Dream Life

Episode XXXI: Dwarf Festival: Part One

Tria history April 21, 2018.

A presentation of the martial artefacts made by Dagenhardt Grabsch and other blacksmiths from the Wellburn branch took place in the morning, and the Ulrich Drexler master coach and others gave praise for their brilliant work.

And the distribution of the Zack collection, which began this time, was also discussed, and the Wellburn branch won the right to buy 10% of the Zack collection that the Blacksmith Guild buys.

I toured the distribution of the Zach collection and got a slightly offensive vibe, but once it was decided, I became completely obsessed and began to exaggerate the liquor.

However, Ulrich had difficulty answering, stuffed by other branches wondering how they intended to decide on their allocation. In the end, in order to ensure fairness, an advance proposal was proposed whereby all branches would decide when to conduct the second skill assessment meeting again after they had completed their training.

I want to come to the village of Rasmore as soon as I have trouble answering, but if we do a skill assessment meeting, we will definitely get less credit for ourselves. Seems to have bothered the dilemma.

There are more than ten branches that were the main ones, and when about ten more blacksmiths are trained, there will be more than one hundred. If it were three people a month, the second would be about four years later, because it would take nearly three years to simply let it go round. Of course, I have plans, so I don't know if they're going to go as planned.

Branches other than Wellburn rebelled against this proposal. But when Ulrich half-threatened, "Then you can make more than the Dagenhardts," he reluctantly swallowed the proposal, realizing that their current skill might not allow them to receive the distribution itself.

However, as an alternative, it was decided to significantly increase the capacity for training in the manufacture of distillers and for “distiller courses”, and to this end it was decided to increase the number of non-Beltram and Meena instructors. In addition, the number of distillers will be increased so that distillers can produce distilled liquor in each branch at an early stage.

This will speed up the production of distilled liquor in each major city on an annual basis.

Clearing up all the problems, the sun was rising to Jomtien.

A fair amount of hunger and a variety of scents drifting through the venue stimulate appetite. In the tent set up at the venue, the ingredients from the countries brought in by the merchants had been cooked and were beginning to be sold.

The venue takes the form of a street booth serving food and a guild booth surrounding the central square, where tables and chairs are arranged so that they can be used as free space. Many visitors had already drummed their tongues with food and liquor in their hands.

This time around a hundred barrels of barley and wine were brought from the headquarters and branches of the Blacksmith Guild. I make a booth for every branch I bring in, and I behave to the visitors there.

Naturally, the liquor is cooled to the right temperature with the magic of the pseudo-perche effect along with Sharon. Of course, I didn't decide the temperature by myself, but after consulting with the Dwarf I brought in, I have decided, but I still drink about thirty different kinds, so I got a little drunk. Sometimes after this, the intoxication is cold due to the magic of detoxification.

Although this skill assessment meeting and the liquor quality review meeting will be held on the set, this one is labeled a "review meeting”, but I am not explicitly going to compete for the merits of branches or liquor.

Alcohol is a preference, with different preferences for each person, and is made to suit the climate and climate of the land. I have long been uncomfortable with the act of ranking that liquor.

There is no denying that it leads to promotional meaning and motivation of the maker, but when degrees pass, all the flavors that the public receives are harmful. Therefore, there is no clear ranking of gold and silver medals in "liquor" at this “review meeting". It should be a “festival” one way or another.

But it is true that if we do not rank, we lack exuberance. I wanted to cheer it up because it's a “festival” in the corner, and I thought about another hobby.

Distilled liquor, such as scotch or brandy, is not basically an in-food liquor that goes with a meal. On the other hand, the barley "beer" and the wine "wine" are often consumed as food and drink.

Some barley drinks taste better after a meal, some wines have a strong personality are better served with dessert after a meal, and others taste better as aperitifs. But barley and wine in this world are developing, and few need to be restrained that far.

My preference is to compete as an alcoholic beverage in combination with the most suitable dish.

For example, ask them to think about combinations of lager type beer and sausage, rich ale and white fish, white wine and chicken, and vote in those combinations.

