Dream Life

Lesson 38: New Weapons

Tria history June 1, 2018.

The retrofitting and manufacture of weapons by the blacksmith guild's master craftsman, Ulrich Drexler, was completed.

Me and Mel's magic sword were reinforced by Ulrich. It has changed the distribution of magic that makes it express just like the magic sword of the branch manager of the Welburn branch, Dagenhardt Grabsch, improving output by more than twenty percent and reducing consumption magic by about thirty percent.

Specifically, in the original state, it consumed 50 magic power (MP) to activate, and required about 0 and 7 per second to maintain it, but after the improvement of the magic team, it reached about 30 to activate and about 0 and 5 per second to maintain it. This resulted in continuous use time of more than two hours.

With further reference to the idea of Dagenhardt, the automatic repair of the tree attribute magic that had been granted to the sword body was removed by granting the automatic repair function to the sheath. For this reason, the sheath is made of beautiful patterned patent black leather from boneless wooden objects.

It fits the armor strangely and I feel it is becoming more disastrous. I know Ulrich was satisfied with this, but it hooks me up that the Liddies were oddly satisfied too.

The magic of anti-attribute hardening was enhanced by removing the automatic repair that had been granted to the sword. This further improves the sharpness without activating magic.

In addition, a new fire attribute has been given because the tree attribute has been deleted. In other words, it can also be used as a magic sword of fire. Because this fire attribute raises the output over the light attribute, a division can be made between the fire attribute, which has a short usage time but a large output, and the light attribute, which suppresses the output but can be used for a long time.

Flame of this fire attribute, but the output can be increased depending on the image. The optical attribute on the other hand becomes constant output because it imagines a beam weapon. There are no practical problems even with constant output, but I remain dissatisfied with the solidity of my head, which cannot break stereotypes.

The armor was better, but the Black Dragon armor by Georg Stoke was also improved. This one was originally endowed with the magic of metallic hardening, but it was also endowed with the magic of automatic repair. This is not always active, as is the case with swords, and is a method of switching with a "switch” so that it is hardened when fitted and automatically repaired when detached.

The switch always uses a tightening clasp when fitted. For this reason, special tools and operations are unnecessary and very reasonable. This “switch method," but as long as the principle is known, it doesn't seem so difficult for the famous Dwarves. Black Dragon's armor incorporates this other new attribute magic.

Similar switches are mounted on the chain mails of Mel and Beatrice's gauge notes to enhance the automatic repair function. However, the famous gauge notes also bothered me quite a bit because of the structural problems with the chainmail.

Eventually, it was resolved by wearing a plate with a magic formation written on it after removing the chainmail. Gaelnote said, "You're not scrupulous," but I'm settled on this method because I have no practical problems.

In addition, new functionality was added to this chain mail. It is “mental protection” by light attributes. This is a mechanism to cancel the magic of dark attributes by constantly releasing the magic of weak light attributes.

The principle is the same as the magic props of lights, which consume little magic (MP). Originally a Mithrill chainmail with a high Magic Defense, it is fully capable, but it assumes a battle against the Demons and strengthens its defense against Dark Attribute Magic.

That being said, I am only referring to the magic props of the lights in question, and the effect is only to a degree of rest.

This mental protection, but at first I thought a helmet to protect my head would be better, not a chain mail to protect my torso. However, since dark attribute magic acts on demonic crystal stones, it turns out that it is more efficient to strengthen armor that protects the chest from the neck.

In fact, I tried to use the magic of sleep to make sure, but it was more effective to protect the bottom from the cervical spine than to cover the head with a misrill. It seems common sense to the Dwarf blacksmiths, but it is an area where research is not in progress in the Mage Guild, and I intend to send a report to my mentor, Professor Raspade, at a later date.

Beatrice's Oigen spear, but he hasn't put much of a hand on it, except for making it more efficient. This is because it was originally highly complete and because of the characteristics of the weapon called a spear, it was difficult to attach an automatic repair function. Still, efficiency has improved by more than 30%, extending nearly twice as long as the continuous use time is sufficient.

In addition, Liddy's swords and protective gear have been strengthened, improving performance by about 20%. Besides, we're only finishing this in about ten days.

Originally, it would not be strange if all the work had been done in mid-May, but it was a prolonged cause of the temper that led to the production of the weapons of the squire. I don't believe it's for wanting to stay in the village for long.

