Dream Life

Lesson 51: Report

Night of February 9th.

Me and my sister Sharon were organizing the information we gathered at the Commercial District Inn. Tomorrow the Lockhart family will arrive in the capital.

Organize by organization with the Crown Prince, Leopold Crown Prince, Commercial Guild, Mage Guild, and Blacksmith Guild. I'll have to leave this area to my sister, but I'll take a look at all the reports that have been made.

As for the information, there was no one missing, and everything was stated. However, only the results of her sister's behavior were described.

"We're missing the negotiation you made."

When I said that, you expected me to say something, and I immediately got the answer back.

"It's all over, so I don't think I need to report it now."

I felt the look on my sister's face shaking. Seems like he's falling behind in not reporting it himself.

"No. We were ordered to gather information. You should report everything, including progress."

"But I'm just worried about you and Zach. Then I guess I don't have to tell you."

My usual sister would argue with more reason, but I don't have proper reason today.

"We are scoundrels. We need to deliver accurate information to the commander, Mr. Hall, Mr. Rod, and Mr. Zach, the staff officer. Don't put our thoughts into that information. [M] This is what Master Zach always says, so you know that, don't you?

They look down at my words. [M]

"I'll take responsibility for this one. So why don't you make a proper report"

"I'm responsible! Because that's what I did on my own before your brother knew it!

A calm sister is rarely disturbed.

"I'm a Jakes man. That's what the Jakes did, so if you don't have a father, I'll have to take responsibility."

"Because!" I said, trying to argue, but I block the objection, "This is a matter of decision".

My sister still said something. I do,

"I have a report tomorrow afternoon. I'll be there in the morning to get the latest info, so I need you to summarize what's been going on tonight."

My sister whines something small to my words, but she quickly turned to the writing table.

I've figured it out in the last few days.

That means my sister needs Master Zach.

My sister was separated from Master Zach for the first time since she was considerate. It's only a few days, but for my sister, I guess I've felt it for years.

And I think that's what caused this rampage.

My sister thought about doing something on her own for Master Zach. If Master Zach had been here, he wouldn't have done anything so unscrupulous. You don't have to talk about it in detail, because Master Zach will give you precise instructions as you look at the current situation.

But there is no Master Zach here.

So my sister thought about what Master Zach would think. But if Master Zach thinks about it, he also does things that he won't do. I would never do it if it was Master Zach, such as asking everyone at Dwarf to negotiate with the Chancellor.

But my sister responded in the best way she could think to do something for Master Zach. And it's amazing that you succeeded in that.

Even my sister knows that Master Zach doesn't want that method. So I guess you don't want to report it.

When I went to ask the Blacksmith Guild about the results on the night of February 7th, Mr. Gunter told me that he was threatened the other way around that he would kill all the Dwarves in the Empire if they were enough to succumb to the threat.

My sister had taken care of it after I heard about it, but she was terribly upset.

You thought if Master Zach found out about this, he'd scold you.

Unlike usual, my sister didn't move aggressively after that. I don't think I could move.

I don't have any particular problems because I hit the informant instead, but I feel pity when I see my depressed sister. I guess you're right if you say you deserve it. But I still don't want to see my sister grieving as my brother.

If Master Zach was here, he would have stopped his sister before she ran off. No, it could be Mr. Lydia or Mel. I know that I, my brother, should stop.

But I can't stop it. That's because only one point for Master Zach is my sister's standard of judgment, and I can't stop it if it's not the Lydias who share the same values.

Even if I know that much, I feel heavy too.

Perhaps neither Miyagi nor Zach will be reprimanded strongly. Mr Lydia and Mel will praise him aggressively. Maybe only Mr. Sims scolds me for thinking the same way I do.

I think this is a tough case to deal with. But what worries me more than that is that Master Zach is in trouble.

I know exactly what I can think of.

In other words, even if our actions were for the Lockhart family and were successful, it was clear that we were going too far against your orders, and that we could never be forgiven.

But that's for Master Zach, so I think it bothers me.

Still, I want to report it honestly and ask for it to be disposed of.

Because it's going to set a bad precedent for the upcoming Lockhart family.

evening of February 10.

We arrived safely in the Imperial capital Plymouth and entered the Marquis Seawell mansion.

So far there has been no contact from either the Crown Prince or the Leopold Prince, including on the road from Seawell.

As we entered the mansion, Dan and Sharon's brothers and sisters, who had entered the Imperial City ahead of us to gather information, were waiting for us.

