Dream Life

Episode XV: Lord Ezarrington's Thoughts

The night of January 23rd.

After dinner with the Lockhart family, Duke Alexis Ezarrington invited Marquis Clement Seawell, Count Adolf Rednap and Viscount Ignacious Radford to his own study.

Slightly narrow study for one of the Duke's castles, but the bookcase on the wall is lined with old leather fitted books, and the glossy leather sofa and polished sandalwood table that give a sense of history exude the financial strength and elegance of the Lord in this room.

On the table was a beautiful bottle, as if it had cut out crystals, and the amber liquor was brilliant in the flames of a rocking fireplace, creating a sight that could be described as fantastic.

The four of them are sitting on a comfortable sofa while tipping their liquor. But that look is hard and doesn't look lenient after supper.

Lord Ezarrington began to speak with a serious look when he put his mouth on a beautiful, heavy brandy glass made of crystal glass given to him by the Lockhart family.

"At least the Lockhart family doesn't belong to any faction, it's good to be a true neutral. We must also inform His Excellency the Prime Minister and decide on future policies."

The Seawell Marquis and three others nod instantly, but Uncle Rednap opens his mouth with a serious look. Until now, the luxurious image is dust-free and even gloomy.

"As long as that person, or Zacharias, is present, he will not join either the Crown Prince or the Leopold Prince, no matter what hand he strikes. If there is concern, on the contrary, hostility with any faction…"

"Hostile... it certainly can be," Marquis Seawell mutters.

Viscount Radford supplements his master's grunt.

"Sure. Especially His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Grand Duke Langton. People who don't think deeply about things. It would be nice to the extent that he tries to pull in with authority, but if anything does harm to someone in the Lockhart family, what kind of hand would Lord Zacharias of family thoughts strike...... Usually he has a young but strong sense of self-control. However, if you decide to strike your hand, you will strike a bold hand that we do not even think about. Worst case scenario, it could even be Luke's two dances"

"You're talking about replacing the archbishop's neck. Surely that was his plan."

That's what Lord Etherlington said as if to confirm,

"If things were to be like Dwarves all over the Empire pulling up to Ars, the imperial authority would fall to the ground. It is imperative that Luke use that as an opportunity to gain momentum... there are too many enemies now. We must end the inheritance problem in a good way at all costs."

On a serious topic, although I mouth Brandy, I didn't even feel its strong alcohol, Alcohol.

Marquis Seawell thinks it will get serious if we continue with this story, and reverts to the story.

"I thought it was vital to prevent unnecessary interference with the Lockhart family first. Is it not part of that that I brought your daughter?"

"Um," the Duke nodded,

"The Grand Duke of Langton has a direct granddaughter of thirteen years of age, and Lord Ingolthrop has a son who becomes eighteen. They all must have had fiancées, but there is no doubt that they will try to give Zacharias credit for them. If we find out this one's moving before then, it's gonna be hard to get a cross spear in."

Uncle Rednap nods loudly.

"Lawrencia is always the chief talented woman in the Academy, including elementary school. Master Primrose is familiar with the sweetness of Teito and is likely to fit in with gastronomer Zacharias. Even more beautiful for both of you, close to your age. Both the Grand Duke and the Duke of Ingolslop are prized men. You know you're going to lose. You won't be challenged."

The Higher Academy in Imperial Capital is the highest school of the Caerm Empire. In the three-year system noble children aged fifteen to eighteen learn, Laurencia is now in third grade and Primrose is in first grade.

It should be noted that there is a three-year elementary academy where children between the ages of twelve and fifteen learn.

This time Lord Ezarrington is back in the territory with his two daughters to make it look like he was trying to take Zacharias in. This is to prevent the royalists, the Leopold royalists, from trying to take Zacharias in the same way.

Furthermore, he used Marquis Seawell, and Zacharias married all four beauties, all of whom were a thousand mighty men, "Tsuwa Things," spreading rumors that they would not even put them on their teeth unless they were women entrusted with their backs.

On top of that, I would have brought my own daughter closer, and if Zacharias hadn't shown interest, I was going to circulate it as a rumor.

Laurencia is famous as a talented woman, and if even that girlfriend is turned down, she expects us to consider it even more difficult for our own blood relatives.

"In fact, my daughters won't even hang it on their teeth. Those four beauties are too bad for Rencia or Rose in their opponents"

Lord Ezarrington smiles bitterly as he mouths the nickname of his two daughters.

"You were indeed magnificent to all four. He seemed nervous the first time we met, but he seemed like someone else at dinner. That's a first-rate adventurer. Your liver stood still enough to smile in front of you."