Apart from the seven Dwarves who made us Zachsextedt's weapons, the famous two-handed swordsman Huzeif Youngels and the famous one-handed sword artist Gotthardt Halforf strike the swords of Byron Seedorf and Nicholas Garland, respectively.

Its Byron, but initially showed difficulty in being awarded a sword by the Queen of the Kingdom of Kaum, whom he had limited. His former boss, Oswald Granger, has been stripped of his countenance last October, but that didn't take responsibility for the fall of Fort Toa, which was prompted by an attempted injury to me. For that reason, Byron still has a crush on the royal family.

"I am the one who ran away from Kaum. I consider it dishonest to receive a sword from a royal family who did nothing to his men who died for no reason."

My grandfather showed understanding in the words, but my thoughts were different.

"It's not like I can be honored by the royal family. Get help. It's not a very good way to put it, but if you turn down your sword and you get scattered in battle, your dead men will be saddened."

Byron didn't break the look of being hard to convince, but my persuasion led him to acknowledge by saying at the end, "I will receive the sword for the Lockhart family".

I promised to strike my sword safely, but then it was hard again.

Fuzeif is also a comparable owner of arms to the Ulrich and has his own workshop, but the facility in the village of Rasmore was too awesome. Fuzeif's craftsman soul caught fire when he was able to use more than his knee arse at General Headquarters.

Byron's two-handed sword was originally a large, two-handed sword over one and five meters long, and the sword body "Blade" is wide, and the use of expensive magic metal can cost a huge amount of money just for the material. With swords this size, it's normal to make them out of Ars steel, which is all high-quality steel, even though they're super first-rate blacksmiths, and rarely even made out of misrills.

They also intended to make Fuzeif at first with misrills, but they wanted to use a furnace and tools dedicated to Adamantite, which meant they would pay for the difference in the cost of the material themselves, which changed it.

Byron was also puzzled by this, and he said, "Enough for me with Ars steel," and praised him. But Fuzeif asked for "somehow let me do it," a groundhog momentum, and even more Ulrich asked his grandfather Govan to persuade Byron to become an Adamantite sword.

Byron's sword, but his hope helps strengthen the magic of hardening. When his strength and sword weight were added, even the regular sword showed incredible destructive power, but the strain on the sword for that matter was enormous and often damaged.

For this reason, it hangs the magic of hardening until it is critical, making the original robust Adamantite sword even more robust. Instead of iron during the trial slaughter, let me slap or break the rock pillar I made, so much so that my grandfather murmured at its insane sturdiness that "even the walls of the castle are about to be slashed".

The automatic repair function imparted to the sheath and the weak but light attributed magic sword made it a three-attributed magic sword. Considering the cost of materials, I wonder if it is the most expensive sword in the world.

Gothalt striking Nicholas' sword, but initially he also intended to use Adamantite. But Nicholas tells me that Adamantite is too heavy for my style of combat and I give up crying.

This is not a metaphor. I was really crying. He wanted to use the equipment in this workshop so badly that he laid his hands on the ground and cried.

For that matter, he is bound by the magic crystal stone to be attached to the sword, and uses the magic crystal stone of Red Dragon, a first-degree equivalent of Red Dragon, which is tens of thousands of kronas a piece and tens of millions of yen in Japanese yen. This demonic crystal stone bill was borne by Gotthardt.

The use of this magic crystal stone, but my ideas are brought to life. For this reason, an unprecedented magic sword was completed.

I'll change the story, but I'm not a magician, whether Nicholas or Byron, so I have less magic (MP) holdings. For this reason, Fuzeif predominated in the magic of hardening with low MP consumption, and set the light attribute as weak for paired undead.

But you didn't think Gotthardt was funny with that, "Can you handle it? Lend me your wisdom," he asked me for my opinion. So I used two demonic crystal stones that I was warming up as ideas, and I suggested the idea of one as a magic tank.

In normal weapons, only one magic crystal stone is used, which is only part of the magic circuit, and magic (MP) is supplied by the user himself. Of course, it is possible to supply magic to the curing magic of constant actuation, etc., but it rarely contributes when consuming large amounts of magic, as in the case of granting attribute magic.

This idea, but not very novel. Because it is the same principle as the magic props of lights, which are normally used lighting fixtures in this world.

