Dream Life

Episode IX: The Raswell Borderline Uncle

Tria Calendar, July 10, 2017, around 3 p.m.

Under the leadership of our brother Rodrick, we arrived safely at the castle of Uncle Raswell's border.

At the entrance to the main castle of the main building, two guards with axe spears (Halvard) stood and stopped the carriage by the car, who did what?

I don't know if I'm used to this hand interaction, but soon my brother was answering who or what of it.

"Sir Masaias Lockhart came to greet His Excellency the Governor of the North. I want to take it from you!

The soldiers also knew that their father would visit, seemed to be a formal who what, and soon the decree would run inside.

A few minutes later, a deacon or a housekeeper and a thinker appeared from inside the castle. The person is a man dressed in black like a swallow tail suit, with shorter gray hair caressed properly like an all-back. It doesn't feel like an old man even though he has gray hair, and at his age he seems to have plugged it into his fifties.

"I've been waiting for you. Sir Lockhart."

The man hangs a welcome word to his father as he offers his right hand. My father was also a friend of Old Knowledge, "Master Oldham seems to be a breath disaster and above all," he said with a smile back.

The man was called Ferdinand Oldham, a housekeeper who partitioned the Raswell family, as well as the head of the Oldham Baron family.

In this world, where political mechanisms are not in place even when it comes to housekeeping, he has great influence in politics as a civilian. With a comparable military and economic power to that of a small country, the Raswell Border Bo family can be considered the next most important figure after our Lord Hubert Raswell.

He is also an important figure comparable to the prime minister of that small country, but Oldham's physical waist was so soft that he only looked like a brilliant butler.

When my father introduced me, Oldham narrowed his eyes and gave me a soft grin,

"You're still young. As far as listening to the hall, I thought you had a cooler vibe...... no, this is rude"

Oldham's term for "Hall Master" refers to Borderline Uncle, and I didn't think my name was coming out of Borderline Uncle, and I said, "My lord told you my story?" I asked back.

And to my insolent words, "Yes. More often than not a year ago, I come back to you with polite words.

I was uncomfortable with the language.

I am the second son of the Knight's house and Oldham is the head of the Baron's house. Normally, I'm the one on one knee who should speak with His Excellency's honor. That is the more polite language I give to my father, Masaias.

(I don't know what thoughts you have, but the other guy is the baron. I can't even go in there...)

As for the treatment of the bandit's head, Maddock, his brother said, "Keep this man in shape. Without a formal order from His Excellency the Governor, no one should be extradited to come," he had ordered his men's knights.

When we leave the horses with the servants, we follow Oldham straight into the castle.

Guys, the Lockhart family squire and his brother's men are going to split up there because they're headed to another depot.

A small problem arose here.

Liddy and Beatrice are in position, but officially the Lockhart family escort. But my father introduced me to Oldham as my fiancée, which makes a slight mistake.

Liddy, Beatrice, Mel, Sharon and Dan also tried to make their way to the squire's desk, but Oldham stopped it and urged us to go with Lord Zacharias' fiancée because Miss Lydiane and Miss Beatrice are here.

Liddy and Beatrice tell him they won't, but Oldham won't give in in a soft but unspoken tone: "Because it's the life of the Hall to bring you Sir Lockhart's edge".

In the end, my father told them to accompany him, and Liddy whispered, "I didn't hear you look at me," and Beatrice was half relieved, "I look at the Governor of the Empire..."

(You're going to complain a lot later. And I wonder what the intent is?

With that in mind, I walk down the hall.

Exactly the only thing about the castle inhabited by the Empire's heavy ministers, the corridors are made of marble-like white Asian stone and are laid with vermilion carpets. Along the walls are decorated with various sculptures and paintings, just like the "royal palace".

Following Oldham, he walked in the castle for about five minutes and arrived in front of a lavish door. A soldier with full body armor with a spear also stood there and said to us, "I'm sorry, but I can't bring in any kind of weapon" and told me to take off my weapon.

When he hands over his weapon, Oldham says, "Then come here with your wife and children," and leads his mother and Theo to the room where they seem to refrain. When Oldham returned, he ordered the soldiers to open the door.

Behind the door seemed to be the office of the borderline uncle, with heavily made desks and bookcases. And as we followed Oldham inside, a magnificent, borderline male and two escort-like martial arts officers, as well as a mid-teenage girl dressed in a light pink dress, were waiting for us.

