Dream Life

Episode 63: The War of Exhaustion

After 3pm on March 28th.

The enemies of the gods, winged demon-like men, have used powerful magic.

Liddy screams when she sees the power of the Spirit during the magic activation.

"Look at that! There's a lot of power coming together! No, you have to run!

That huge pitch-black sphere even I feel a disastrous force, with nature and body trembling. Sharon, next door, also had his hand in his mouth, trying not to scream.

"Liddy! Sharon! I'm gonna shoot that ball down!

Instinctively, I felt that that force was useless even though it was a misrill-coated shield. That much power was overflowing.

"Everybody, evade! It's dangerous just to plunder! Pay attention!"

Though he shouts so, his grandfathers are in a deadly battle with the Ground Dragon (Land Dragon) and cannot afford to look up above.

But even as we fought hard, my grandfather watched closely.

"Use the dragon as a shield! The enemies are also great at attacking every ally!

Avoid magic by daring to approach the Grounddragon. It's the right choice in terms of avoiding magic, but it's a dangerous bet to dare go into the tiger's mouth.

"We can't make it!" Hector's sad voice echoes.

While we prepare our magic, the pitch-black sphere is unleashed towards the ground.

The giant dark sphere falls at a slow rate at first, dispersing over about fifty meters into hundreds of small spheres.

Immediately afterwards, it pours down at a rate that is confusing with the meteor.

It was the grandfathers avant-garde who were targeted.

Hundreds of pitch-black spheres head for the ground dragon. But if you look closely, it was radial, gradually spreading from the center.

As my grandfather said, neither did the enemy seem to have any idea of sacrificing the ground dragon.

A pitch-black sphere pours in silence like a waterfall.

I heard some screams.

I don't know if the magic hit me or if the ground dragon attack hit me. But we are only certain that there have been victims on the Lockhart family side.

Grounddragons are fighting their grandfathers, even though vast amounts of power are pouring down from above them, regardless. As a dragon breed, it's a less intelligent category, but it seems like you understand it's harmless to you.

A pitch-black sphere poured over a radius of about ten meters around the ground dragon. They didn't fall around the ground dragon as if they had measured it, can't confirm behind the ground dragon, but they poured it down in a doughnut shape.

When the magic broke off, the three of them were down.

It's Sid, my grandfather's squad squad squire squire squire squad squad squad squad squad squad squad squad squad squad squad squad squad, and Ricky, Beatrice's squad squad squad squad squad squad squad squad squad squad squad. Sid is blown away by a magical direct hit of what he put up his shield, and Ricky and Buddy have been hit by the tail of a ground dragon and have been flown for more than a few meters.

Has he hit Byron in any other way, with his sword as a cane and a single knee poked at him? His protective gear is made of Mithril, but he still couldn't erase the magical power.

"Stay back a little!" Grandfather commands Byron.

Byron said, "Don't worry! I just plundered!" He shouted and stood up, restarting his sword.

Meanwhile, the Lockhart family warriors continue to attack the ground dragons fleshly.

My grandfather aims for his neck from the front as he gives instructions, and my brothers Rodrick and Nicholas put their swords on their flanks many times.

Mel circled further back than his brothers, slashing and tearing his rear leg with a magically wrapped sword.

Beatrice and the magicians had also unleashed pokes on the flanks of a relatively thin defense while avoiding a swinging tail.

Still, the ground dragon doesn't even show a bare gesture of falling.

Sprinkling bright red blood, they are still raging around trying to bring down the Lockhart family warriors.

Highly skilled men like my grandfather, my brother, and Walt are not in danger, but the squire has been plundered by the attack of the Grounddragon many times, a situation that is not strange whenever the next falls off.

Fortunately, my grandfathers approached me to stick, so I'm not showing the bare gesture of releasing the braces.

We're not even watching the rear guards relax.

Sharon is attacking the head of an enemy with the magic of a powerful arrow (Gael Arrow) with a long range. Liddy was dedicated to attacking the demons with the Hectors because of the lack of magic to reach them.

And it was me, but I switched to launching an attack on the Ground Dragon.

The most dangerous enemy is the head, but even the trump card, Lightning of Lucidus, does not work at all and is difficult to defeat as long as you are in the air.

I can only think of a way to defeat him by pulling him down on the ground and letting his sword and spear wrap his magic around him and attack him.

Even on the ground, we can quickly escape into the air on this occasion. We'll have to pull into the basement where the space is limited.