It was the blacksmith guild dwarves who brought in the liquor. They are blacksmiths and not cooks. As a result, initially the Dwarves showed difficulty, but this time there are many tradesmen who want to connect with the blacksmiths.

I thought about burning these merchants and getting them to make an effort to keep the ingredients they brought in alive. That also includes a dislike for the merchants who only consider using this “festival”.

This quality review is sponsored by the Blacksmith Guild, but the substantial partition is recognised as me. For that reason, although I'm giving Jonathan Water, an Alliance employee, the position of secretary, the merchants tried to contact me frequently and shut up about it.

Especially since the merchants of Primus, the imperial capital of the Caerm Empire, ignore Johnny and come into contact with me, which was very annoying. It also comes out the name of the Rockhart family and the Marquis of Cordial Seawell, and ends badly because they come after finding out this one can't be unobstructed.

They have a say, too. With the closure of Aurelia Street this time around, there is no Aurelia Merchant, the biggest rival. I'm desperate to use this desk.

I know that, but you can't just deal with them as far as I'm concerned. So in an attempt to make effective use of its commercial soul, he came up with a contest with a combination of liquor and cooking.

Originally, the merchants are bringing in a dedicated cook with the intention of behaving in the venue. All we have to do is go around each booth to see what's right for our dishes, listen to the Dwarves and collaborate. It may be medium difficult to get the difficult dwarves to acknowledge, but it should work because it also fits the purpose of the merchants who want to get connections.

And it's a way to set the order, but other than the blacksmith guild and the officials in the commercial guild, that is, residents of this village and neighborhoods decided to vote and decide. I give three bills per person on admission, a system that votes for a liquor and cooking combination that I like. The voting time shall be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and shall be announced at the close of the sitting at 5 p.m.

Ingredients prepared, by the way, but very varied.

Smoked salmon and cheese from the Kingdom of Sartooth to the north, fruit and olive products from the Kingdom of Zirsol, an island nation floating in the Australis Sea to the south, seafood from Periplus to the west, as well as freshwater fish and root vegetables from the Kingdom of Lax, intestinal stuffs and hams from the Kingdom of Caum, and cheeses from Fortis, the country of mercenaries. And it was the ingredients brought in by the Plymouth merchants that were rolling.

With its vast territory, the Empire has a variety of climatic terroirs, including the southern part of the Mediterranean region with a warm climate similar to that of the Mediterranean region, the central part, which is a vast grassland area, and the northern part, which is a barn area. For this reason, herbs and spices are abundant from the southern region, which brings in a large number of them. In addition, some foods were rarely found anywhere else, such as pickled fruit syrup with plenty of sugar and pickled fish olive oil.

Meat and dairy products from a cattle demon called the Great Horn, a very rare large horn cow from the central region where dairy farming thrives, and various grains and legumes are brought in from the northern region where Welburn is located.

These ingredients were combined with fresh ingredients from the village of Rasmore and Kilnarek to make a variety of dishes. The easy part is to add boiled vegetables to the ones that baked the bowels, but the elaborate part even had dishes to simmer in a genuine large pot.

A skill assessment meeting for the Wellburn branch had been held in the morning, but the cooks were sweating down without seeing it. It was also worth it, and by around eleven o'clock the meadows north of Kanga Hill were full of aromatic aromas.

Not all the blacksmiths and merchants booths. The village of Rasmore also has a section, with three cooks waving their arms: the Black Pond "Black Ruff" pavilion, which is the village's liquor store and lodging house, the distiller "Pot Still" pavilion, and the liquor barrel "Cask" pavilion.

The Lockhart family is also to behave in cooking. This was decided by my mother Tanya. Initially, my father and I weren't much of a rider. Because I wondered if visitors would be reluctant or comfortable when the Lords, the Lockhart family, came forward too much.

We tried to make him stop, but he said, "It's okay. Because I have all the blacksmiths," my mother says, not at all willing. My father also eventually gave up and acknowledged with his face, "Well, should I think of it as a massive village festival?"