My father said, "Thank you for your hard work."

"I have something to report," Dan with a tenacious expression pokes at one knee. Sharon was similarly poking one knee and lowering his head wide.

(Did something taste bad?

A little anxiety is too much.

My father thought the same thing, saying, "Well, as soon as we get to the room, we'll hear the report," and walked over to Lord Seawell.

After my father leaves, he speaks to both of them in a whisper.

"What happened? I didn't hear any strange rumors on the way here."

Usually Sharon talks, but rarely Dan answers.

"I don't think there's anything that needs to be addressed in a hurry. But..."

I'm trying so hard to tell you, I just say "ok" and pound his shoulder.

"Good luck," he says, stroking Sharon's head, but she looked like she was about to cry, usually happy.

My father came right back, so I couldn't listen to him any more, but I only have a bad feeling.

I am led to my room by a maid of the Seawell family.

My father's room was suite type and I was supposed to hear the report in the living room that combined the reception room.

The only members are my father and brother, me. I didn't think it was a very large story to hear, and I suggested it to my father.

Dan and Sharon sit on the couch with a sinking expression.

"The details of the report are summarized in this," Dan said and handed his father about ten reports.

Dan bows his head big. "First, I have to apologize," he said, keeping his head down.

"I'll hear the apology later. Let me know the situation first."

Dan lifted his head to his father's words and said, "Okay," and began reporting.

"As you may already know, His Royal Highness the Crown Prince leads the Second Legion and the Fourth Legion of His Excellency the Duke of Ezarrington to march on Lukes. Already His Royal Highness the Crown Prince has made his way to the Second Regiment garrison south of the imperial capital. His Royal Highness Prince Leopold's Third Regiment will be triumphed by the Empire..."

In his explanation, the Senate decided to return the exhausted Third Regiment to the Imperial Capital to march a new Second Regiment, led by the Crown Prince, and a Fourth Regiment, led by Lord Ezzarington, because of their indulgence in the Battle of the Lukes.

The Crown Prince heads to the Second Regiment garrison and leaves after a month of training.

This training, but the Crown Prince seems to work out with Grand Duke Langton and Lord Kendrew as advisers, not to throw out the training and return to the Imperial Capital.

"... His Highness Leopold is said to be returned in the form of a triumph, with a grand ceremony. So far, neither the Grand Duke of Langton nor the Duke of Kendrew have agreed to this matter, and no action has been taken in particular…"

It was that the two Leopold Prince leaders were leaving the Imperial capital and that the Prince would never take any action.

"… the Crown Prince on the one hand, but His Excellency the Duke of Ingolslop and His Excellency the Duke of Gabiston have welcomed this decision and have good relations with His Excellency the Prime Minister's neutrals. The Spencer Branch Manager of the Commercial Guild…"

The Crown Prince has raised his hands in favor of it because of its increased combat power over the status quo and the substantial command exercised by the warrior Lord Ezarrington.

The commercial guild tried to make another move, but seems to be in a state where Lord Ingolslop and others are sealing the move because they fought alongside the neutrals.

"... As for the Mage Guild, Isherwood Branch Manager said he met Grand Duke Langton, but he didn't get anything. This is what I heard directly from the Undersecretary, Mr. Brennan."

Information on neutralists and blacksmith guilds will also be reported.

"... as for the neutrals, only the information of His Excellency the Duke of Ezarrington, but His Excellency the Chancellor intends to summon Master Zach at the right time. As for the Blacksmith Guild, the Fink Branch Manager and thirty parents have applied to see His Excellency the Chancellor and are being held back by unfair behavior towards the Lockhart family."

I didn't think, "Thirty parents with His Excellency the Chancellor..."

"Yes, a disturbing rumor circulated about five days ago, which means I communicated its authenticity and its request to be strictly dealt with as an empire"

"What are disturbing rumors like?," my father asks.

"Eh......" Dan begins to talk to me like I can't seem to say and then pick a word.

"It is a rumor that His Royal Highness the Crown Prince...... hands on Mr. Lydia and Mr. Beatrice...... Not that His Royal Highness actually said anything..."

I was more uncomfortable than angry.

Sure, the Crown Prince is famous as a woman lover, but he doesn't have too many contacts. It seems to be somewhat rumored about the appearance of the Liddies, but it's still hard to imagine we'll be talking to the Crown Prince at the bottom of the Imperial Palace.