Uncle Rednap remembers and admires what Lydiane and the others look like.

"Regardless of what Zacharias thinks, are you sure?," Marquis Seawell asks Lord Etherlington.

"I wonder what that means, Lord Clement."

"If so, wouldn't it be troublesome if the ladies gave Zacharias their thoughts?"

Lord Ezarrington responds to the question by shaking his neck small.

"Both Rencia and Rose have a sense of consciousness as the daughter of the Duke's family. This time, I'm sure of it."

"But the opponent is enough to have two names:" All-Range Prince Harlem. "Lord Hubert was zero, but when his men coached the samurai, all of them wanted to go to Lockhart territory..."

Marquis Seawell explains that Zacharias instructed the ladies of the Raswell Borderline Uncle House to serve, and that all the ladies under that guidance wished to go to the village of Rasmore, the Borderline.

"I've heard that story. If my daughters got serious, I'd just tell them to turn around on their own. If you can turn it around with that, you can't even hope for my Ezarrington family. You can get a strong pipe with the Blacksmith Guild."

Lord Ezarrington is a family thought for the Duke's head, but still never forgets his duty as the head of the famous family that brings him to the Imperial Family. Naturally, my daughters consider it a valuable tool of political strategy.

"Either way, it includes telling the two of them to make it look like they have a good relationship with Zacharias. After that, if you induce merchants who have dealings with us to spread rumors in Imperial Capital, the Grand Dukes should have difficulty getting their hands on it."

And Lord Seawell nods.

"That's true. After this, the Lockhart family will stay in our territory for about ten days. Nor will the people of the Empire be able to turn their hands just as far as our territory, and I will not let them. Let me tell you something about Zacharias with my ladies and the merchants who go in and out of my house."

Planned for the Lockhart family ahead of us from Ezarrington, but instead of going directly to the Imperial capital Plymouth, we were supposed to go to the Marquis of Seawell. This was spared in the itinerary, and was incorporated into the plans from before departure because the Rockharts offered to receive guidance "lectures" from the Marquis of Seawell on their gestures in the Imperial capital and relations between the nobles, and the information was circulated to both the Crown Prince and the Crown Prince.

The real reason is that they are solicited by various forces when they stay in Imperial Capital longer, shortening the length of their stay to reduce it as much as possible. There was also a method of delaying departure from the village, but in the middle of winter in the mountainous areas this method was taken because of the risk of delay attached.

So far, the ceremony of the Duke is scheduled for February 20th, and it would suffice to enter the Imperial Capital ten days ago. Since you can travel from Seawell to Imperial City in three days even if you see room, there is no problem if you leave for Imperial City by February 8th.

In the meantime, Laurencia and the others accompany the Lockhart family.

Moreover, there was little room for the Grand Duke's hands to enter, as Seawell, the territorial capital of the Marquis of Seawell, was a relatively small city, and the Marquis' ministers were all those who served over the years.

"Bad for Ignacious, sir, but hurry to the Imperial Capital, take full charge of the angel, then head to Seawell."

When Marquis Seawell says so, Viscount Radford replies, "As you wish,"

"I will definitely be back before we talk about building a distillery. We would also like to hear some suggestions for improving the brewery if possible, but this one will be manageable by our people"

The Viscount's words make Lord Ezarrington wonder, "Will we still be talking about booze?" but he said nothing more because it is about the major industries of the Marquis Seawell family.

When Lord Ezarrington and the others were discussing the Lockhart family, Laurencia called her sister Primrose into her room to talk about the Lockhart family.

"What do you think of your father's story?

Asked so by Laurencia, Primrose remembers the supper, slightly blushing her cheeks.

"I'm especially...... but that was better thought of the cold treat Gelato, wasn't it? I'm talking about Viscount Radford, and if you know all sorts of sweeter Sweets... I wonder if you could make me some new treats..."

Laurencia holds down her temples with a loud sigh of sighing, "It's you...... ha" to the answer she missed her sister's aim.

"As always, you have no eyes for sweet things... you don't, you mean to make us look attracted to that guy (...) to protect the Lockhart family. I'm not convinced of Me, but what about you?

Primrose said, "Wasn't your sister convinced, too?" and lean his little neck.

"It's your father's order, so I had no choice but to accept it. I'm not convinced."

"Why not? Doesn't that mean we're just together for, like, ten days? Viscount Radford said I'd be happy to have something delicious with that one?

Blue muscles stand on Laurencia's temples in her sister's naturalness.