Indeed, the village festival is rude and my father, the lord, is juggling alcohol with the villagers. This time again, the Alliance headquarters behaves alcoholically, and there are some powerful men there comparable to kings, blacksmiths, alliance masons, and some real queens, albeit with patience. That makes it less uncomfortable to think about it.

But I'll mostly be the one to divide these stories. It was up to me to choose the dishes this time. Exactly. I don't attend a quality review, but I still have to serve dishes that I'm not ashamed of as the owner of the distillery, and I'm very concerned.

In the end, at our booth, as at last night's eve festival, we decided to focus on fried food dishes.

I've never known why my mother was bound to open a store since I came to Booth. Because there was a figure of Luna who was pulling it off.

"It's a corner festival," my mother says, "but Luna's expression remained almost the same as it was six months ago, and it remained dark. Though accompanied by Sharon and Mel, he doesn't look like he's having much fun.

Not only the Sharons, but also their younger brothers and sisters, Theo, Selah and Sophia, are definitely speaking to Luna, so I guess it's my mother's instructions.

I was afraid of the way it was going.

(Even though I haven't healed my heart wound, it would be counterproductive if I pulled it out... but it doesn't mean time will fix it, and I don't know what your mother thinks... try to be as concerned as possible...)

That being said, I don't think I can afford this festival. We have to go around the booth of the General Headquarters, each branch, and we can't ignore greetings from the merchants.

First, it was treated like an executive chairman of this festival, and although the MC left it to Johnny, the progression itself was to be partitioned by me. I still feel strange that I'm not even a formal guild official, but I'm giving up because I'm reluctant to come around eventually.

The noon bell rang, and host Johnny stepped on stage and said, "Now we are hosting a liquor quality review hosted by the Blacksmith Guild!," declares the opening meeting.

Ulrich, the master craftsman, should say hello, but because he was greeted at the morning skill appraisal meeting, it was rejected in a "troublesome" word, and Johnny had no choice but to declare the meeting open because the gauge notes of the former master craftsman and the blacksmiths who were the main ones were already in “drinking mode” with one hand on the jock.

"Now for this method of judging, I will vote for a combination of alcohol and dishes that I like the three bills I have already handed out to you…"

Johnny will explain how to vote. These polls seem to be the first attempt, with questionable voices coming from visitors, but Johnny politely explained them.

"Now you have suggested this project, I would like to have a word from Dear Zacharias Lockhart. Dear Zacharias, go ahead!

Johnny suddenly nominates me.

(It would be a Ulrich or Gaelnote prank. No, it could be the queen...)

I go onstage thinking about that. Give a toast to the venue,

"Gentlemen, I'm saying a quality review, consider it a play. Drinking is fun. This is the best! People have their own preferences for alcohol. Let's not be rude about ranking!

When I say that, I get all the applause and cheer from the Dwarves.

"Bye! Drinking is fun!", "This isn't a festival!" The voice goes up.

I salute those voices,

"It's a“ festival ”in the corner, so we have some fun for you"

"What fun!" Ulrich screams, "That means later fun," but leaves it unattended.

I haven't told anyone about this pastime, so Johnny and "I haven't heard it either," he looked a little troubled and asked in a whisper.

"Come on. 'Cause I didn't even hear you say hello, either,' he grinned niggly, and Johnny gave up and said," Really? Okay, tell me later, "he pulled back.

The merchants then go to the Dwarves' booths simultaneously and distribute their own dishes.

"Isn't this right for Branch Manager Yale?" or "Make sure you have our chicken dish for this black beer," etc.

With the polls starting at 2 p.m., the Dwarves must serve convincing dishes in the two hours leading up to that point. But the Dwarves are already in banquet mode, cheeking up the dishes they bring, but not deciding inside: "This guy is delicious, but it's hard to throw this one away," he said.

Some of the merchants did not ask Dwarves for their opinions, and some came to me. When most of them are Plymouth merchants and ask too many reasons, "Viscount Radford has advised me to ask Sir Zacharias for his opinion on food and alcohol".

Viscount Ignacious Radford, the Marquis Seawell minister who came here last month, is also said to be one of the finest gastronomers in the empire, and seems to have given advice to the merchants dealing with ingredients.

