Dream Life

Episode XIX: Where the Banquet Is

After 3 p.m. on the 24th of January.

After a stroll through Ezarrington Street, he returned to the castle.

The measures to make it look like a good relationship with the Duke's Ladies also worked well and were satisfactory, but I was often concerned about something and tired.

(I guess if we go to Imperial City, more trouble will happen...... when is it that we drink and make noise with our families and dwarves......)

When I go back to my room and sit back in my chair and relax, Liddy says "good luck" and works for me.

"I'm really tired. Later it will be just evening training and dinner, so not so much."

Talking about that, a maid from the Duke's family told me, "Marquis Seawell has seen you".

When panicked by the Lord's visit to the Marquis family, Marquis Seawell shows up saying, "Where I'm tired, I'm sorry".

"I need to talk to you about dinner tonight."

I heard about dinner and started talking amazing when I wondered if I would even check the food instead of Viscount Radford.

"I'd like to have dinner tonight at the Blacksmith Guild, what do you think?

I don't know what I'm talking about for a moment in that word.

(Supper means Lord Ezzarington will be there, too. It could be the queen of some country, but it would be impossible for the Duke of the Empire to attend the Dwarf banquet...)

Earlier, the Raswell Border Uncle had a banquet in the open with the Dwarves of the Wellburn Branch, but that was a tribute to the benefactor of life and an unusual anomaly during. This time he is the cousin of the present emperor, and the Duke, the elder of the empire. When you think about security, a sudden visit is too unusual.

While I'm confused, Lord Seawell will explain why.

"The minister of Lord Alexis has asked, but the blacksmiths were dismayed that they could not have a feast with the Lockhart family,“ friends of the Dwarves, "he said. Lord Alexis is heartbroken to hear this story. But Sir Masaias will not be able to make a difference to what he has already promised. Then we talked about attending the Alliance banquet..."

The Lockhart family originally planned to stay two nights in the city of Ezarrington. The first night was to pay a tribute visit to Ezzarington Castle, greet Lord Ezzarington's deputy and participate in a welcome feast at the Blacksmith's Guild the following day.

That was Lord Ezzarington himself, so he rescheduled abruptly. Because even though we have the next Chancellor, the Duke, we can't take part in a banquet that takes place outside the castle.

That's not why I'm not even talking about how I should extend my stay and go on the third day. Because even though the Lord of the castle who is staying is the immediate host, the act of going to other banquets can deliberately crush the face of the Duke who came from the Imperial City.

For this reason, I put out the use during yesterday and refuse the banquet. Of course, Scotch is a condition of giving it away and joining the feast on his return from the Imperial Capital, in the form of a request for a postponement rather than a complete no. The postponement made the Dwarves reluctantly agree.

But if Lord Ezarrington listened to the story, tried to figure it out, and cared for himself, he seemed to think he should go to the guild. This would allow the Lockhart family to attend the Guild banquet without canceling dinner at the Duke of Ezarrington's.

"... but. I don't know if the Dwarves will allow Lord Alexis to join us. I don't think it would be a problem if I had your mouthfeel..."

It was a request to stand between Lord Ezarrington, who had little contact before, and the Dwarves of the Blacksmith Guild.

"I don't mind, but wouldn't the Duke have to go that far? The Dwarf blacksmiths don't care about such details. I don't think it would be a problem if we went through here on the way home from Imperial Capital."

In fact, although I visited the guild after noon, it was at first that I gave him an unsatisfactory look, by the time I get home, he smiles and sends me off looking forward to the banquet.

"That's true... but it doesn't taste good to stay in debt to the blacksmith guild. Especially if there are rumors of Dwarves being rubbed with lockheart entanglements. This may be annoying to you, but I need you to take your skin off here."

Marquis Seawell wasn't convinced by my explanation and asked me to do the same again.

The Blacksmith Guild is an organization with great power, but it is just a gathering of blacksmiths who are civilians.

Branch chiefs and other powerful parents are invited to the mansion to dine with each other, which is unlikely yet, but it is too unusual for the Empire's heavy elders to take their own feet.

If it is a serious act in the Duke's house that leads to the Imperial Family, it can even risk being turned into an offensive material by political opponents.

"I do not think the blacksmiths make a very good impression as it is, but I was wondering if it would be enough to just tell Kemp Branch Manager from me. I think it's more problematic that the Duke went to a banquet downstairs."

Marquis Seawell nodded after saying "um,"

"It is politically unpleasant to think that your relationship with a blacksmith as the head of the Fourth Corps is twisted. It threatens to be seen as the same situation as Luke's and the outside world is too bad"

Sure, but that sounded like a painful excuse.