My father's on one knee, and we imitate it, and we drool our heads.

"Fine, only relatives will meet this time."

When Uncle Borderline says so in a tense voice, my father raises his head quietly. My father just tried to say something, and Uncle Borderline hung up his apology first.

"Raids on the outskirts of Low Cliff...... sorry. That would be caused by Non and Rosalie..."

My father tried to raise his doubts, "My lord and my lady's..." Uncle Borderline controls it by nodding and continues to talk again.

"Constance is the only one who tries to harm you if you do so. Because of what Noon said about being inadvertent..."

Viscount Constance Tiesburn is the real brother of Uncle Raswell Borderline.

Rosalie that was beside him. Rosalind Raswell apologizes in tears.

"No, sir Lockhart's life would not have been targeted if I had not said something like that. I'm so... I'm so sorry..."

At the end of the day he utters words of apology in a vanishing voice, bowing his head even louder. If you look closely, your eyes are red and congested, and you seem to have been crying for quite some time.

Borderline uncle holds his beloved daughter's shoulder,

"Let me explain from Non. About a year ago, yes, when Sir Zacharias' name began to appear in the world..."

I'm stunned that all of a sudden my name came up.

(Why does my name come up here? Speaking of a year ago... when countries have offered me the terms of a servant...)

"... Non intended to welcome Sir Zacharias as my grandson, Francis' hindsight, and my ally. He also told those around him... that if he would serve my Raswell family, he could give me half the territory..."

Speaking of half of the Raswell Borderline Berg, it becomes more than the Count of the Empire's territory. The other great powers, the kingdoms of Kaum and Lax, are comparable to the Duke's territory.

I couldn't hide the upset.

(I'm not listening, that's what I'm talking about! I did hear a voice from Uncle Borderline. We should have talked about taking it as a knight and working for the emperor so that he could be awarded the title...)

Uncle Borderline answered the question as if he had heard my heart.

"Though my territory, I cannot give it to His Majesty the Emperor without his leave. Well, like suddenly giving away to fourteen or five boys with no track record. But that's all Sir Zacharias deserves. No, he thinks it's worth more than that. Of course, even now..."

I almost raised my voice that I was overrated, but I wasn't asked to speak, so I was forced to keep my mouth shut. In the meantime, the monologue of the borderline uncle continues.

"... this leaked to Constance... but I told him that Constance had no such facts, after Sir said no. He also seemed relieved that Noon had made a joke..."

That's where Rosalind starts talking.

"I was wrong. After Rodrick returned to his territory, Sir Zacharias accidentally told his uncle about what could be Francis' hindsight..."

This is what the story looks like.

Uncle Borderline admires me very much. And the matter was passed on to Viscount Constance Tiesburn.

That wasn't a problem, but Rosalind mistakenly assumed that I would enter Welburn on behalf of my brother Rodrick and be under Uncle Borderline's command.

And I told Tiesburn about it. In contrast, it was an explanation that Tiesburn overreacted and tried to get rid of us.

The reason she thought I would serve the Raswell family was because of some overlapping mistakes.

First, Borderline Uncle ordered Rosalind to go to the village of Rasmore in order to prevent his beloved daughter from getting involved in a dispute over the successor to the Raswell family.

She worried about her father, Uncle Borderline, and her nephew, Francis, and insisted that she would remain in Wellburn even after her marriage. At that time, Uncle Borderline convinced her that he had no problem because he was hitting the necessary hand.

So the first mistake arose in Rosalind.

I made the mistake that the necessary hand was for me, Zacharias Lockhart, to be under Uncle Borderline's command and to protect Francis from Viscount Tiesburn.

Uncle Borderline used to tell her that if I were Francis' hindsight, there would be no more problems, and she seemed to think it had come true.

It seems strange to expect so much from me, a mere fourteen or five boys, but due to the high praise of Uncle Borderline and my brother Rodrick told me, plus the fact that I sent circulars to countries through the Mage Guild, she mistakenly thought I was good as a politician.

Uncle Borderline also called me “the only one who can move a blacksmith's guild that won't move in gold or power," and "the few who can personally move Piers Worgman, the council chairman of the prestigious Mage's Guild as a cutter."