You wouldn't know anything but Lord Ezzarington and the Chancellor who wouldn't fail to gather information, which is actually among the seniors.

"... I have an apology for this matter..." said Dan, biting his lips.

"Apologize, but tell me what happened, will you tell me that first," my father says, and my brother also urges me first, "I can't judge not listening to you".

I've never spoken a word before. I had my gaze on Sharon.

She keeps her head down and occasionally, she's shaking her shoulders.

So somehow, I thought I figured out what Dan was trying to apologize for.

"I'll talk to you from the beginning. First, we came into contact with the Commercial Guild and the Mage's Guild after the Empire..."

The Dans came into contact with the commercial guild through the Robbins Chamber of Commerce and with the Mage's guild in the name of Dr. Raspade.

I haven't had a problem so far as I was supposed to, but then the story was the problem.

They or Sharon arbitrarily conspired against Spencer Branch Manager of the Commercial Guild and Mr. Clark, the head of the next Branch Manager candidate.

Mr. Spencer was given false information that the Lockhart family would tie with the neutrals and support Prince Leopold, and Mr. Clark was threatened with using a blacksmith's guild to attack Mr. Clark personally if the commercial guild got its hands on the Lockhart family.

As a result, although Mr. Spencer circulated information to Lord Ingolslop and others, Mr. Clark was able to structure himself to stop it, and the Crown Prince succeeded in stirring up confusion and sealing the motion.

The Sorcerer Guild had Deputy Director Ansel Brennan tailored his collaborators to take action against the interests of the Guild, delaying Isherwood's action.

For this reason, his plot ends in emptiness, and Isherwood has since been completely powerless by Alliance staff savotage.

And extremes are blacksmith guild measures.

Meet Gunter Fink, Branch Manager, and circulate uncertain information that the Liddies are in danger. And let the Chancellor threaten that if they were targeted by the Crown Prince, Dwarf would pull them up from the Empire to Ars.

As a result, the Chancellor has decided to dispatch a second legion led by the Crown Prince, but has threatened the Dwarves on the contrary to kill all the Dwarves in the empire as long as they succumb to the threat.

As I listened, I began to think it was a very unsavory situation.

It would be unsavory if officials outside the blacksmith's guild found out the Lockhart family was involved. Commercial guilds will also take hostile action if they realize they have been danced.

Kilnarek, which will be a new territory in particular, is part of the Union of Urban States and has a strong influence of commercial guilds. Given the popularity of the Lockhart family (of which), you won't be able to strike an inadvertent hand, but the concern remains nonetheless.

If Speaker Worgman finds out about the Mage Guild, he doesn't know what he's going to do with this fact. So far, there are no cases where the Mage Guild would be affected, and I don't think he would act hostile, but he's the one who doesn't know what he would do if he showed a gap.

And the most dangerous being is the Prime Minister.

His information network won't make it impossible to find Sharon's behavior. It is also possible that we have already grasped the facts.

Whatever it is, Lord Ezzalington is nearby. The Duke is a respectable figure, and cooperating in the development of the territory means that a good relationship is now established, but he is nevertheless a neutral and closest to the Chancellor.

If they were to choose between the Chancellor and the Lockhart family, they would definitely choose the Chancellor.

And the Duke would realize Sharon plotted it if he grabbed some of the information, even if it wasn't complete information.

You will already know that Sharon is involved from sending a letter about the Dwarves.

(Tasty... If the Chancellor is as rumored, you have no idea what kind of demands he's going to make...)

All you can think about is that the Lockhart family belongs entirely to the Neutralists. It is still nominally supposed to be neutral, but in fact declares that it does not belong to any faction. If the prime minister can get the power of a blacksmith guild, he's likely to demand to join the faction on this one.

The next thing you know, you'll be asked to join Lord Ezarrington. I hear the neutrals are understaffed right now, so it helps me enough, too.

There are also possibilities for tougher demands to come because you're someone you haven't met yet. For example, we can even think of a demand for a blacksmith's guild to suspend trading with a commercial guild or the Kingdom of Lax.

I was thinking about that as I listened to Dan.

"... it's all my fault," Dan concluded, Sharon, who remained silent until then, hurriedly opened his mouth.

"It's not. I did it on my own. I haven't talked to my brother in advance in any way. So..."

"Okay. Let me think for a second," my father said with a wrinkle between his eyebrows, and Sharon also had to shut his mouth.

And silence dominated the scene for about a minute.
