Dream Life

Episode 67: Feast at the Duke's House: The Later Story

The dinner party at the Duke of Etherlington's house was going smoothly.

There is so little talk of political entanglement that I don't think of it as a senior noble dinner party, such as when it comes to wines chosen by the Duke along the way.

"You can leave for a dinner party like this," so much so that Liddy's squeaking.

Even though he said he didn't want to go to the end before he left, it's probably because he doesn't have any gastronomy, wine, or even a carefree atmosphere.

And the main dish came out. The servants will serve dishes at each table.

Even bigger wine glasses are arranged.

"The main wine of the day is the red wine from the Marquis of Seawell. I haven't seen the flavor yet either, so I don't know how much it is, but it's a wine that Lord Clement called" Seawell's Treasure "and Radford ran out of“ supremacy ”. The dish prepared Radford and Zacharias for their opinion."

So the Marquis Seawell stood up and began to explain.

"Let me briefly explain until we have all the food and wine. Today's wines are the magical maturation of the Mulan village wines in our territory by Zacharias. I myself, when I mouthed this wine, was overwhelmed by the velvety smoothness and aromatic aroma of black grapes. My stomach, Ignacious, is so incredible that I also said my tongue was incredible. I am proud to say that it is precisely the treasure of Seawell, the supreme wine…"

I think the attendees are overwhelmed and a little overwhelmed.

"... if you don't believe my words, once you taste them, you'll understand."

That's what I said and sat down.

The dish that came out is a roast lamb. Boned rose meat braised with vanilla and salt is carefully cooked in the oven, accompanied by a beautiful rosé coloured meat with a dark purple red wine sauce.

"Then let's taste it!" The glass is lifted simultaneously in the words of the Duke.

The glass I prepared this time was a Bordeaux type glass I made and I gave it to the Seawell family. That's the form I lent to the Duke of Ezarrington's house for using it for dinner tonight.

There are about ninety people present this time. I give about a hundred legs to the Seawell family, but if I include what I give to the royal family, I make over two hundred.

I didn't give it to the Ezzarington family I take care of because I didn't originally think it would be like this one and I couldn't afford the extra time to make it.

The moment I put my mouth on the glass, the attendees said, "This is!," or, "What flavor!" The sentimental voice rises.

The Duke can't let go of a glass like this.

The Lockhart family facades have had many drinks, so there was no reaction that far and they had tasted the main dishes served.

"This sheep is really delicious. Is it because it's a better sheep than what you eat in the village?

"There's that, too, but it's more time than that. Still no odor at all because it is from a couple of weeks of milk drinking when I was born. It is exquisitely baked and finished with a stunning sauce. I think it's a perfect roast lamb."

As the Duke said, this dish was supervised by Viscount Radford and me. Even so, I just came up with an idea, which the Viscount pretty much explains to the chef.

By the way, it's a little early for dairy sheep.

I contacted them in advance by letter, but even though they were the Dukes of Ezarrington, they had a hard time getting this many.

"I didn't think so, Lord Clement."

The Duke speaks to the Seawell Marquis.

"This is Seawell's treasure as well as the treasure of the Empire. I'd love to have it turned around at home."

"Of course, I'll give it to Lord Alexis. However, the low number of productions and the fact that Zacharias' magic relies on it now. It's only ten years from now that we can sell it steadily."

"That's a shame. But this is one dish that draws a line with previous Seawell wines. Is this also by Zacharias," the Duke asks Marquis Seawell.

"Yeah, you're right. His wife Beatrice was the first to notice when she was inspecting the site where the distillery was to be built."

"Speaking of Beatrice, weren't you the user of the divine spear? I can't believe she..."

The Duke cannot hide his surprise because of the strong image of the fierce.

"Yeah, I couldn't believe it when I first heard it either. When I heard the story, Ignacious, of course, even Zacharias, didn't realize it at first. If you were a beast with a good nose and a Beatrice who drank beauty with Zacharias on a daily basis, you would only have noticed."

"I see. So, can you tell me the secret of this wine"

That's what I say and laugh at you.

Marquis Seawell smiled the same way,

"You already know Lord Laurencia and Lord Primrose, so you can't help but hide them. But you'd better let Zacharias explain it than I do."

That's what he said, he sent me an eye-catcher.

I stand up for it with courtesy.

"It's food and wine in the corner, so listen with pleasure. First of all, the greatest characteristic of this Moulin village wine is found in the grapes…"

Geographical and climatic stories of the Marquis of Seawell, etc. will be shared and explained.

"... the Marquis of Seawell territory lies in a basin with relatively large rivers flowing. We are wondering if its unique topography and climate have created new grapes… the greatest characteristic of this grape is its aromatic aroma and richness. However, when aging is weak, it is hidden in strong acidity and tannins, and its true value cannot be demonstrated. This time, my magic facilitated maturation, but I consider it a grape of potential so much that I don't know how much potential it has…"

And I'll add one last word.

"This time, I stumbled upon a wine that should be called this supreme. There is also the idea that it was made of special conditions: the Marquis of Seawell territory, but there may be wines in other territories with endless possibilities. But it's comical and you can't find it. If we are to be desired, we must strive to find it. But that's not enough. Grow it and ship it in optimal condition. It's going to take a lot of effort."

Everyone was listening.

"Wine is something I enjoy, so I can't help talking about it any more. Nice to meet you, Duke."

I speak forcefully to the Duke because nobody tries to move their hands.

"Oh, yeah. So why don't we all have a nice drink!

Everyone moves into the Duke's words.

"Did I say something too much," asks Liddy.

