Dream Life

Episode 65: Feast at the Duke's House: Previous

On the evening of February 12th.

I will now attend a dinner party at the Duke of Ezarrington's house.

The fact that Luna was reborn of the Japanese turned out this afternoon. And we're talking about her birth.

Apparently she was in Japan until about the same time as me. Couldn't confirm until the exact date, but it's definitely the same year.

And I'm also hearing that she was in the bow section.

All of a sudden I thought martial arts training was tough, but if it's in the name of being able to use a bow for self-defense, I think I could start training.

My parents and my brother and wife were briefed on the time they were preparing to go to dinner.

Because I didn't have time, I intend to explain the details after tomorrow, but I thought I would lack focus at the dinner party if I didn't just give an overview.

When I finished explaining, my father asked me with a serious look.

"That is. You're from the same country in the same time as you. It's just that it was a town a few hundred kilometers away, so we don't know each other... so what do you think of what lies ahead?

"In the meantime, I think it's okay to stay as it is during this journey. Training is more natural when you return to the village, and I don't want to be forced because it's finally getting brighter"

"Right. I think that's a good idea, too. I haven't healed my heart's wounds yet."

My mother agreed with me.

"Right. I can't train properly during my journey. Then you'd better focus on healing your heart's wounds."

"I agree, but what are you going to do when you get back to the village? I don't think you can fight the enemies of the gods with a bow alone."

My brother's question is best.

"I didn't check with the person, but she has a magical talent. Especially so much so that Liddy says it goes much better with the Spirit of Darkness than I do. And if you have the knowledge of the original world, you'll be able to use it if you understand a little bit of magic theory, just like me, so I'm going to do that training as well."

When I helped her, the spirits of darkness are rampant in response to her emotions. Because it shows so much affinity, I can undoubtedly use dark attribute magic.

Besides, although my physical age is only eleven years old and the start of my training is somewhat slower than normal magicians, there will be no problems.

"But you can't do it. She lost her family and friends in this world after being separated from her family in the previous world. I know it's okay if you're an adult in the previous world, like you, but I'm talking about the fact that seventeen years old in your world are just kids."

I understand my mother's concerns, so I say, "I know," and I nod.

After speaking to my parents, I will briefly explain to Liddy and the others as well. I just barely have time, so I'm only able to give an overview.

And headed to the Duke of Etherlington residence.

My partner today is Liddy. I know the Duke of Ezarrington family, and the reason is that the Duke's eyes are shining, so I don't have to worry about an incompetent person appearing to tell Liddy.

She didn't even want to come to dinner tonight.

"I don't want to be at any dinner party. It's troublesome. Beatrice, I'll leave you to it."

So much so that I said just before I went.

The truth is, I didn't want to bring Liddy to a place with a lot of people's eyes myself, but it's no good hearing that she won't be at any dinner party when it hits the First Lady.

I asked him to leave only today, and he managed to pull it out.

5: 30 p.m.

Get in the carriage and leave.

The Duke of Ezarrington Mansion is next to the Seawell Marquis Mansion, and you don't have to go out of your way to get there by carriage, and you don't need a escort, but it seems mannerly impossible to get in on foot without a escort.

It's raining today, so it's just fine, but I think it's a hassle.

We're the Lockhart family carriage, with my parents, my brother and his wife, Liddy and me on board.

In front of the Rockhart family carriage is a carriage run by the Marquis of Seawell, his son-in-law Jonas, the Viscount of Radford and his wife, and Dan and Viscount Felicia of Radford.

Dan was supposed to be walking with the Sims as an escort, but he was supposed to attend at the strong request of Lawrence, the Duke of Ezarrington.

The rain is quite the main descent, so loud is the sound of slamming the roof of the carriage. I feel bad that the shims in the escort must be a lot wet.

Arrive at the Ezarrington Mansion immediately.

It is more than one turn larger than the Seawell mansion and has a large garden, as it is also a roomy Duke's house that is an elder. Just a thick cloud-covered evening meant I couldn't see the whole beauty of the garden.

The sound of rain slamming the roof of the carriage stopped. Immediately after that, the carriage stops.

