Dream Life

Episode XI: Adventurer Guild Headquarters

We had lunch at the Periclitle Inn, the "Rough Eagle's Nest” pavilion, and then we ate a little time because of my chatter, but it's not even 3: 00 yet.

Guided by Guy, I decided to roll out to the city of Periclitle.

Guy says, "Where do we go to see it? He asked," I want to see the Adventurer Alliance headquarters. "

Guy says, "It's not such an interesting place," but he starts walking ahead of us.

The total headquarters of the Adventurer Guild is in the heart of the city of Periclitle.

Leaving the inn, we head back to the boulevard that runs north and south and walk north.

On the south side of the city, there were many adventure-style people with weapons, backpacks (backpacks) on the leather armor they used, and cloaks that looked sturdy on their shoulders, but as they headed north, more merchant-style people dressed like tunics.

Most of the buildings in the city of Periclitle are wooden. Sometimes the city centre is just the heart of a big city, with many wooden buildings but fine ones.

In the meantime, a three-story stone splendid building came into view. And in front of the splendid doors of both openings stand two guards wearing plate armor.

"This is the headquarters of the Alliance. For once, we should have been able to make a tour, but I'll check."

That's what Guy said, he went to check with the guard at the sentry post.

Guy nods to the guard and immediately returns and reports, "They're fine," he says.

As I heard later, the General Headquarters is not open to the public and it is difficult to get inside without registering for the Adventurer Guild. This time in the name of the Rockhart family, a cavalier class, they were allowed to enter.

Show the guard the orb and go inside the building.

Once inside, a wide hall with a high ceiling blown out to the second floor widens in front of you. Unlike the Guild Branch in Kilnarek, there was no counter-shaped reception and officials stood in places like bureaux or information offices in hospitals.

The wide hall had few people, and the hustle and bustle outside was as idle inside as a lie.

(You don't have a reception counter. With that said, the general headquarters should have been both the administrative offices of Periclitle, so it feels closer to the bureau in one way or another. Yes, it's close to feeling like a prefectural government or a city hall in a city designated by Cabinet Order. I feel that the attachment difficulty is somewhat similar... Maybe that's what I think because the bureau doesn't have any good memories...)

I remember all the bureaux I went to during my time as a salarier.

"I'm sure you were just managing the operations of each branch here. And then there's the city's administrative relations..."

Guy answers discipline to a grunt similar to my own.

"Yes, we should have also been analyzing the information gathered from each branch"

Exactly. The general tourist can't move on from the hall on the ground floor, and when he circles around, he goes straight out.

"That certainly wasn't an interesting place. Where does Sharon want to go look?

I talk to Sharon, but I just shook my head sideways and there was no specific answer.

She seems to be overwhelmed by her first big city in her life.

"Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah bla

Guy nodded at my suggestion, remembering that I was interested in weapons, and said, "Well, shall we even go see an arms dealer? I've said."

I smile and nod, "Sounds interesting."

(Because the only blacksmith was Beltram. I'm a Dwarf blacksmith, so it's a fantasy classic in a way, but there's still something heartwarming about the city of adventurers for RPG lovers...)

Entering the Southern District, you will see more dusty adventurers returning from the woods.

Some of them looked like bloody adventurers walking with their buddies' shoulders.

I said to Liddy, "Don't you have to hang the healing magic? I hear," but she shakes her neck small and sideways.

"There's a healer's treatment center nearby, so it's okay."

She answers that without much interest, but I can't take my eyes off the look of an adventurer walking in pain.

"But with that injury, isn't it hard to walk? It's better if it's a first aid..."

"Whatever it is in the woods, it's not a good idea to hang the healing magic in the city for free. Because it involves the life of a healer. Besides, injuries are self-inflicted. If you can't keep a healer with you, you should try not to get hurt..."

On the side Guy is nodding to Liddy's opinion. And even more of her story continued.

"If you get hurt, you'll be annoyed by the party members. Sometimes if you make one mistake, you'll be wiped out."

What she's trying to say is that it's a one-man adventurer making a request not to get hurt, and if you're going to take a dangerous request, you should bring a healer into your company. If an injured person comes out, it will only be difficult to accomplish the request, or it will scatter the smell of blood in a dangerous forest, which increases the danger even further.

In case of severe injury, I don't even have the option of abandoning it, but I usually don't have to be a party member to take the ruthless choice of abandoning it.

"But what if something sudden happens? For example, there was a powerful demon that wasn't supposed to be there?

Guy answers that question before Liddy answers.

"That rarely happens. Normally, there must always be some kind of sign, so as long as we're sure of collecting information, unforeseen things rarely happen. Even if we don't have information about powerful demons, we should be able to prevent them if we pay attention to our surroundings."

(Riddy or Guy, that's surprisingly harsh. Sure, if there's an injured man out there, it's about everyone's life, but the guy named Unforeseeable is Unforeseeable, so Unforeseeable... well, if you're a master of Sign Detection like Guy, you can also notice and escape before the demon arrives...)

Drop off the injured adventurers and go further into the city.

I've been thinking about my current interactions.

(I can understand what Liddy and Guy have to say. But if you ask yourself if you can make that calm decision, I'm not sure. You'll be obsessed with hunting demons and your perimeter alert will be neglected, and if you go into the woods and nothing happens, you may fail to gather information. Maybe they wanted to tell me about it...)

Many weapons stores, armor stores and tool stores connect to the east side of the South End.

Even weapon stores are increasingly divided into single-handed sword specialties, spear specialties, and it's fun just to look at the signs.