On the face of it, you're certainly right, and if Borderline Uncle, who has a proven track record of doing so as a politician, it's not surprising that Rosalind, who is a daughter and respects her father, believes it.

Second mistake, in that I thought I'd settle here on the occasion of their wedding. The reason was that I brought in Liddy's, or fiancées (...). For that reason, he seems to mistakenly assume that he will remain settled in Wellburn.

Uncle Borderline was also involved in this.

Uncle Borderline seemed to have gotten my information in quite some detail, not only Liddy and Beatrice, but also Mel, Sharon and Dan.

In other words, I also knew the two names that would be "Prince Harlem of All Directions (All Range Prince)" in the example.

And my fiancées (...) were also noted to accompany a letter from my father, Masaias.

Uncle Borderline said to Rosalind with a laugh, "Looks like we'll have four more sister-in-law."

Exactly referring to Dan, he didn't seem to say "one more brother-in-law," but he believed and didn't suspect that Liddy, Beatrice, Mel, and Sharon were my fiancées, and Rosalind also thought it would be to settle in to bring all his fiancées (...).

And it was around the middle of June that Rosalind found out about our company. And about half a month ago, that is, around the end of June, I stumbled upon Viscount Tiesburn in the castle.

At that time, Tiesburn said this and mocked him.

"I hear you're going to a despicable place. Leave it to me about my brother and Francis. Well, as a lady, there's a problem with you, but if you're in the country, there's nothing wrong with you. Ha ha!

She said she couldn't help but say, "Nothing's wrong with your father."

Associate Baron Gateskel, who had refrained behind Tiesburn, joined the conversation.

"Has Your Excellency been struck in any way? That's interesting."

Tiesburn said, "I don't have a hand to hit. I'm sure Rosalie's talking about getting it out of her mouth," she mocked further.

So blood went up on his head, and he said, "It's the brilliant talent under heaven who assists his father! If the young genius is Francis' hindsight, the Raswells are cheap!" I said.

At that time, Tiesburn said he was pretending to be calm, but shortly afterwards, he checked with Uncle Borderline to see who was coming to Welburn and realized I was there.

And the other cause of the mistake was the word "strike your hand”, which Uncle Borderline said.

Although the story changes slightly, Borderline uncle suspected that the rapid development of Viscount Tiesburn's territory was due to some irregularity. And they were releasing a secret detective into the Viscountry and making him investigate.

Uncle Borderline said "striking a hand" was uncovering injustice in Viscount Tiesburn's territory and curbing the Viscounts' movements.

The development of the Viscount Territory itself is to be welcomed, but the raw resources for its development were the problem.

Tiesburn was a typical aristocrat with a squandering habit, spending more money than his status as a Viscount. As a result, the Viscount always owed money from Wellburn and Aurelia merchants, and taxes were also considerably higher than on other lands.

Even if Tiesburn used his brilliant belly heart, Associate Baron Desmond Gateskel, to make reforms, it would take a lot of raw resources to make radical (drastic) reforms.

And reform often involves failure. The merchants should be worried that this failure will make it impossible to collect their debts. In other words, we will need a reform plan that will only convince those merchants. But I didn't see a reform plan like that at all.

Except in agriculture, in Viscount Tiesburn territory with no blind industry, and without such eye-catching policies, Borderline uncle doubted that the economy had grown rapidly.

But about half a month ago, at the worst possible time, I lost touch with that spy.

Uncle Borderline said, "It's a guess from here," and said no.

"Sure, Gateskell is an excellent man, but I can't shake a sleeve without him. In other words, Constance should have been funded by some unauthorized means. Immediately after capturing the unleashed snitch of Non, Sir Zacharias comes to be under Non's command. If you think that the cleaver Speaker Wargman is so brilliant that he will come to explore himself, if he is a short-circuited Constance, it is not strange to try to make everyone a deceased, including Lord Masaias..."

In other words, it was Borderline's idea that Tiesburn might have tried to wipe out the Lockhart family in order to prevent his own discovery of wrongdoing and subsequent leg loss.

There was something I honestly couldn't agree to.

The raid at that time is trying to abduct my mothers. This is an indisputable fact because the testimony of Maddock, the executor, has been taken.