The magic props of the lights emit light because of the magic stored in the Demonic Crystal Stone. The image is the same as a rechargeable battery light, and if you consider the Demonic Crystal Stone as a battery just like this, it is possible to activate it even if the operator does not continue to give it magic.

The reason this idea has never been practical is because the magic reserves of Demonic Crystal Stone are not large. If it's the primary equivalent, it has more than a thousand adult human reserves, but even the secondary equivalent of Demonic Crystal Stone can only save about 300 and about half of adult humans.

In other words, if you try to activate the magic sword with only the second-degree equivalent of the Demonic Crystal Stone, it will run out in just about a minute, making it impractical. For this reason, a first-degree equivalent of Demonic Crystal Stone is required in order to be used in action.

To this idea Gotthardt initially said negatively, "If you put on the Demonic Crystal Stone both of them will be unbalanced". Indeed, even the first-degree equivalent of the Demonic Crystal Stone is about ten centimeters in diameter larger than the ball of baseball. If you attach something that big to your sword, you can easily imagine it becoming difficult to use.

So what I came up with was a way to connect the magic tank without attaching it to the sword and with a mythrill cord like a mobile battery.

The battery crystal stone attaches to the uninterrupted hips and connects to the caged "gauntlet" through a misrilled circuit in the armor. Then you tie the cage hand and the sword pattern "Grip" with a chain of misrils to provide magic to the sword. Tie the sword in a chain on your wrist and it seems hard to use, but it's not uncomfortable because it's actually laced with anti-fall strings.

This idea, but it doesn't fit a swordsman who uses a one-handed, half-slape like me, the Bastard Sword. This is because when using with both hands and when using with one hand, it changes the place to grip and sometimes releases the right hand, which is the dominant arm. It is also impractical when using bows and swords together, like Dan or Liddy.

There were many people in the Lockhart family who used bastard swords under the influence of their grandfather, and the swordsman who used long swords for one hand was about Nicholas, so it would be an idea that finally saw the day.

This external magic tank method, but the blacksmiths' reputation was not very good. Admittedly, it improves dramatically in terms of performance, but as a weapon, it lacks beauty.

"I admit it's useful, but this guy is just a tool. I don't think it's the same weapon they make with their souls."

Even Gotthardt, who made it, leaves a comment like this.

It was still overwhelming in terms of performance. If you don't install a magic tank, the only time Nicholas can activate it, even with this magic sword that has improved efficiency, is about seven minutes. But when you connect the magic tank, it extends to more than three times twenty-five minutes.

And the advantage of this magic tank system is that it does not have to be the magic of the equipped person. It takes roughly one night for all magic to heal. However, if other than the gear man replenishes the magic, he will always be able to use the magic sword except for charging time.

It is difficult to fall into a loss of fighting power due to the loss of magic, because even ordinary people who are not magicians can replenish their magic, although they cannot have several magic crystal stones just equivalent to the first degree. By the way, the magic replenishment time is about an hour to the "fully charged” state. Because the total amount of magic in the average person is not huge, it will be replenished by three or more people, but in just one hour the magic sword will be available without penalty.

This other notable weapon would be Walt Vassel's spear. Just like Beatrice, "The Oigen of the Divine Spear” is an item made by Oigen Hauser, slightly longer than Beatrice's, and others have almost the same performance. I mean, Oigen's greatest masterpiece.

It was fresh to watch Walt wave his new spear happily, which usually doesn't change his expression.

In addition to this, the squire's protective equipment is new or reinforced, and their defenses are greatly improved.

I wanted to talk to these superb blacksmiths this time.

It's about the manufacture of expensive versions of Mithril weapons.

Mithrill ingots are gobbling around here, but they are inherently rare metals, materials that are so difficult to obtain that it is even difficult to collect materials for a single long sword.

Mithril is sometimes characterized as compatible with magic, but is raised to be damaged by undead such as Ghost, a ghost that cannot be harmed by normal metallic weapons. It is also said to be effective against magic defenses and has about five times more defense than steel.

Not necessarily that the enemies of the gods are undead, but at least the demons manipulating the dark attribute magic are after Luna. Considering that, we need to keep our defenses up against dark attribute magic, or magic that acts on the spirit.

So what I was thinking was if I could coat the weapon with a misrill. If you can coat it on protective equipment, it might be less effective against attack magic, but at least it would be effective against mental attacks. It can also be a relatively inexpensive anti-undead weapon if coated with swords, spears, and arrows.

