Dream Life

Episode 65: Preparing for Act II

After 3pm on March 28th.

Death fights between the Lockhart family and the Demon General (Ark Demon) Ashtal entered the second round.

He has defeated the enemy's ground power, the Land Dragon (Land Dragon), the first Giant (Cyclops), and the four-handed bear (Four Arms Bear), and defeated two demons (Demons) in addition to the Greater Demon (Greater Demon) after Ashtal.

Now the only other enemy power is Ashtal, the Hydra, who is behind with three demons.

The Lockhart family side, which achieved this much, was not left intact either.

Sharon is unconscious under Ashtal's magic, and Byron Seedorf shelters his grandfather, Govan, and is pierced by the Sickle of the Dark Attribute Reaper (Death Size).

Enos Vassel and six other squires were hurt, and the two remain unconscious.

We fought so many deaths, but only about thirty minutes in time. I've never seen a Lockhart family elite get hit so much in just thirty minutes of battle.

Still managed to escape into the underground fortress I built.

My grandfathers were waiting for me as I walked into the basement.

When I tried to talk to my grandfather, I said, "Good!" Liddy comes with me. You were looking at me. I feel like I'm tired.

"It was a little shitty on the way, but it wasn't that dangerous," he tells a few lies.

And check the situation toward my grandfather.

"What's the situation?"

"The consciousness of Byron, Sharon, Enos and Sid cannot return. The others have recovered somewhat from Lydia's treatment."

Fortunately, there are no casualties of war out there, including Byron, to appease, but still clouds his expression that something close was hurt.

"How's it going out there?"

"I managed to shake it off. They'll probably come after us, but they won't be coming in any time soon."

"Really... so after this, as planned, we wait in the back room?

"I'm going to. So move to the back immediately."

My grandfather nodded, "Okay,"

"Everybody to the back! In the back room, Noon's squad and Walt's squad are waiting! Hector commands the archer and stands by for shooting! The wounded should not be put to sleep in a blast shelter!

Everyone moves out on that order.

"I'll set a trap, go ahead"

I'll stay on the spot and get ready.

"I'll take care of it, but don't hang up," my grandfather understood, heading back.

But only Mel stares at me saying, "I'll stay, too".

You must be worried about me. I also thought about letting it go to the back, but admitted it was a waste of time arguing.

"Okay. Then help me" and hand me the crossbow (crossbow) removed from the storage magic (inventory).

"Set me where I explained before. I'll get the strings ready."

This room is prefabricated with a place to secure the crossbow.

As it passes through the entrance, a thick arrow (bolt) is shot in from a close distance of about three meters when it is hooked into the string at the foot. It was installed in the same way in front of the door facing further back, so that the bolts would fly from behind. Additionally, the tip of the bolt should be poisoned with giant sasori Giant Scorpion.

"We can do this one," Mel reports in a whisper.

"We're all set here, too. Turn off the magic props on the lights, so get in the aisle first."

Say yes and go into the back aisle.

Carry the sixty litre barrel for drinking water that was left behind, and I'll be in the aisle, too. And slowly close the disguised door.

"I'm gonna set a trap here, too, so just back off a little bit."

Remove two more barrels.

"Is it alcohol in there?" Mel asked.

I guess I wondered because it's the same barrel that puts the beer in.

"No, it's not booze. It's just water with this barrel over here."

"What do you use it for?

"In the meantime, flush me down the aisle"

With that said, I open the plug and run water down the aisle. Mel likes me, too, and opens the barrel plug.

"The floor is a little down, so I know the water will build up, but I have no idea what I'm going to do."

I've been listening while running water with Dovadova.

"It's a trick to make the trap work better."

Mel said, "Is the trap working," but from the fact that the barrel was emptied, he didn't hear any more.

Collect the barrel and set the trick that is on the way.

Confirm the trap again and enter the hall for the showdown.

"The trick is over. Let's just wait quietly."

That's what I say, then I head back.

The seriously wounded were being put to sleep, accompanied by Liddy.