For arriving at the Duke's mansion and entering the car stop. Because the car has a roof, it is designed not to get wet when it rains.

My father escorts my mother, my brother escorts my brother-in-law Rosalie.

I'll take Liddy's hand, too, and get off the carriage. A sigh leaks from the other attendees who saw the appearance.

Her outfit today is a deep green dress with a white cape. The golden hair is knotted up and the crystal clasp I made is glowing.

The only other ornament was the Emerald ring and the Adamantite ring the Dwarves gave me, but that was rejecting and emphasizing her beauty.

When I got off the carriage, Lord and Lady Ezzarington, Mercedes, a man about twenty years of age who looked like a man, and his partner refrained behind the Duke, and beside him was a boy about twelve or three years of age who seemed to be his second son.

Laurencia and Primrose refrained behind the Lady and greeted us with an elegant grin that looked like a duke's warrant.

"Well attended, Sir Lockhart!

The Duke of Ezarrington welcomes his father out loud. It would be to make the other nobles in the front hall listen.

"We invite you today and are delighted. It's not a big deal, but please deliver the specialties in our territory"

That's how it shows the crate that's loaded behind the carriage. These are filled with a glass of crystal and a bottle of brandy I made.

We exchange brief greetings and go inside the mansion.

Several nobles are already in conversation in the entrance hall and will be led to the back room by the servants of the mansion.

I don't know anyone like I saw them, but there were a lot of people sending us a favorable glance at whether they were involved with the Ezzarington family.

Meet Marquis Seawell in the entrance hall.

Ever since Jonas, my son, was in Seawell City.

In his three years at the same high school as Laurencia, he was back in the capital while we worked out plans to improve the quality of wine and build distilleries in Seawell.

Dan is dressed in knightly clothing with the Lockhart family crest. White and gold shoulder straps and stunning long swords accentuate the Rin.

Felicia, standing next to him, is a beauty similar to her mother, Victoria.

A flashy shade of bright lemon yellow dress and blue cape, but when she wears it slurry and tall, she looks classy for some reason.

Dan and grand Felicia's take on the feeling of soldering had also received a favorable gaze from the invitees.

Lord Seawell approached me and started laughing and talking to me.

"I'll surprise Lord Alexis with this evening's wine. Follow Us"

Apparently, Lord Ezarrington hasn't even given it a taste yet.

As I smile bitterly, Viscount Radford laughs, "I don't know if I do, but the Miyagi unexpectedly likes these mischievous things".

It's called Lord Ezzalington, it's called Lord Seawell, and he seems to like these surprises for senior nobility.

Guided by a servant dressed in black dress, he enters the Great Hall.

It is a hall where more than a hundred people can meet at once, with high ceilings and beautiful tapestries coloring the walls.

The thick columns that support the high ceilings have large lighted demonic props that emit soft light, and the light of the small demonic props at each table is like candles, creating a sight that can be considered fantastic, combined with the flowers to be decorated on the table and the figure of a lady and gentleman dressed in a dress.

"That's amazing. Ezarrington Castle was awesome too, but it's even more awesome here. I don't know what to say, so it's just amazing..."

Liddy is squealing.

"Right. I'm convinced the Duke is one of the rulers of the Empire."

Without knowing her whining, I was answering that.

Six of the Lockhart family stood still, including my father, but the servant coughed up with Cohon and drew our attention. And I was urged to take a seat.

Our seats were at the same table as the House of the Duke of Etherlington.

It's a broken treatment for a knight who plans to become a Viscount, but no one is questioning it, either because he started the Chancellor and knows that many Dukes are paying attention.

In front of my father and mother, the Duke and his wife Ezarrington, in front of my brother and his wife, and in front of me and Liddy, Laurencia, Primrose, and my second son sit.

Laurencia and Primrose are dressed in gorgeous dresses and feel more luscious than usual. My second son's boy is a beautiful blonde and slightly feminine looking pretty boy, but he feels strongly riddled with blue based clothing that mimics an imperial army uniform, decorated with white shoulder bands diagonally from his shoulders.

