Dream Life

Episode 5: The Most Powerful Mercenary

morning of May 12th.

At the Mercenary Guild training ground, I met Gideon Dyer, a former first-degree mercenary known as "Swordmaster" and “The Most Powerful Mercenary”.

Beatrice was working with him, but instead of paying off one arrow, he lost with little skill to make it up.

His wife Francesca then appeared, and two of them, Theophilus and Seraphine, were mentored.

Francesca is a bright woman in her early forties, with the atmosphere of a prestigious lady general if she is not equipped, but her strength is level 68 shameless to the wife of a first-degree mercenary. He was a third-degree mercenary called a first-rate mercenary.

I don't know if the innate kindness or the appearance of Theo and the others influenced them, but they have carefully taught their shortcomings even as they were attenuated, and despite a small amount of time of instruction, their movements are so much better that they are visible.

"Now, let me show you the strength of the Darkness Swordsman."

Gideon says that and laughs niggly. But shortly afterwards, he slaps Francesca in the back of the head and relaxes.

"What are you talking about, you! No matter how much, we won't talk one-on-one. Do it two to one with the redhead lady there."

What she says is fine.

My swordsman level is only forty-eight. If Beatrice, a level 64 player, deals with Gideon, who had no hands or legs, he will be killed instantly.

That's why if you ask me if I can handle it when it's two to one, I'll have to say no. Because there are no examples of two to one fights against my grandfather at level 82.

Still, if you're to be killed instantly, you can prevent it.

"Oh, that doesn't matter. No, that might be more interesting. I don't care what kind of hand you use."

The niyanya laugh that floated in Gideon's face doesn't go away. Quite a battle junkie.

When I send Mel a signal with my eyes, I nod small. We don't need words because we've been together for over ten years.

The two of us head to the middle of the training ground. In doing so, he calls out, "I'll do whatever I want."

"Yes! So you're as usual!" and a cheerful voice returned.

Gideon also slowly walks into the center of the training ground. I don't see it coming, but I feel a lot of pressure (pressure) just coming closer.

I remember Vlad Varonos, the King of the Dead, who attacked the village.

(That's close to the pressure then. No, I was feeling terrified so strongly then, so subtly different? You feel purely powerful this time. Glad you had Mel. Alone, I may have been unable to move before I fought...)

I feel the pressure my grandfather or Walt Vassel has never felt even on my opponent, and my legs are about to snap.

"Anytime. You can let the magic shoot you first if you want," I said, looking behind you for a moment to see if you felt something. And correct your remarks immediately.

"Oh, no, what. If they destroy the training ground, I'll have to pay for it, so do it with a lot of power."

Looks like I corrected my remarks when I saw Francesca staring behind me. There was a slight relaxation of tension in his appearance.

"Now let me show you some interesting magic," he says, forcing a grin as if he could afford it.

And cast a spell in a slow tone.

"It is the god of the wind (Wentus) who brings many winds. Explode and give me air. I will not give you the power of my life. Defeat my enemy! Explosive Balloons!

Ten transparent balloons pop out of my right hand feeling like pompoms, slowly drifting closer to Gideon.

"What the hell?" Gideon raises his bare voice.

Ignore it and cast more spells. Now hit and change like earlier and chant at high speed.

"Supporting all the earth, God of the earth (Reams). Give me a spear that strengthens the power of your family, the Spirit of the earth, and pierces the heavens. I do not give my life to you. Pierce my enemies! Spear of the earth (Rockspeare)!"

The moment you finish casting the spell, put your right hand on the ground.

Shortly thereafter, twelve rock spears extend up from the ground around Gideon. It is about ten centimetres in diameter and two metres long, with the tip shaped flat.

"Mel, let's go!," he says, rushing out to the right. Mel runs to the opposite left, creating a pinched shape.

The rock spear grows in momentum, but it doesn't do him any damage, it's like a simple cage that inhibits movement.

I expected that if I didn't aim directly, I wouldn't have avoided it, but as I expected, Gideon didn't move off the spot just to see how it went.

The spacing was just over fifteen centimetres, as I put out a rock spear to draw a circle about a meter in diameter. This should restrict the opponent's movement somewhat. No amount of amazing mercenaries can smash rock columns with a wooden sword.

Although Gideon alerts both magic and us, he speaks out in amazement.

"Multiple simultaneous activations of magic! That's one genius a thousand years! Besides, it's hard to get all these rockspires out."

That being said, vigilance continued, following the movements of both Mel and me.

I tell him I'm going to jump with my hand sign, and right after that I'm going to jump using demon fighting. The aim is Gideon's position two meters above the head.

As soon as Mel gets my signal, she bursts into it. The posture was low, the sword pulled back, but the cutting edge was straight towards the target.

The aim is a crossfire between left and right and up and down. Furthermore, building a rock spear or pillar inhibits the opponent's movement.

