The Saracen soldiers hiding in the rampart, along with the fire pots in their hands, and the stone piles, all were reduced to ashes in the blaze.

A city gate that at least required several siege hammers and hundreds of soldiers to grind through was so easily set aflame.

The three-headed Demon Dragon’s six eyes flickered with a cruel gleam; the thrill of this destruction truly enthralled it. Its gigantic fanged mouth opened, and once again began to brew a fresh breath of Dragon Flame.

"That’s enough, Mr. Ladon."

A soft voice sounded behind the Demon Dragon’s neck; though it sounded gentle, Ladon involuntarily shivered.

Because the longsword imbued with great Spirituality was already resting against its weakest neck scale.

Behind it, the Candle Knight, wearing a Fallow Deer Hood, softly spoke: "Enough is enough, don’t forget the Captain’s command. Your goal is limited to destroying this gate and extinguishing the still-burning Dragon Flame."

The Demon Dragon’s fierce nature was overwhelming. To command it in battle as if it were part of one’s own body required Losa’s personal guidance; else, it would certainly cause trouble.

When Losa was Constantine XI, he had seen Ladon’s fierce nature unfurled, unable to distinguish between foe and ally, warrior and civilian.

It was not human and naturally wouldn’t be troubled by moral questions.

Burning down a town was as trivial to it as humans trampling an anthill.

"Alright, we should head back now."

The Cursed Dragon Head was the most stable; they all knew what terrifying power resided within this seemingly frail Female Knight, and the Cursed Dragon Head knew more than its other two brothers that in Losa’s mind, Viviana’s status was surely higher than its own.

"Let’s just go!"

"I can’t be bothered to exert this effort any longer."

The Fire Dragon Head grumbled unwillingly and turned to fly away.

Viviana smoothly withdrew the longsword in her hand: "Apologies for the offense."

...

The Holmes City Gate, fiercely burning, soon became nothing but a pile of ashes.

The Crusader soldiers, arrayed below and preparing to attack, looked somewhat dazed; they momentarily forgot even the orders they received.

Behind them, the light infantry with crossbows hid in the trenches dug during the previous siege, behind shields, mouths agape; this gate, which had previously caused them vast casualties and still stood tall despite the bombardment by three giant catapults, was so easily destroyed.

If it wanted to, wouldn’t it be just as easy for it to turn the entire city into a sea of flames?

"Christ above, how does His Majesty Losa manage to tame such a terrifying beast?"

Behind, the three leaders each leading a cavalry unit, stationed in a supervisory position, silently observed the battlefield under various flags.

Raymond’s position had already been supplanted by the legitimate King of Jerusalem, now he could only stand behind.

Duke Leopold stood shoulder to shoulder with him, smiling as he said: "Not underestimating His Majesty, after taking over Northern military affairs, the Holmes City Gate that troubled us for so long was easily flattened, I must say, fighting alongside you really puts the mind at ease."

Feeling the implicit mockery in Leopold’s gaze, Raymond felt a pang of frustration.

He hadn’t been without attempts at extraordinary means; he himself had recruited several Casters, and both Philip and Richard had several Casters at their beck and call, but the Saracens had them too!

Yet these Saracen Casters clearly bully the weak and fear the strong, and encountering Losa’s tough character, they hadn’t dared to appear, making him seem so inept.

Losa ignored the two and slowly raised the "Holy Spear" in his hand, pointing forward.

The trumpeter behind, always watching the situation, immediately understood.

With the sound of the battle horn.

The Crusaders arrayed in front all drew their longswords, picked up warhammers, and roared as they charged the city gate.

"Saint George protect us!"

"In the name of God."

...

Richard, also observing the battlefield, sighed lightly.

He was a rebellious person, even unwilling to bow to his own father, not to mention lowering his head to another foreign monarch who, in his eyes, was far inferior to him in both birth and status.

But he was also one who admired power; the power in Losa’s possession was undeniably what he envied the most.

"Such frightening power, Martha, do you think the Demon Dragon tamed by Losa is stronger compared to the Great Red Dragon we discovered in Wales?"

Richard had discovered the remains of a Giant Dragon in Albion and had collected some scattered scales as souvenirs; unfortunately, the remains were too old, long since lost extraordinary power.

Martha frowned and said: "Your Majesty, the strength of a Giant Dragon is most directly displayed by its size, obviously, the Red Dragon’s remains in Wales if alive would be stronger."

Richard gave a bitter laugh: "From so far away, how can I truly see how big it is."

Martha said seriously: "Anyway, it’s a power we cannot confront, Your Majesty, I have to say, my view of you has shifted somewhat."

"What?"

"I mean the matter of bowing to His Majesty Losa, contending with such a person isn’t wise."

Richard’s face turned dark.

"Alright, knowing we’d face today, I might have risked losing ten years and drawn the Sword in the Stone to deal with those Saracen Casters."

Fully armed Crusaders, crossing the ruins, charged into the city.

The Holmes Governor Faruksha immediately gathered his elites, arrayed behind the city gate.

"Henry,"

The nobleman called by name appeared somewhat flustered,

he was a member of the Royal Knight Order, merely playing a marginal role, in bygone times

In this era, at a glance, ten Richards, eight Henrys, how is one to remember?