"This is where we specialize in swords. I've been here a long time, but if the shopkeeper hadn't replaced me, he'd have been a pretty good craftsman."

The weapons store, which Guy points to, is a small, wooden two-story workshop with a large chimney on the roof that is erupting black smoke.

The sword-imagined sign said "Guisel Hale's shop”.

There is nothing left outside the store and only the sound of a hammer can be heard from the open window.

Sometimes I was chilling, I was somewhat awkward, but Guy walked into the store about behind it because he was going in with Stasta.

The sound of a bell called Karan Karan rings when the door is opened, and the sound of a hammer breaks with it.

Looking around the store, there were about ten different swords, including long swords, short swords and two-handed swords.

From the back of the store, a bearded dwarf artisan appears as a docile.

Dwarf's age is hard to tell, but what I saw was a blacksmith in the village of Rasmore, an artisan as veteran as Beltram.

The dwarf looks at us and gives us a surprising look at the combination of a foursome with two children.

"You're here to buy it? Or take care of it?

"Can I see it? I don't plan to buy it at the moment."

When Guy answers that, he's nodding unexpectedly without saying anything.

(I thought they would tell you to go home for chilling... you respond unexpectedly and calmly. Or maybe you think we're looking around a few houses and comparing)

From the sword Guy keeps, he takes out a single bastard sword and says, "Why don't you take a look at Master Zach, too?" and have handed that sword.

I have a bastard sword that Beltram hit me with, so I don't really understand Guy's intentions.

But when I took the sword, I somehow understood his intentions.

Geiselhale also makes a pretty well-balanced sword because of Dwarf's skilled craftsman. However, the sword placed here was not a single item, but the equivalent of a mass produced product.

(Good balance, but the politeness of the making is completely different from Beltram's. I guess Guy wanted to tell you that the sword I have is quite a business. Plus, the swords in the Lockhart family (of which) are all quite the business, so I guess I wanted you to know that this sword is a normal thing...)

"How much is this?

Geiselhale raised one eyebrow to my whine, "Is that what you can use? I've said."

It does sound like a skinny boy with only about a hundred and fifty cm tall would want a bastard sword used by an adult simply because he looks good. But there's a bastard sword in my back that Beltram hit me with. I don't understand the meaning of his words because he should be seeing it too.

(Maybe you think you have it with decorations. that the child you want to stretch out can't even use it, but you just can't have it)

I said, "Of course you can use it.," he replied, "Shake it," he said Bosoli.

I don't even like being in trouble here, so I look at Guy, but he nods with a smile on his face.

(You seem to have some thoughts about Guy. Something you should tell me first... okay. I didn't say anything when I was Byron, either.)

Because it's narrow in the store, he said, "Can I swing it outside?," Guiselhale nodded small.

I wasn't going to be a spectator just facing the street, so I turned to the back of the store, unloaded my stuff and set up my sword.

(That's a little heavier than the Beltram stuff. One hand is a little tight, but both hands are going to work it out)

At first, I slowly view the mould I learned from my grandfather. A few times, I've gotten used to the weight somehow where I shook it, so I go up to my usual speed and keep shaking it for about a minute.

I finished the bare gesture and said, "About this much, is there a problem?," he mutters, shaking his head feeling that GeiselHale was difficult to understand.

I turned my gaze to Guy and said, "What do you mean?" Move only your mouth without speaking up.

Guy nodded at it with a pranky look,

"I have tried the Son of my Lord. Do you mind if I say something? Mr. Geezel?"

Guy and Geiselhale still seemed familiar back in the day.

"Your Lord's Son means the Lockhart family... I see. By the way, Guy. What does it look like when you're not going to buy it?

"In the future, when Master Zacharias comes here, we'll see. I thought you'd be able to take care of Mr. Beltram's sword in Lasmore Village and introduce me to someone I know in Doctus."

Guy knows my sword is something special and seems to have paid attention to the maintenance ahead.

"I'm Zacharias Lockhart. Call me Zach."

When I put my right hand out, Geiselhale took my right hand with a strange face.

"It's Guisel Hale. If it's a hassle, Geezel is fine. By the way, how old are you?

When he replied that I was ten years old, he shook his neck sideways and was hardened to say, "If I were ten..."

I am even more surprised to see the sword of Beltram placed with my luggage.

"This guy's a half-breed arm, he can't even take care of it. You're the guy who seems to be able to handle this in Doctus... about Zergius. I'll write you a reference later."

He then asked me about my bastard sword by digging for roots and leaves, but at the end of the day he said, "If you're going to be based in Periclitle (here), show your face to me".

By the way, the value of Beltram's sword, but in Geiserhael's view, 30,000 C (krona) = 30 million yen would not be dropped because it uses the finest steel and has a special way of beating it.

(10,000 C for the material alone. So I thought it was about double, but that's an awesome birthday present. That's impotent to say that includes a thank you to Scotch...)

I thanked Guy after I left the Guiselhale store.

"I wasn't thinking about taking care of it. I guess I could do with some arm, because I was bracketing the height. Thank you."

"Mr. Beltram is supposed to be in the village of Rasmore, which is crazy enough to be a first-rate blacksmith. Without your friendship with your predecessors - your grandfather Govan Lockhart - you would have set up your own workshop in Ars - the king's capital of the Kingdom of Kaum, the city of craftsmen with a large number of Dwarf blacksmiths. If it were to strike a sword with the finest steel, it would always be a first-rate object. Such swords cannot be handled by ordinary blacksmiths."

Besides my thoughts, I ate time at the Geiselhale store, so I went straight back to the "Nest of the Arid Eagle” pavilion.