I myself have tried "Mithrill Plating” with metallic magic. Plating is magically possible with other metals, such as chromium, but it did not work many times with misrills.

I know why it doesn't work. Mithril's magic conductivity is high.

It's metallic magic that tries to coat the misrill with magic, but the misrill itself diffuses the magic, and it didn't act as magic.

I talked to Ulrich and other superb blacksmiths about the misrill coating.

The first time I talked about the idea, the answer came back to me: "What's stupid," but when I said, "Wouldn't the magic formation draw with another metal on top of the metal," I started to roar, and at the end I started saying, "Maybe I can".

"You know, if you use metallic magic combined with magic grant skills, you can draw a magic formation on a Mithrill sword. Conversely, it may be possible to apply a misrill to the steel"

Magic granting is a skill that imparts magic to weapons, etc., often possessed by Dwarf blacksmiths, elf craftsmen, etc. It was also used for cloaks with waterproof and blade-proof features bought in Doctus, which can be granted magic without the use of magic crystal stones or magic formations.

This magic grant attenuates the magic hung over time, but combines it with the magic formation like the magic of hardening for lasting effect.

Another way to use magic grant is to draw magic formations on magic metals such as misrils.

Magical metals, as I mentioned earlier, are prone to diffuse magic, and even if they try to draw using metallic magic, they diffuse magic to draw, and they don't draw well.

By using this magic grant skill, you can partially anchor metallic magic in magic metals and draw magic formations.

"I mean, bye. Mithrills may be thinly extended with metallic magic combined with magic grants and settled in steel. I don't know if it's gonna work."

Interested, Ulrich and Gaelnote and others began to try.

The magic of handling their metals is unique and spell-free, using tools to give them local magic. This seems to be a method cultivated by years of training, which activates magic while praying to the Golden God (Fellum) in his heart.

As Ulrich hammered Mithril shards onto a steel sword for the vigilante, Mithril was gradually extended thin and the steel surface turned into a beautiful silver color like a mirror. If the steel sword, which was enough and had no weird philosophy whatsoever, was only turning into a misrillic sword if it looked like it.

I didn't even have a sentimental voice in that hand.

(That's the blacksmith guild's master craftsman... the hammer is just as clean as polished...)

Ulrich at the time gave me his sword by saying, "This is how it's supposed to be."

"If you cut something, you'll fall off the thrill."

I finally get back to that word.

"No, it's basically for ghosts and raises or something. I'm not going to slash anything hard... and it's brilliant..."

I look at Blade, my sword body, in the light.

Asking Beltram beside him, "Can we do the same thing?" he looked slightly at him and said, "I can't do the same level as your uncle," but immediately showed confidence that "if you just stick it, you can't even try it a few times".

He then had a misrill affixed to the inside of his chest armor, Cuiras, for the vigilante, on the gauge note. Though the breastplate has more area than the sword, the misrill used takes about thirty grams and a small amount.

This misrill-coated armor, but surprisingly, was equivalent in performance to all misrill-made armor when it comes to psychic magic. This started with Gaelnotes, and Georg Stokke and other armorers were surprised.

"This guy could make the Kaum Kingdom happy. Because the magic of the Demon Clan drinks boiled water."

"No, the magic of the arrows of darkness. It has little effect on attack magic, so you wouldn't expect so much?

When I say that, Byron, who actually has the experience of fighting the Demons, has joined the story.

"Surely the magic of dark arrows is the lord if it is the little devil Imp, but the Winged Demons should have used such magic as sleep and paralysis. I think this is enough capacity. And..."

Mouths where I said it.

I said, "And?," he urged ahead, continuing his words with a bitter smile.

"I thought the Knights of the Holy Silver would want to use it. Of course, it's a misthrill on the outside, not the inside."

The Knights of Sacred Silver are the Kingsguard Knights of the Kingdom of Kaum and, as the name suggests, the Knights crowned with Sacred Silver, or Mithrill. However, they use armor decorated with "silver” because Mithril's armor is expensive and the blacksmiths do not want to make armor to those who are powerless, like the Knights of the Holy Silver Knights. That's why I said the Knights of the Holy Silver would want it.

Anyway, the fact that the vigilante had a purpose in strengthening his weapons and protective gear was a major step forward.