(I guess you want to appeal to me that I'm in a good relationship with the blacksmith guild on this occasion. As far as I'm concerned, I don't want to use the Dwarves for politics...)

If we take advantage of the Lockhart family and appeal to them to have a better relationship with the Blacksmith Guild, they can make it look like we're in neutrality. I began to think it might be such a thought.

"What do you say? Would you please take off your skin?"

I don't want to use the Dwarves for politics, even though Marquis Seawell's asking me to take care of them. At least if you don't put some kind of limit on it, you can't ask.

"You can't use the blacksmith guild politically out of friendship with them. Therefore, it is possible to hang on to the guild if it means that His Excellency the Duke of Ezarrington will not be officially visited and will have complete patience and will not be uttered in any way on this matter afterwards. Whatever it is, it is subject to the condition that Father Masaias acknowledge it."

Rumors may flow even if it's not an official visit, but if I stop at the guild, the story of the Duke visiting won't be a big one.

Unless, of course, the Duke spreads himself, but if he's going to use the Dwarf politically, that means a break from me.

I didn't dare mention that.

By letting Lord Ezarrington himself decide what to do, we intend to determine whether he wants to turn to his enemies or genuinely establish friendship with the Lockhart family.

"Good. Then would you check with Sir Masaias? I'll tell Lord Alexis, too."

"Okay. Now, even soon," he said, turning to his father.

When I enter my father's room, I briefly tell him my story with Lord Seawell.

A wrinkle leans between my father's brows as I listen to him.

"... that is. You mean the Duke will attend the blacksmiths' banquet with patience? Doesn't it have to be that far? I was under the impression that the blacksmiths could go home."

I'm going to talk to my father about the reasoning I've been thinking about. My father listened to me and questioned me even more.

"... that is. His Excellency the Duke wants to show that he has good relations with the Alliance. But wouldn't that come true if I drank the terms you said?

"No. Even if this doesn't leak outside, they'll try to get a better relationship with the Blacksmith Guild because of this"

"Doesn't that fit your mind, then? Your Excellency will be using the Alliance politically…"

That's what I say and tilt my neck.

"The Blacksmiths will accept this story unconditionally, as the Lockhart family is amiable. But then, with their own actions, they have to be recognized by the blacksmiths. I don't think the Dwarves will recognize anyone who's trying to use them, even if they don't know their political intentions."

My father said, "I see. Sure, maybe so," he nodded.

"The next thing you know, let them identify themselves."

When I nodded loudly, my father said, "I'll leave you to it," and he admitted.

Head straight to the Blacksmith Guild Branch in the West End, but don't have much time to train in the evening. That's why I'm going to run all the way through the city of Ezarrington.

Was it a little early for more crowd time, unexpectedly, easy to run? But the people of the city looked suspicious as the young man with the blackheads ran with tremendous momentum.

We arrive at the branch in about fifteen minutes because there is no great distance. When he showed his face to the receptionist, he was immediately put through to the branch manager's office.

I'm going to tell the surprised Ivan Kemp branch manager what's going on.

"... so besides us, His Eminence the Duke can come with patience. I want you to keep your mouth shut about that."

"I don't mean to exaggerate alcohol with the Lockhart family, then. Well, besides, the Duke is coming, but he told me to keep my mouth shut about it. If that's what you're saying, there's no denying it to Nona."

I immediately admitted that.

The senator and ruler of this city, Lord Ezzarington, comes to a bitter laugh when he says, "Besides”.

I said, "Well, I'll be back" because I've got business to do, and I tried to leave the room.

"Oh, no..." he said, still saying something. He does.

When I ask, "Is there something," after "Oh," I don't cut it out inside.

I immediately understood what I wanted to say when I started saying, "I'm not talking about the Zack collection..."

"Of course, I'll bring the Zach collection"

"Ooh!" he raised his voice, "Finally you can drink!" and made his hands protrude into heaven to express joy.

After revealing his joy for about a minute, he said, "How many are there for you, by the way? I've been checking."

"It's not a big deal. That's about twenty liters."

Ivan hears and thinks about the amount.

"How many liters would it be for fifty? I know you don't have a litre..."

He calculates how much he can drink, whining and bumping. People in this world are not good at calculations, especially those who can be allocated are the only ones who use them on a daily basis, such as accounting officials.

"If it's fifty people, it's like four hundred cc, more than half a dozen on a jock. Well, I can get you five or six glasses."

I'm immediately convinced that Ivan also knows how to drink the Zach collection.

"I'm going to be here after 6 pm. All my people are coming, so leave the place empty."