"Good thing! We are the daughters of the Duke of Ezarrington! That's the knight's, and you have to make it look like you're thinking about your second son! Oh, there's no way I'm convinced of that!

Laurencia gets embarrassed by the words she says herself, and her face turns red.

She was unusual for a Duke's Lady and took her studies at the Academy seriously. This was made so by her natural seriousness, but as a result, she is winning the seat of chief with strength.

Academic grades are a system that adds up the more highly, and the Duke of Ezarrington family, also related to the Imperial Family, has the biggest addition. Except for that, however, she had gained the seat of chief and was confident in her own academic abilities.

On the other hand, I was very handy when it came to romance, and I couldn't keep up with the stories of romance where my classmates raised their fever.

In response to her, her father, Lord Ezzarington, has told her to use “woman” as a weapon. She was outraged by that.

Of course, she is also convinced to hear her father's explanation of the Lockhart family's political position and implications for the future of the Empire. With that in mind, the young lady could not contain her difficult feelings to convince.

There was still a reason why it was unconvincing.

That's in that Zacharias, younger than himself, already has two wives and two more fiancées.

She recognized Zacharias as a “woman lover," and making him seem like such a thought-provoking girl was unconvincing to her.

We talked about her identity, but she herself, she doesn't really care about that. Lord Ezarrington often enrolled civilians if he was good, and from birth there were many civilians and cavaliers around her. For that reason, the Academy did not feel resistant to receiving teaching from junior aristocrats, and there were millionaires but also civilian friends.

"I felt a little arrogant. You don't think so, either?

Suddenly the story changes and Primrose tilts her neck for a moment, but there is no confusion because I know her sister's personality.

"Were you? I thought you were clear?

Primrose answers that, thinking of the sight of dinner.

"I refused your father's invitation, the Duke of Ezarrington! Even though it offered the conditions for breaking!

"But isn't that because your father tried Sir Zacharias?

"I know that! But I can't believe I turned down your father's invitation... and I had an opinion on your father..."

Primrose doesn't know what her sister wants to say anymore. Still, from years of dating, I know it's going to be tough to say that, and I won't say anything.

Laurencia herself, she was losing track of what she was angry about.

"That's enough. Let's talk about tomorrow," he suddenly changes his story.

"You should go to the city tomorrow after breakfast. Where could he have gone?

"You're going to the Paston Chamber of Commerce, which handles food. After lunch at some restaurant, I looked around freely, and Uncle Adolph said," You know what? "

Answer my sister's question immediately.

"Escort was I Sir Rodrick and you were Sir Zacharias...... hey Rose, could you take my place?

I wondered why Primrose needed to take his place, but I immediately say yes, fine.

"Thank you," questioned his grinning sister.

"But why do you need to replace me?

To that casual question, Laurencia said, "Huh?" He raises his voice and, "And I don't know why in particular…" he denies it, but he immediately re-says it.

"Yes, no, considering what your father ordered, this is the best part. I'd rather be with Sir Zacharias."

Though I wondered if Primrose was anything like that, I never questioned it any more.

After her sister returned to her room, Laurencia called a samurai and ordered her ready for tomorrow.

"Tomorrow I'm going to ask you to coordinate with the concept of a maiden in love."

The samurai hears the request and is puzzled. Having seen that look, Laurencia thought she had put it the wrong way, but without putting it on her face, she gives instructions.

"I heard Sir Zacharias prefers a black costume... what kind of dress would you like to fit that one? The wives seem to have a certain color, so please choose not to wear it..."

The samurai, bewildered, said, "Yes, ma'am," and left.

From Laurencia at that time, she seemed to be hiding the confusion, with a slightly reddish face. Of course, I'm not aware of that in person.

The samurai then consulted her colleagues and further prepared her costume as she asked Angelica Colridge and Eleanor Maysfield, the samurai of the Lockhart family, for their opinions.

"Lady Laurencia, I think you fell in love with Sir Zacharias. Must be my first love. It looked like a lot of fun..."

The story told by one of the samurai quickly spread among the samurai. And that spreads to merchants and soldiers in and out.

The next day Lord Ezarrington heard the rumor and was satisfied that "Rencia is doing well," but his wife Mercedes was smiling, "Is it really a play?"

"What do you mean?" Lord Ezarrington asks, but Mercedes says, "Come on, what do you think" and makes fun of it.

Lord Ezarrington recalls a certain keyword.

("The All-Range Prince of Harlem"... but it's been a few hours since we met. Impossible......)

Though I thought so, when I saw my wife smile, I couldn't feel confident as soon as I could.