It's me jumping up, but not just swinging my sword down from the top as it is.

Throw a Kunai-shaped throwing sword at him to restrain him and divert him from Mel's attack.

"That's a troublesome attack," he says, but avoids by slightly shifting his body from the gap between rock spears, and at the same time plays Mel's sharp attack protruding at his feet, using a wooden sword in a smooth motion that doesn't make him feel like it's a narrow space.

The movement is supposed to be inhibited by the rock pillars, but I see no impact at all.

Shortly after I play Mel's attack, my attack strikes him in the head.

Was this attack read from the beginning, waving a wooden sword out of its shape like a lower erection, trying to intercept me?

But I didn't go for it honestly either. I know if I fall straight, I'll be targeted, so I'm delicately off track with the magic of the breeze. Due to this movement, his attack was inhibited and slightly deviated by the pillars of the rock. Still plays my sword and plunders my shoulders even more.

I'll kick the rock pillar and land at Baku Ze's command.

A series of attacks has been taken lightly.

But this is within the assumption. In fact, I used this operation on my grandfather, but it didn't work at all. So I didn't expect to succeed this time either. I just wanted to see how much movement I could make.

For once, within the limits of my assumptions, I have yet to let all of my strengths come out.

When I try to get close to hitting the lead again, I say, "Now let me get you out of here," and I shake the wooden sword and smash the rock pillars.

"Why are the pillars of the rock..." he exclaims.

Byron Seedorf, one of the best Rigid Swordsmen in the Lockhart family, has smashed rocks with Adamantite's sword, but what Gideon has is just a wooden sword for training. My lockspeare is tough enough to be made into building materials, not something as nasty as being easily broken with a wooden sword.

Coming out of the cage of rocks, Gideon turns to Mel in divine speed motion. Seeing that move, he managed to return it to me.

I suddenly lost myself for a moment, but Mel was calm all the time. He decided he couldn't keep up with his movements and was jumping beside him without hesitation.

"It's a good decision," he says satisfactorily, turning the target into me.

At that time, the Ixplosive Balloon, the first blast I unleashed, was drifting around me.

"What the fuck is that?," he said, turning a frigid gaze,

"Fair enough. You just have to bust it," he says and goes in.

That speed is faster than the state I'm in. Still instantly retreats in the backstep and takes the distance.

He followed me further and went right under the balloon.

Immediately thereafter, all balloons explode simultaneously. The shock is enormous enough to wiggle the walls and roofs of the training ground.

Me and Mel are wearing "Dwarf's joyous voice-proof earplugs," with little impact, but the young mercenaries are squatting with their ears held.

Gideon, who was supposed to have been the most damaged, but stopped by surprise at the blast and blast, but he was spying on me without cutting his focus.

He said, "You'll do it," and tried to penetrate me again.

I decided to use another trump card there.

Take advantage of the moment when Gideon penetrates, injecting magic into his left shoulder.

Shortly afterwards, the Demonic Crystal Stone, planted on the left shoulder clasp of Black Dragon's armor, emits a flashy strong light.

Gideon seemed surprised by this trick, too, and said, "Oh!" Raise your voice and stop your legs.

This was asked by the Ars armor maker Georg Stoke to put it on, and I modified the magic props of the lights. It consumes less magic and is a very effective ambush for first-sighted opponents, but it is only equipped with my armor because it cannot be used with many allies.

Shortly after Gideon was frightened, Mel slashed him from behind.

I'm sure we could have won this.

At the next moment, the certainty broke even brittle.

Did Gideon feel the signs, avoiding Mel's attack with her back turned and striking her back further forward? Mel was slammed to the ground and stopped moving.

During that time, he never opened his eyes.

I'm surprised by that fact, but if I only have a chance now, I'm heading for the attack, too. Bottom up your speed with the magic martial arts and press for minimal movement to avoid further signs.

He lowered his sword and went into battle wanting to hit only one machete at the defenseless man shaking his head.

Stretch the bastard-shaped wooden sword sharply and straight. The moment I thought I'd hit the cutting edge, Gideon's appearance shifted and disappeared from my sight.

Shortly after I thought I'd gone, I had a strong shock to my back and lost my mind.

I don't know how long it's been, but I wake up with the soft magic of Liddy's healing magic.

"How long have you been out of your mind?," he said.

"Maybe a minute. I think the bones are fine, but do something about the rest yourself. And Mel's been shocked in the gut, so heal him properly."

That's all I said, I slowly walked away.

Next to me was Mel, who was put to sleep in the same way, looking at me with a crisp smile.

"You didn't stand a tooth at all"

"Right. I thought I could put a knife in it... not Beatrice, but the world is huge. I didn't know it didn't work at all after all that nonclapping attack..."

To be honest, I regret what I regret. But if you lost after doing what you could do, you can't help it. Of course, I can tell you this because it's a mock fight.