When I said that, he immediately summoned an official and said, "In lockheart and banquet! Ask for immediate preparation," he says.

I leave the branch because I have evening training, but behind me was the rushing footsteps of the officials.

When Marquis Clement Seawell concluded his discussions with Zacharias, he headed to the office of Duke Alexis Ezarrington on that foot.

In the office, Lord Etherlington and Count Adolphe Rednapp, the belly heart, were waiting.

"I don't know about the tail, Lord Clement," he cuts out as though Lord Ezarrington can't wait.

Marquis Seawell smiles slightly at the appearance, but immediately explains the outline of his conversation with Zacharias and communicates the terms he attaches.

"... the only condition that Zacharias has is that Lord Alexis will keep it a secret."

Lord Ezarrington put his arms together and exhaled as he roared.

"You're a horrible man. I increasingly wanted to add that man to my camp," he murmurs.

"I wonder what you mean," asked Uncle Rednapp, Lord Ezarrington, laughing bitterly and beginning to talk about his thoughts.

"He's trying to test me."

"Are you trying?" I ask back unexpectedly.

"Oh, by making sure I can't use the blacksmiths politically, I'm trying to figure out if they're trying to use themselves or if they're really asking me to help them for the Empire"

Marquis Seawell nodded loudly at the words as well.

"I see. He had tried many times to hear the sincerity of Lord Alexis. I guess that's part of it."

"That's what I mean. If rumors spread that I attended the Blacksmith Guild banquet, I can easily imagine the Lockhart family taking the time between them. In that case, the Lockhart family would be recognized as having given it to the Prime Minister. If he hadn't stabbed me with a nail, I definitely spread this story. I can advertise that I have the support of a blacksmith's guild. It prevented him from doing so."

"So what are you going to do," Uncle Rednap asks.

"There's nothing I can do. The Lockhart family is undoubtedly blinded by temporary profits and if we spread this, no, Zacharias turns to the enemy. You will never be able to use his power again without turning to your enemies. Now that he's figured it out, he's put on this condition. As far as I'm concerned, I have to talk."

Lord Seawell presents his opinion on the words.

"Not necessarily. He may have given us a chance."

"What do you mean, Lord Clement?

"You just have to build a good relationship with the Blacksmith Guild because of this. Even if you can't talk about the banquet that triggered it, you can't talk about it afterwards."

Lord Ezarrington nods, "I see."

"I mean, let the Dwarves recognize you on their own," confirms Uncle Rednapp.

"Exactly. At all costs, there is no Ignacious. He has been called a" drinking companion ”immediately by the Drexler master. I'm sorry to hear your exact opinions on what we can do if we stay here."

In contrast, Lord Ezarrington shakes his head sideways.

"I don't think so. If Ignacious had been there, Zacharias would have come up with another condition. I mean, this is a challenge that was put out to me. To find out what to think in the absence of a counselor."

Marquis Seawell and Uncle Rednap nod loudly as if convinced.

"Now we have to discuss exactly what we're going to do, especially what we're going to do now. We only have about two hours left."

When Marquis Seawell urges, Uncle Rednapp gives his opinion.

"Why don't you make the plug-in? The Paston Chamber of Commerce has a deal with the Blacksmith Guild. Whatever makes Zacharias roar, let's know what the Dwarves are going to love."

"Um," he said and nodded, "Adolphe, with immediate arrangements," he ordered Uncle Rednap.

When Uncle Rednap took his seat off, the Duke began to think with a serious look. And you start talking slightly excitedly about coming up with something.

"I came up with it in the Ignacious story. I hear Zacharias made them cook with fur free, seasonal land stuff. Then you can insert dishes made with ingredients from the land. I just don't know what it is."

"Well, let's call the head chef. It's best to leave this kind of thing to the experts. The head chef might hold his head."

A chef is summoned immediately in the opinion of Marquis Seawell, who pokes the challenge out of the Dukes.

"Is it from now on! With dozens of dwarves, humans will need two or three hundred servings. In just two hours..."

"I'm sorry, but the fate of my Ezarrington family is at stake. It may be simple. But think about it in terms of Ezarrington-like material."

As Marquis Seawell prophesied, the chef holds his head, but the Duke Ezarrington himself tells me that the fate of the Duke's house hangs and braces his belly.

"I have received some recipes from Viscount Radford. I'll take that as a reference."

Lord Ezarrington said, "Uhm. I asked for it. But keep this a secret," he said, taking the chef's hand.

When the chef returns to the kitchen, he gathers the cooks and gives them instructions.

"We're canceling dinner tonight! But another story came in quickly! Just do as I say now!

He sifted the knife himself and began cooking.