To do this, first defeat the grounddragon and make it look like you'll buy time to escape underground on top of it.

If you escape underground, only Hydra will remain the enemy's ground power, so you will have limited means to attack from the outside.

The only way to do this is to use poison and other tricks, or blow up every underground fortress with powerful magic.

As far as behavior goes before, I am confident in my own power, I am unlikely to use a praiser, and I am likely to come aboard.

"Use Light God's Thunder of Lucidus again! Guy and Dan need my backup!

That's all I command, I cast a spell immediately.

When you activate the magic in about thirty seconds, you do the amplification. Strong light leaks all around me, and the demons gaze at me.

I send my gaze over the sky to make it look like I'm going to shoot into the enemy's head, too.

The demons started releasing magic at me to keep the magic from activating. But unlike before, instead of shooting magic while staying in the air, they release magic while flying at high speeds.

For this reason, I had switched to the Dark Arrow instead of the Dark Spear (Dark Lance) that I had been unleashing. I guess because I can't muster the power of the Spirit.

This situation is not convenient for the archers of the Lockhart family. We train to hit moving targets, but with faster speeds, the difficulty is much higher. Because of this, it looks like we could afford the demons we were able to tow until then.

The head of the enemy seems to be sending his gaze to me, but he doesn't look particularly concerned. I guess you're going to play it the same way you did earlier even when you flew in on yourself.

He seems more concerned about the battle on the ground than that, and seems to be thinking about unleashing new magic.

As I was preparing for my magic, my enemies also began to gather the power of the Spirit to unleash new magic. Contrary to me, it's a dark attribute, and it looks like he's going to unleash his earlier magic again.

Amplified to maximum output in about a minute. Turn your gaze from the sky into a ground dragon. And he unleashed his magic all at once toward the ground dragon's brow.

A dazzling white light is sucked into the ground dragon's brow.

The good thing about this magic is that it doesn't have the madness of dimensions where I've decided to aim, it flies straight. I can also focus my consciousness on targeting, and I don't need to aim like a flying tool.

Ground dragon eyebrows instantly raise smoke. The ground dragon began to shake his head like crazy for the pain caused by the fever.

My laser light follows that motion. However, it is not possible to continue to burn the same spot because the angle and position vary greatly. I have no choice but to change my aim as appropriate to my eyes, mouth, etc.

About five seconds in time.

It consumed a third of its magic power (MP) in this short time.

It was worth it.

The ground dragon couldn't stand it, or when he shook his head up loud, he fell as-is. Not completely out of breath, but at least stopped moving.

"We're all going to stab a stop!" Grandfather shouted, letting the sword wrap his magic around him, and shook it down to the neck of the earth dragon.

My brother and Mel wrap their magic around them in the same way and slash them. After several cramps, the ground dragon stopped moving while bleeding.

You decided you stabbed a stop at the ground dragon, and my grandfather takes immediate action.

"Rescue the wounded! Mel, Rod, Nicholas, use your shield! The rest of you, take the wounded and head to the evacuation area!

My grandfather in the war doesn't know when enemy magic will be shot. Even in critical situations, he acts as he operates.

Now that you have defeated the Ground Dragon, the avant-garde swordsmen and magicians cannot do anything to the enemies in the air. For this reason, it is natural for Enos and the other wounded to evacuate underground.

I decided to ride it too.

"Cover your fathers!," he commanded Hector, and said to Guy, "The rest of the arrows! confirm."

"It's about twenty bottles per person!

"Our magic is low, too! We're retreating before the arrows run out!

Scream so the enemy can hear you.

In fact, I can still afford the magic of Liddy and Sharon, anyway. But you must be looking like you're using a lot of magic on your enemies. Sharon, in particular, looks young and wouldn't consider it to be at that high a level if you think in common sense.

Of course I don't know if the enemy knows the common sense of this world, and I might be able to weigh the amount of magic left over from this one by some means.

Still, you understand we don't have a chance in this situation. If that's the case, then our actions shouldn't look unnatural.

For that reason, the enemy has unleashed magic on us at the rear guard.

"Everybody, evacuate to the shadows of the rocks! Shield over your head!

I jumped into the rock shade screaming.

Immediately afterwards, a pitch-black sphere strikes us.

Straight into the rock with the sound of cutting air. Rocks bounce, fragments scattered. Not only that, but the feeling of the nagging creeping came at me.

If it is normal dark attribute magic, there are many that aim for spiritual effects over physical ones, but this magic seems to have both of those effects.