"I tried, but I knew it wouldn't work with my magic. Byron's wounds are blocked, but he can't regain consciousness by using Recovery."

Ashtal's three magical Byron, Sharon, and Sid remain unconscious, and state recovery (recovery) that restores light attribute magic paralysis, etc. seems to be ineffective.

"Enos' helmet was heavily distorted. Looks like he's hitting his head hard. This one's good for me too."

Enos was the first to take the tail blow of a ground dragon and was losing his mind. At that time, they hit him hard in the head.

"The other wounded are only on first aid. Because Govi said we should keep our magic warm now."

He really wanted to heal properly, a slightly dissatisfied look.

"I'll take care of the four of you. Liddy uses quite a bit of magic too, so you need to get some rest."

"Are you the one who's okay with magic? I think I've used it a lot."

"I'm fine. I'm only going to treat you at the very least."

Liddy leaves an uneasy look on her face, finds space and lowers back.

The four were lying intact on the floor. Sharon and Sid breathe calmly, but Byron and Enos breathe weakly.

Priority should otherwise be given to the treatment of critical Byron and Enos, but I don't know if I can help everyone with the little magic left over.

(Sorting (triage) or... I don't like it when I do it myself...)

If you think of it as a force of war, Sharon should be the priority.

Sharon is my wife and would love to help. However, only this time, life and death were given precedence over Byron because they are necessary for future operations.

The reason is that it's second only to me in magic and because it's the only other person besides me who knows the details about this underground fortress trap.

I also tell Liddy somewhat, but I only give her an overview in the sense of thorough information management.

There were other reasons.

Sharon has the ruthlessness to sacrifice but refuse to do so in order to achieve her purpose. I've decided that's what we're going to need for this operation.

As I felt in the battle outside, this time the enemy is so powerful that they don't know if they can defeat it at the expense of their allies.

Whether it's me or Liddy, I doubt you can fight until you sacrifice your grandfather or brother, but Sharon wouldn't hesitate to sacrifice anything but me if he needed to.

And when we find ourselves in a critical situation, we may need to activate the last trap at the expense of our allies. I don't want that to happen, but you should hit the hand you can hit.

Put your hands on Sharon's chest.

Then, the purification is hung with an image that removes foreign matter from the Demonic Crystal Stone.

Light Attribute Magic Unique soft light sucked in, and instead something like a black even emerged.

Sharon's complexion becomes reddish.

(As expected... just like when I treated the pricks stabbed with Vlad's sword...)

I was on the hit. It was wondered whether the demon general named Ashtal and Vlad Varonos, king of the undead, had been given strength by the enemies of the gods together.

Vlad didn't work his magic either. That's because the pitch-black armor was preventing magic, but its principles have yet to be elucidated. But I know I was powerless of magic with a different reason than the reason (proverb) of this world.

Ashtal doesn't know the reason, either, but he thinks he might have prevented magic with the same force. If so, the same reasoning should be used for the attack.

I thought if I did the same treatment I did to my grandfather, who was debilitated by Vlad's attack, it would work.

Sharon slowly opens his eyes when he says, "Here..."

"Behind the basement. Good......" and hold her tight.

"The, Master Zach? I said..." Did I get my memories back,

"What happened to the battle! I..."

"I'm fine. I'm in a state of well-being for now. So get some rest now."

That's what I say and hug you again.

I slowly meditated on my eyes saying "yes......" you haven't fully recovered yet.

The magic Sharon uses is a combination of purification (prefix) and state recovery (recovery). Liddy should be able to use it too, but I guess it didn't work out because it's difficult to adjust.

It consumed less magic (MP) than I thought. As a result, I was able to hang on to the treatment of the most dangerous Byron I thought I would give up for a while.

There was a hole in the chest armor (Cuiras) next to Byron that was pierced by a magical reaper sickle (Death Size). Armor forged using Ars steel and misrills, high quality steel, by Dwarf masterpieces, is torn apart like paper.

(Even my light-god thunderbolt Lightning of Lucidus has a few seconds for this armor. That's so light......)