"It's always the same thing. It's just frightening," she said gently.

This time, by the way, we have added five years of maturation. Fifteen years is overwhelmingly tastier, but suddenly it's too strong an impact to serve fifteen years, so I make it five years at dinner.

Other reasons were that this much strength was better to go with the dish.

Most of all, Lord Ezarrington has been given several fifteen years.

Thirty of those five-year items are available this time.

Percentage of one in three, but quickly gone.

Today's dessert is a wine jelly made even by Seawell. Today, however, it is made of white wine.

"It's jelly made from Etherlington wine. I wondered if I could use it this way myself, but Primrose strongly recommended it, so I decided to do this."

That's what the Duke says and lifts the jelly.

Because of the use of white wine with slightly darker eyes, it was finished with something as beautiful as melting gold under the warm colored light of a lighted demon prop.

"Beautiful," he said, from attendees who took a bite. "This is delicious. That's Master Primrose," he says in praise.

Primrose responds to the words with a smile.

"I'm just referring to what Dear Zacharias made at Seawell. Seawell's red wine jelly was also beautiful and delicious."

I heard "Is this Sir Zacharias too".

Subsequently, brandy is available for those who wish, and a small amount of chocolate is added to those knobs.

A heavy crystal brandy glass with a brilliant amber brandy surface.

The chocolate wasn't meant to be served, but this was also to be served with the strong hope of Primrose.

"It's a sin not to spread all this sweetness to the world."

"I intend to cede the manufacturing laws to His Highness the Viscount of Radford," he said, trying gently to say no.

"I'll take care of the Viscount. We think we need to put in place a production system as soon as possible, including in the case of magicians."

To hear more about it, they don't intend to profit from chocolate sales, but simply cooperate with the Viscount because they want to eat them.

In the end, Viscount Radford also seemed to be pleading with Primrose and not being able to say no.

I'm confused as to whether it's probable or not, but I admire the audacity that seems to be the Duke's Lady in a way.

It's a combination of brandy and chocolate, but it didn't work at all at first. Lord Ezarrington also became fond of brandy after we gave it to him, but he didn't have the idea of a sweet knob, and he was picking cheese and such.

"Thanks for making sweetness a pinch of booze, but I can't resist it."

Not often in this world do you pinch sweet ingredients, including dried fruit. He showed off a combination of Ars black beer and dried fruit at last year's Dwarf Festival, but so much so that he was first seen with a strange face.

When I confidently recommend it, the Duke loses his curiosity and includes bitter chocolate shards in his mouth after drinking brandy.

subtle expression at first, but immediately raised the voice of "ho,"

"I see. It goes well with this brandy scent. I heard this was also the sweetness that Sir thought of."

"Yes, I'm sure His Excellency Viscount Radford will be handling the manufacturing in the future,"

The Duke turned to Viscount Radford,

"You just have no eyes, sir. If we can sell this exclusively, we will definitely get huge amounts of wealth."

That's what the Duke says, but he doesn't actually think he'll make that much money.

First, it is difficult to secure raw materials.

Cacao production is around Cheslock in the south of the Wale Peninsula, where the Imperial capital Plymouth is located, to the extent that very small cultivation takes place.

It is normal given that it is distributed as a nourishing medicine, but treating it as an ingredient requires an increase in the scale of production.

I don't know how many years it will take to expand production in Cacao, but it won't be easy to expand production in places that aren't even my own territory.

In addition, even if sold explosively, the cost of raw materials increases if the raw materials, cocoa, cannot be treated exclusively, resulting in smaller profits.

Apparently, the Viscount has an exclusive agreement with a vendor who deals with cocoa immediately about Imperial Capital, and he also signed a long-term contract.

So far, it seems that the vendor has bought cocoa, fermented it and commercialized it, thus securing the raw materials for the moment. But it is obvious and alarming that other vendors will get their hands on it if they find it profitable.

In response to that word, not the Viscount, Primrose argues.

"Can't your father see how sweet this is? Viscounts are manufactured to give happiness to all, not wealth. That's right."

With a bitter smile, the Viscount replied, "You are right,"

"This chocolate ingredient has endless possibilities. You should be able to use it for cooking as well as sweetness. I wanted to keep it under control so that I wouldn't make crappy things, and I thought I'd make them exclusively."

Beginning with the Duke, many were smiling at the exchange.

It will then be time for a welcoming, with many attendees visiting the Duke's table, at which time they will also exchange greetings with the Lockhart family.

Most of the attendees were favorable, but some came with unfavorable eyes.

Those are the young princes who were after Laurencia's engagement to Primrose.

If you marry the immediate lady of the Ezarrington family, who is said to be the next Prime Minister and an elder, your birth within the imperial government is promised. For this reason, many of the Count and Viscount men wanted to be engaged to them.

But Laurencia told academia that Primrose was only interested in sweetness and neither of us was positive about marriage. They knew they were going to be engaged to me, and they sent me a sight closer to hostility.

That won't be the only reason. There must be Liddy's presence next door.

Not only is she beautiful when she enters the mansion, but also when she enters the venue, she is so beautiful that she has an emotional voice.

Even though I'm just jealous that I'm married to her like that, there are even rumors with the Duke's house courtier that not only comes with more beauty, but even power.

If that was a noble capacity like the prince, I would still have forgiven him, but his opponent is only the second son of a knight.

It's impossible to say not to be jealous of your princes around twenty.

Still, it seemed to be a gateway to the Duke of Ezarrington's house, and there was not a single person who said he hated it. Well, the Duke himself is in front of me, but I can't even tell you.

The dinner party was successfully concluded.