Sharon was right after he unleashed the magic. As a result, the reaction was delayed and the pitch-black sphere was received around the right chest.

Her luxurious body dances beside me.

For a moment, it looked like slow motion to me. I had no choice but to admire it from the shadows of the rocks because of its lack of realism.

Next to me, I'm getting a dark arrow of demons that Marc and Jake the Archer were turning around and moaning about, but I only see her in my eyes.

"I still have breath! Concentrate on the battle!," Liddy reprimands.

Return to me with those words, suppress your emotions and shout.

"Liddy, Guy, Dan! Bring the wounded into the cave! Liddy, stay put and treat the wounded! Hector, hold the demon!

Yelling like that, I also cast the magic of Swallow Winged Blade (Swallow Cutter) and restrain my head.

The demons traveling at high speeds were also attacking their grandfathers.

My grandfather provokes me to exploit the situation in reverse.

"The demons' magic doesn't work!," he mocks, collecting Hate. Two demons on that provocation unleashed a dark arrow at my grandfather.

Two pitch-black arrows are sucked into my grandfather's torso. But Mithrilled armor easily plays less powerful magic.

"I told you it wouldn't work!

It unleashes more magic on its provocation, but is similarly rendered powerless by armor.

But that didn't end there. The head who knocked off my swallow cutter joined the front. And I command you to be angry with the three demons.

"Do not target those who are carrying the wounded!

The commanded demons rushed toward the Beatrices.

The chief discerned his grandfather's thoughts and came to sharpen his power. It also activates magic in an attempt to crush his grandfather, the commander.

"Try it yourself, whether it doesn't work or not!

I also tried to unleash the magic of restraint, but the enemy completed the magic faster.

A giant sickle (Death Size) appears in the air like a reaper. It was made of a disastrously swirling dark flame, which turned out to have terrible power in the long run.

"Dear Uncle! Avoid it! shouting," Release the arrow of light (Shining Arrow). I didn't think I could offset it, but I chose light attribute magic if I lost any power.

A pitch-black sickle was unleashed against my grandfather.

My grandfather tried to avoid it, but with bad luck, he was shot through the leg with a dark arrow unleashed by a demon who was at a blind spot.

It hits a gap in armor and my grandfather in the war accidentally pokes me in the knee.

My grandfather's voice echoes, "All of you!"

My arrow of light leaves a vestige, heading for Death Size. I hit him brilliantly over the head of my kneed grandfather, but it is inevitable that he will hit his grandfather just slightly off track.

I was wondering if a giant sickle would rub my grandfather's defenseless torso.

But a giant wrapped in black steel armor spreads his hands and stands before his grandfather.

A pitch-black flaming sickle pierces the center of its body. It didn't reach my grandfather, and the magic disappeared.

"Byron!" The cry of my grandfather echoes.

Byron slowly fell without responding to it.

He used his body as a shield to protect his grandfather.

"Shit!" he threw up, "I'll be the one!" I screamed and came forward.

Unlike prior manoeuvres, in this situation it is inevitable that it will be wiped out or close to it. That way you won't be able to win the battle against the biggest enemy you haven't shown up.

"Back off, Zach!," my grandfather commands in desperate shape,

"I would be fine! I will try to avoid this degree of enemy magic," he grins, provoking the head of the enemy in the sky.

"Powerful magic indeed, but what if it doesn't hit!

Pull out the sword while you're good. We've already got a third of Magic Power (MP) left, and we wanted to avoid any further depletion.

"Let me make you regret that grand speech," the enemy's head rode my provocation.

Regardless of your combat skills, your judgment doesn't seem so good.

The rest depends on how long I keep provoking and avoiding enemies, but it's not like I don't have a chance.

The magic speed of an enemy is equal to or inferior to that of an arrow fired by a master class. The speed of the arrow should have been about sixty to seventy meters per second, about two hundred to two hundred and fifty kilometers per hour.

The distance now is about 30 meters, so it's about 0,5 seconds from release until it arrives. Think of it like a professional baseball pitcher's fastball, there's nothing inevitable about it. Of course, not me, but Zacharias Lockhart's physical abilities in this world.

I trained well to avoid arrows because I was trying extremely hard to avoid them. Unless you can use track-type magic like us, but if it's just flying straight, you can avoid it.

If there is any concern, there are still five demons left.

If my foot stops with demon magic like my grandfather was hit, there's a chance I won't get away with it.

Still have to do it.