Think about that for a moment, but it immediately hits the treatment of Byron.

Hang the magic of purification and state restoration just like Sharon, and also the healing (heel) for the treatment of the internal organs.

Being pierced through the lungs, I also imagine purifying the blood.

Whether that played a role or Byron's breathing has calmed down. But I'm not going back to consciousness as to whether it was a big shock.

I would continue to treat them a little more if I could afford them, but now I give priority to treating others and keep them asleep.

Enos is treated for cerebral hemorrhage. He was waking up shortly afterwards and seeping remorse at his being underground.

"I'm sorry to hear you get hit with the first blow... what happened to the fight..."

"There are only three enemy heads and demons for the rest. Stay asleep for about enough more. Well, if the enemy comes in by then, they'll have to fight."

"I get it," he nods, but realizes the Sharons are laid to sleep on the side,

"What about the victims?," he asked in a whisper.

"We're all alive. So rest now."

When I said that, I nodded cocklessly and meditated my eyes.

Finally, treat Sid. In his case, the effect of the misthrill-coated shield or the amount of black trinkets was small and arose immediately.

Now everyone survived, including those treated by Liddy. It raises questions about who hasn't lost so many lives to so many enemies.

(With the power of that demon general named Ashtal (Ark Demon), it wasn't surprising that at least half of the wounded lost their lives. The same goes for the magic you've unleashed on me, but it's all about damaging the spirit. The sickle of the Reaper who aimed at me and the magic that targeted me at the end seemed to be lethal... sure, he said he was going to catch me, but it's unnatural to think of the battle against the Reaper Mage (Rich). Is it an order of the enemies of the gods? ……

In the battle against Rich I had seen before, I had summoned a giant dark giant and crushed him relentlessly. If we used that magic from the sky again this time to make an attack, there would have been a lot of sacrifice by the time the avant-garde escaped into the basement.

Doubts come up one after the other, but now we have to focus on the next fight.

Report to my grandfather that I have finished treating the Sharons.

"All four have been treated. Sid can return to the front even soon. Sharon and Enos need a little rest, but there won't be a problem. Byron, but the treatment has been successful, but the healing magic isn't working very well. Just like my uncle and Nicholas, who received Vlad's sword."

"Well......" he mutters with a look mixed with relief and bitterness.

But you switched your head immediately, it was in the commander's face.

"You did a great job. So how much magic do you have left?

"It's like 10%. After this, rest until your enemies arrive and try to restore your magic, but consider that magical support is minimal."

"Okay. Then get some rest," he said to me.

"They all took their lives, including Byron. But starting with Zach, the magician's magic doesn't allow it. Be prepared to fight from here without magic."

No one speaks up, everyone nods quietly.

Evidence of a proper understanding of the maneuver that draws the enemy in.

I lay down in the space under the projectile deck.

Sleeping without thinking is the best way to restore some magic, but I really think about how my enemies get out.

(Are you trying to capture us? For what? What the enemy is looking for is supposed to be Luna. You're manipulating us to lure Luna out? If you have that much power, it's fine to cut the front and go abduct him. Or haven't you figured out where Luna is yet? Too little information to know...)

The biggest question is that you put in such a powerful force as the Ground Dragon, but you're not hanging on to us. To be precise, the Grounddragon was relentlessly attacking his grandfathers. But Ashtal and the devil are dominated by the magic of the paralytic system.

The enemy thought it was something they were trying to get Luna or kill. If that's the case, then we're just in the way to protect her.

Another big question is that the leader of the enemy, a pitch-black demon-like man, does not emerge.

I hope you think it's okay not to go out on your own, because you put in a mighty force called Ashtal, but it was doubtful if the kind of presence that the gods feared would disperse the power with such cheap ideas.

In fact, we are losing ground dragons, a newly collected force.

I suspected that the leader of the enemy might be leaping elsewhere.

(In any case, I can't help but think about this aftermath of not defeating that Ashtal. Now we have to strive to restore magic......)

That's what I thought and calmed my mind.