If I were Viscount Tiesburn and my personal annihilation was the goal, there would be no halfway raids like that. They won't go after my personal murder and the kidnapping of my mothers, and they will ensure their own safety for the purpose of annihilating everyone.

When I was thinking about that, Uncle Borderline said, "Sir Zacharias sounds like a different idea. Let me have Sir's opinion," he said, asking for his opinion.

When I looked at my father and got his approval, I started looking at Uncle Borderline and talking to him.

"I have a few suspicions. It is of the utmost concern…"

I'm going to talk about trying to abduct my mothers during the raid, that my father was better targeted than I was, that I didn't have much information about us as magicians.

"... I mean, they think he targeted my father and mother more than I did in this raid riot."

Uncle Borderline nodded, meditating his eyes, "Sir's thoughts are" he asked.

"I don't know who the raiders are, but I was wondering if the aim was to assassinate my father and abduct my mother, and then I said I was going to use my mother's personality and set up some sort of ploy against my brother"

Uncle Borderline stays silent and doesn't open his mouth for a while.

"... then Sir thinks Constance is not the killer."

"No, it means you have too little information to judge. It is believed, however, that the status affecting the Northern Governor's Office, including His Highness Viscount Tiesburn, is more involved"

Borderline nodded small and urged him to make further remarks, "You still seem to have something to think about."

I prayed and started talking about my thoughts again.

"If Lord Tiesburn is the mastermind of this one, I don't understand the idea of Sir Gateskell, who is famous as a wise man. I don't think Lord Gateskel is going to adopt the kind of inferiority that His Excellency the Governor suspects."

Uncle Borderline nods, saying "um".

"Gateskell is certainly not competent... he can't imitate that he would risk being suspected by Nong... No, he's already suspected, so maybe he thought of putting some hand on this occasion..."

Uncle Borderline himself, he doesn't seem to know what to think about the lack of a fixed assessment of the gate skeleton.

"Are you saying there could be a third being? I see... it's certainly a quick count to decide Constance as the killer at this stage. Then Sir Zacharias. What kind of hand would Sir strike?

When I was convinced that Uncle Borderline had something to think about, he asked me how to open it. Compared to earlier, that look looks softer and more fun.

(I'm not one of Uncle Borderline's guys or anything... and you're really buying me stuff. Do not remove the name "Sir” from the second son of the knight's house. There's nothing lighter about the tone, but it's troublesome to be taken in like this...)

I've been thinking about that, but I'll give you my opinion immediately.

"The important thing is to identify the" enemy ”and not let the" enemy "take the lead. Hold on to the bandit's head Maddock when it comes to identification and he'll show himself. When it comes to not letting them take the lead, there is nothing like a measure because we have no knowledge of the Northern Governor's Office."

I didn't make any specific suggestions because I didn't know what the Northern Governor's office was capable of or how to relate to.

"You're not old enough and Sir is cautious. Fine. So what if we burn them out with the enemy? Ferdinand, depositing Maddock and his figure with Sir. And, of course, the boyette."

Uncle Borderline had received information from his brother and had immediately ordered the recall of Low Cliff's deputy, Boyette. Since the envoy is leaving early this morning, he is scheduled to arrive in Low Cliff by the end of the day to detain Boyette's figure.

By then Rosalind, who had leaked a whimper, had also regained only a little calm. I seem to understand from my conversation with Uncle Borderline that my inadvertent remarks are not the only starting point.

Later, after mother and brother Theophilus, sister Seraphine and Sophia were also called to introduce themselves and so on, a soothing conversation began between Uncle Borderline and the Lockhart family.

Borderline uncle seems to be a casual figure, and he gently calls out to the nervous Theos, "I wonder about Lord Govan's training," etc.

Theo stretched his spine and said, "Your uncle is rigorously trained, but he's working hard to be a fine knight!," the atmosphere of the place softened even more to its smile.

Uncle Borderline also speaks to Liddy and Beatrice, shaking topics such as her taming with me. Regardless of the intensely familiar Liddy, Beatrice's tension seems to be relieved.

About thirty minutes of bickering and I started to think it was time to leave the room, and it would make noise outside the office door.

The guard's "Please don't. Your Excellency is in talks with visitors," he said, "Are you going against me!" I can hear the fury leaking from across the heavy door.

Uncle Borderline and Baron Oldham looked “again”.