There was a slight pain in my back when I woke up. Liddy's healing magic seems to be almost healing him, but he may still have damage to his gut or nerves.

When I hung the healing magic with images of healing my guts and nerves, the pain disappeared.

Mel says he's eating the same blow, so hang the healing magic the same way.

Gideon talked to me at the end of the treatment.

"And that's funny"

"I had no hands or feet at all," she said, naturally smiling bitterly.

"No, I'm entertained. I didn't think you'd struggle with such a young man. Can you tell me what you did if you like"

"Yeah, I don't mind, but I need to finish before I do."

That's what I'm saying. I'm heading to the middle of the training ground. The young mercenaries were touching the pillars of the rock with petals.

"A magician can easily make something like this," said a young man named Jay, who first got involved.

"Yeah, it's not that hard for a magician who's over level fifty."

"A Level Fifty Mage? Oh, how old are you?

"I'm sixty one because I'm best at earthly attributes," he says, turning the rock pillars into sand.

Mercenaries were opening their mouths to my words and their sights.

"I see. With all that level, you should be able to do all that magic. Well, I've never seen a guy use two magics at the same time."

Explain in the face that Gideon was convinced by the surprised Jays.

"By the way, how old is swordsmanship? I know it's better than me..."

"It's forty-eight...... it's forty-nine! Looks like he went up in a mock fight right now. Six months..."

Just in case you checked the orb, you were on a higher level.

I haven't had enough training time and level since this trip, but it looks like I finally got up here because I did a mock fight on over level 100 opponents.

"Level 49… one step ahead of level 4…"

From what I've checked in the orb, Mel and the others confirm the same.

"It's up! You're at level fifty-three! ♪ And I like Mel, ♪

"Me too!" and Theo raises his voice of joy. Furthermore, Serra expresses her joy by making sure she jumps up as well.

"Me too! I'm finally at level 21!

But right after that, he said, "But not at all compared to Brother Zach or Sister Mel. I want to be strong soon," he said, flashing his surroundings.

"This kid is level 21... I think I'll quit the mercenary..."

Such a voice rises from the young mercenaries.

"What are you talking about! You guys!" Francesca drinks.

"Levels aren't the only value of mercenaries! That's what matters, how you can properly accomplish your request. Right, you!

Gideon, suddenly told the story, "Oh, yeah," he hammers.

"And that's a lame level. I've heard that Lockhart training is tough, but that's it..."

Francesca said so with a frightened face, but she was stroking her head when she said she liked Theo and Serra, "But I look forward to the future if you're that level at that age".

After that, we will explain the magic and how to attack it.

"I see......" Gideon admires, but doesn't mind being admired because he's easily avoided all of it.

He took a short break and was fully coached by Gideon and Francesca.

Unlike my grandfathers training, it was a meaningful time to get them to modify their subtle habits or teach them new moves, although not all in real life formats.

I'm also asking about that rock crushing move.

"My rock pillars are supposed to have the same strength as the walls, how did you crush them?

"Oh, that... I don't know what the other guys call it, but I call it" fighting. ”When you put that fighting spirit together in your sword, you can slash iron and rock with a blunt sword…"

I send my gaze to Beatrice and Liddy, but they don't seem to know either of them and they're shaking their necks sideways.

"Is it a struggle... is it like magic?

"I don't know. Besides me, I can use Hamish in Fonce, but it doesn't mean he can use magic, either. Mercenaries like me don't know..."

Hamish is Hamish Markut, the leader of the Fonce based Mercenary Corps of the Kingdom of Lax (Red Arms), the best mercenary in the Kingdom of Lax. My brothers are super celebrities who know it too.

When I heard more about it and had it demonstrated in front of me, I somehow found out who I was.

I got confirmation from Liddy, who sees the power of the Spirit, but the power of the Spirit is not acting. Therefore, it is likely that you are directly converting the magic power in your body into attack power.

"It's magic in your body... I don't know, but it's only after you've gone beyond level eighty that you can use it consciously. Don't you think Lord Govan can use the Lionheart?

When they said that, my grandfather could also unleash incredibly powerful slaughter.

(Is it like a kind of demon fighting technique?... you need research when you get back to the village...)

That happened, but it seemed like a meaningful time not only for me, but also for the other members.

Dan and Sharon's swordsmanship levels, where the sword is not the Lord, have also risen, and even more so Beatrice, who has not been instructed by spears directly, has been leveled at the end.

Elena and Sophia had also increased their level, with Liddy and everyone but Luna who did not attend the training.

"It must be a coincidence, but it's amazing," said Liddy, who was trained but just didn't get to the level of one, "anyway, it's just me..." and was teasing me to write the ”of" letter.

"You have no choice, 'cause you're skipping your usual training."

"Yes, but......" Are you conscious, I stopped saying anything more.