Laurencia, with a smile, spoke to me.

"I hear your sister is still bothering you today."

"No, I don't consider it annoying or anything. Because I am a valued customer who deliciously enjoys what I have made."

"That's right, sister. There's nothing wrong with Zacharias and me."

Is the second son's boy a pull-in idea for the boys in the Duke of Ezarrington family, or is he not joining the story?

"My name is Zacharias Lockhart. This is my wife, Lydiane."

Introducing yourself, while odding slightly,

"Lucien Ezarrington, the second son of Alexis Ezarrington. Regards."

"Lucien is a sophomore in elementary school. I'm studying to be a general of the Imperial Army."

You didn't see my brother who just said his name and couldn't keep talking, Primrose follows.

Use the topic to talk.

"I see. What kind of military men are you aiming for?

"I'm studying to be a good general like your father. I'm just getting started..."

Two years in elementary school means I'm thirteen.

One older than my brother Theo, but more passive than I thought. He's probably confused because he's never been with anyone in his position like us.

"Sir Zacharias has a great knowledge of the military as well. I wish you could teach me that too."

Laurencia tells me so, and I say yes, but I don't really get the guidelines.

I don't feel hostile or uninterested.

(Hi. It feels like I can't get my head up on my two sisters, so do you care because I might be their fiancée?

I was thinking about that, but Lord Ezarrington stood up, so I'll pay attention to you.

"Tonight is a feast to welcome the brave Lockhart family. And it is also an easy-going feast of our only gates..."

So I sent my gaze to Lord Seawell,

"Marquis Seawell has me plugged in“ supreme ”wine. They say that Radford was stunned."

So I laugh niggly.

"I can't say it out loud, but I mean it will be offered to His Majesty tomorrow. I mean, even His Majesty hasn't been spoken of yet. Let's enjoy that supreme wine to the fullest tonight!

So the servants pour white wine into silver goblets at the same time.

"Let's toast first with the white wine of my Etherlington! God bless His Majesty the Emperor and the Empire! Cheers!"

The chanting of those present in the Duke's voice continues.

"" Cheers!

I say the same toast, and I list the goblets.

And it contained white wine in its mouth but was adjusted to exquisite temperatures.

The Duke, who finished the head of the toast, is looking at me in a good mood.

"I wonder, what's the temperature today?

"Perfect. Temperature with exquisite aromas and refreshing acidity of Ezarrington wines"

"You finally got the point," breaks the rapport.

I thought this was a gesture and added further comments.

"I might have enjoyed the aftertaste of a glass with a slightly blurred mouth rather than a goblet with an open mouth at all costs"

In my words the Duke laughs, "Can't I still get a full score on this?" You seemed right in the gesture.

As the Duke thought, the sons and wives, the Lycians, and even more nobles who heard this conversation, are equally astonished.

"Isn't it disrespectful to have an opinion of your father," Lucien has said, but soon he is embarrassed by Primrose, who is next door.

"Master Zacharias is called the son of a liquor god. Your father knows about it, and he fully adopts Zacharias' opinions on improving the quality of wine in the Territory. That's why you're thinking about what you're going to say."

"Rose is right. Lord Zacharias even to His Excellency the Chancellor, enough to give his opinion on the alcohol story. Your father doesn't want to be a minister, he wants to be an ally. You explained that."

The two sisters continue to scold me, and Lucien is depressed.

"No, now the word is a little over. Lord Lucien said to protect the Duke's authority. Nothing wrong."

When I follow up like that, Laurencia tells me not to spoil my brother.

Somehow, I know where he stands.

Steven, the son, is the prime minister's secretary and, after gaining knowledge as a civilian, inherits the Duke's family.

Meanwhile, his second son, Lucien, could serve the Empire as a martial officer and, if successful, be the head of a fourth legion stationed in the city of Ezarrington in the future.

Just because of my passive personality, I guess my two sisters are worried and keep breaking (the pressure).

After the toast, the conversation begins in a soothing atmosphere, with the voice Gayagaya echoing in the hall.

Thus began the feast to welcome the Lockhart family.