(I just don't have a loose eye. Speaking of asking me, the Dwarves can take it, and because there are so many residents around here who will vote, they will somehow put their votes in... but that's not funny...)

With that in mind, I replied, "Knowing the flavour of ingredients and the liquor that goes with them is part of the business," declaring that I would not advise on the combination.

I could have advised you, but my opinion is just my taste. Then I thought it would not create the temper to pursue something really delicious.

(I do have some knowledge of it, but that's not absolute. On the contrary, in my opinion, who was neither a cook nor a gastronomer, I have trouble setting the standard for this world. First of all, I don't trust my tongue...)

I went to eat a lot of delicious food in my previous life. It also often went to stores where trustworthy bartenders and cooks referred me, seldom pulling me off.

Sometimes I went to a new store with reference to the stars attached by a French tire manufacturer, but mostly it didn't suit my taste. Perhaps there was a deviation between my taste and that of the public. Well, that star has a lot of elements other than flavor, so maybe it's because of that.

Thinking about it, it's not good for me that my opinion dictates the combination of cooking and booze.

However, I thought it was bad for Viscount Radford not to advise on anything, and I gave him only one piece of advice.

"The combination of flavors is also important, but there are other important things. Especially at outdoor events like this one."

"What is it like?," the merchant tilts his neck.

"For a normal meal, eat without moving around at a solid table. But if you eat and drink outside, like this one, food with blocked hands is hard to eat. Avoid using both hands, such as cutting or removing them, and appreciate more what can be eaten with one hand, or even with one hand. You might want to think about it in that light."

The merchants immediately noticed what I was saying, nodded "I see," and immediately went to tell the cooks about the change.

The "Changing Liquor Culture in the Continent of Tria" by Ignacious Radford contains the following statement:

"Street food at the Blacksmith Guild Liquor Review, commonly known as the" Dwarf Festival, "which took place on April 21, 2018 in Tria history, was so shocked that it was said that it had changed the food culture of each city… at this time a new dish was emerging. One is skewering. Skewered meat dishes existed even before that. But it was simply a meat stung on a skewer, seasoned with salt, and then broiled with fire. However, at the Dwarf Festival, assuming an outdoor meal, various ingredients were stabbed in the skewers and served. Among them, sausage skewers stabbed with the roasted bowel" sausage "and fried skewers stabbed with chicken and fish fried with oil became popular. This was especially highly regarded by the Dwarves for having a jock in one hand but also for being able to eat food easily. Even more creative people make fruit-stained desserts. This was highly regarded by women and children who could not drink...... '

He also mentioned other dishes.

"... a sandwich that holds ingredients in bread." The white bread in the village of Rasmore is very soft and fine, but the bread was sliced and served with a variety of ingredients. It varied from roasted sausage and mustard to flavored with tomato sauce, smoked salmon and sliced onions, and a small amount of mayonnaise applied to it. Especially that the "burger” sandwich that baked the thinly extended ground beef supposedly conceived by Sir Zacharias and painted with stewed vegetables and red wine, sauces made with various spices, combined with fried chicken, raw vegetables and mayonnaise, was excellent and not only was it supported by various generations from children to adults, but the Dwarves admired it when it came to beer knobs… '

Radford also describes the subsequent changes in food culture.

"... the Plymouth merchants began selling“ sandwiches ”in the Imperial City. From its apparent novelty spread instantly among the imperial citizens with many sprinklers. Various variations arise, which also become eaten in the Imperial Palace. It became an indispensable dish, especially in the garden games, and the sandwiches, made small to make it easy for the ladies to eat, were so pervasive that a specialist cook was born… However, this dish had a very great drawback. It's so easy to eat compared to previous dishes that you eat too much. Many of your ladies have fallen in love with it. It is further said that the" gelato ”cold fruit, made at the wedding ceremony of the Ladswell Border House and also served at the festival, greatly influenced the shape of the ladies. Many ladies changed their luxurious dresses at the same time, so temporarily, in Imperial Capital, the tailors got so busy that they didn't have time to rest... '
