor’s inheritance.

’I might as well go take a look. If the Slaying Monarch Ancestor truly had some ulterior motive, he would have acted long ago. There’s no need to go through all this trouble.’

After a moment’s hesitation, Ye Wushuang followed them.

Led by the Slaying Monarch Ancestor, Ye Wushuang left the main hall and arrived in a mysterious valley.

The fragrance of flowers filled the valley, which bloomed in a riot of brilliant colors. The Spiritual Qi here was dense and vibrant.

A Golden-Winged Roc Phenomenon roamed the sky above, its brilliant golden light making for a magnificent sight.

"Ancestor, where is this?"

Mengyun Wulei asked as she surveyed the valley.

The Slaying Monarch Ancestor simply smiled without explaining. He led the two to the center of the valley, into a cluster of flowers.

The flowers were a dazzling array of colors. In the center of the cluster was a small pool filled with a golden liquid that pulsed with powerful energy.

Ye Wushuang’s eyes narrowed, his heart racing in shock. The small pool was filled entirely with Golden-Winged Roc True Blood.

This was the real True Blood.

Just as he thought, the Slaying Monarch Ancestor spoke up. "This pool is infused with some Golden-Winged Roc True Blood, which I obtained from the Golden Roc long ago. It will be of some help to your speed."

"Ancestor!" Mengyun Wulei cried out, but before she could say more, the Slaying Monarch Ancestor silenced her with a wave of his hand.

"My time is short. Listen to what I have to say first."

The Slaying Monarch Ancestor gestured to them both.

At his words, the two fell silent and listened.

The Slaying Monarch Ancestor began, "Years ago, I happened to adopt the Golden Roc—what you call the Golden-Winged Roc. He was actually the lost Young Clan Leader of the Golden-Winged Roc clan."

"I adopted and raised him, and from him, I learned the Mysteries of Speed and the Mysteries of Space. I used this knowledge to create the Saint-Slaying Technique."

"Later, when I went to assassinate a Saint, I happened to encounter members of the Golden-Winged Roc clan, and they took him back with them."

"However, to repay me for raising him, the Golden Roc gave me three drops of his Lifebound Essence Blood. I have since used two drops, leaving one."

"This drop of Essence Blood is unlike ordinary True Blood. It contains a terrifying amount of energy, so I infused it into this Spiritual Pool. In a moment, you two will be able to absorb it."

As the Slaying Monarch Ancestor recounted the past, Ye Wushuang recalled what he knew about True Spirit Essence Blood. It was the very essence of a True Spirit’s power, far beyond what ordinary True Blood could compare to.

The Slaying Monarch Ancestor continued, "Kid, I know you didn’t come here for an ordinary reason. I don’t know if I can help you, but in addition to the Golden-Winged Roc True Blood, I have also sealed forty-nine Earth Spirit Veins within this valley. I obtained them while roaming the starry skies, and I will give them to you."

"Earth Spirit Veins only exist on the Relic Continents that float through the starry sky," the Slaying Monarch Ancestor explained. "Thank you, Ancestor," Mengyun Wulei said.

At her words, the Slaying Monarch Ancestor nodded, his figure beginning to dissipate. "The Saint-Piercing Technique and the Earth Spirit Veins are sealed by me within this valley," he added. "If you wish to obtain them, you must completely absorb this pool of Golden-Winged Roc True Blood, which has been infused with Yin Yang Flowers. Only without the suppressive energy from this pool will the Saint-Piercing Technique and the Earth Spirit Veins manifest."

"Remember, this pool contains a peculiar energy. If only one of you absorbs it, you will die. You must absorb it together until it is all gone. When the inheritances appear, you must burn the two halves of the map to reveal a void gate. Then, you will open it with the four keys. You must remember this..."

With that last sentence, the Slaying Monarch Ancestor’s figure dissipated completely.

Seeing this, Mengyun Wulei’s eyes welled up, and her expression turned sorrowful.

Ye Wushuang remained silent for a long time before his gaze fell upon the golden liquid. He didn’t understand why the Slaying Monarch Ancestor had made such arrangements.

However, neither of them intended to disobey his final wishes. After exchanging a look, they both stepped into the small pool. Only by completely absorbing the Golden-Winged Roc True Blood could Ye Wushuang obtain the Earth Spirit Veins and Mengyun Wulei the Saint-Piercing Technique.

The pool was quite small, barely large enough to accommodate the two of them.

As they entered, their eyes met, and the situation felt a bit awkward.
