Dream Life

Episode 67: The Underground Showdown

Ashtal, an archdeacon, was staring into the cave where the Lockhart family fled.

We used deer and goblins captured by demons (demons) to examine traps and ambushes, but we were both attacked. We know it's a trap, not an ambush, because we were connecting our sights.

(Where'd it disappear? Well done basement for making it in a hurry. But it's not that big of a room. I guess it goes further back with a hidden door or something...... then if you make an explosion, the door blows up. Finding them should be easy...)

Unleashes the magic of an explosion of fire attributes (Explosion) towards the basement.

Some of the dust and supplies that were placed along with the explosion sound blow out of the entrance. There was an air hole on the cliff from which there was also a blast.

When the blast settled in about ten seconds, he ordered the demon to "look inside".

The demon moves carefully inside, but the soil and dust that have risen do not ensure his sight. Wait a minute or so and it will heal too and move on inside again.

Inside there was a rock shelf and fireplace that they seemed to use as a sleeping area, but there were no blankets, tools, etc., and there was no sign of people. I'll look into it for another five minutes, but I couldn't find anything that looked like a passage.

The demon reports Ashtal couldn't find anything.

"That can't be right. You saw it, too! They escaped!

Though Ashtal can roar that way, he considers it a waste of time even if he leaves it to the devil, commands the one and only demon to watch outside, and takes the rest of the demon inside himself.

Once in the basement, as the demon reports, there is only a sleeping area and a fireplace, which puzzles me.

"What's this all about? They did escape into this. Can you use the magic of metastasis... no, if you carry that many people, you should feel that power. I will always be in this..."

Ashtal ordered the demons to find out if there was a way out.

"Hit the floor and the wall to find out. If there is space, the sound always changes. But check carefully. I don't know what kind of trap he's setting."

The demon begins to use his sword to investigate the order.

This is the first time this kind of work has been carried out and we do not get any guidelines inside. Ashtal was frustrated and watched the sight.

In enough time, the demon discovers different parts of the sound.

Ashtal also knocks on that wall to confirm it, but can't tell it from the surrounding wall. I couldn't hide my surprise at its sophistication.

"Terrible and sophisticated workmanship, but there is certainly a cavity ahead," he murmured, "be careful with the trap and open it carefully," he ordered.

And then you walk away from that wall yourself.

The demon slowly opens the rock door in disguise.

Inside it was a narrow passage and the floor was wet as if it was even out in spring water.

The passage appears to be turning left about ten meters (melt) away.

I also thought about capturing and sending in the beast again, but hated wasting time. Also, I just wanted to see how things were going a little bit and thought that if the crossbow or something was set up, I should go back.

"Watch the trap and explore inside. Go to that bend and peek in the back. But watch your step. If you hook a string, there might be a trigger trap."

When the demon folded his wings, he went into a narrow passage.

The floor was slightly down and the water accumulated about 3 cm (semel).

Proceed with caution one step at a time, but find nothing in particular. We get to a bend about ten melts away. He contemplated an ambush and peered in carefully, but was at an end in about five melts.

It's just a passage, and there's never been a crossbow installed, like in the basement earlier.

When the demon reported the matter, Ashtal ordered him to "go to the end".

The demon begins to proceed carefully down the aisle.

I felt uncomfortable with my legs a few steps further. There was an extremely thin string cleverly hidden in the water.

Shortly afterwards, something called kachi sounded off. The demon thinks the trap has been activated and rushes out.

But soon the sound of gakun echoed from the ceiling and sand fell from above.

I look up at what happened and I realize the ceiling is coming off and falling off.

Further escape, but the ceiling had begun to fall in the same way in the passage that had already passed, quickly crushed by the ceiling.

Zacharias' set up trap was ingenious.

Thin strings like Tegus are placed in the water and difficult to see from above. By further installing it at the end of the bend, he alerted the ambush, as well as distracting attention from the foot he had been paying until then by stopping the movement.

The ceiling was a double structure.

It had three ceilings under the cave ceiling, five melts long and about twenty semels thick. This ceiling plate weighs about five tons per sheet.

When the string installed in the water is pulled, the small wedge planted inside the wall falls off and the weight of the metal on that wedge falls off. The weight was connected to the wedge supporting the ceiling plate. As a result, the ceiling plate loses support and falls.

Further, the first ceiling plate was connected to a wedge that supported another plate, and when the first plate fell, all the ceiling plates were chained down.

I didn't know for a moment what happened to Ashtal I was watching on the basement side. But I quickly understand that the enemy has set a falling ceiling trap and tremble in anger.

(I didn't expect you to fool me so far... there must still be traps ahead. But if it's a trap of this magnitude, I won't get hurt... if they stay here, you can't use poison. Then it would be better to move forcefully…)

If it was Ashtal's ability, he wouldn't have been damaged by smashing it with a sword even if the ceiling had fallen. The first crossbow attack or his defense can also be healed with healing magic without any problems, even if the hit is bad.

The only concern I had was the carbon monoxide poisoning trap that had previously defeated the Great Demon. He thought it was a special poison, and his presence was creepy and he had acted so cautiously.

But with no sign of the enemy escaping and all the physical traps, I was convinced that no poison trap would be set.

"You keep an eye out for them outside. If you want to escape, use the Cyclops to stop you."

The demon nodded respectfully and walked away early. Demonic demons wanted to leave the scene early because they hated narrow spaces where their wings could not be used.

Ashtal unleashed an unmade ball of darkness toward the aisle.

(After all that work, I don't think there's anything there yet, just in case. Now whether the enemy is hiding or trapping, there is no problem...)

Not a wall, not a ceiling, but a pitch-black sphere. That number is over a hundred, and ten of them use as much magic as they need if they are regular magicians. But Ashtal shows no shards of how tired he is, and walks straight over the fallen ceiling.

Because of the low ceiling at his height, he proceeded to succumb.

Reach where the demon hung on the trap. There's only a wall of rocks ahead, and it's a dead end.

(I guess that rock is also a door. Then you just have to destroy it magically......)

We head for the poke, wary of the trap.

When you arrive at the poke without anything happening, when you tap the wall with a sword pattern, you realize that the rock sounds subtly different on the front.

(Looks like this is still the door. Thicker than I thought. If so, should I turn it into sand…)

The magic of the earthly attribute magic "Sand Generation (Sandcreator)" was used to try to turn the rock into sand. But reconsider immediately.

(If enemies are ambushing ahead, they attack you the moment you make a hole. It's troublesome when you use tangled hands, not magic. You should thin it and then shoot in the magic and take the lead......)

Think so, turning rocks into sand little by little with sand creatures.

It's harder to convert than I thought, took longer, but thins about ten semels in about five minutes. I can't confirm how thick it is, but I decided to thin it just one spot and shoot the magic in there.

He activated the spear of prison flames (Hellflame Lance) magic and shot it into a thinner place than the others.

An orange spear emitting high heat pierces a rock. And penetrated the rock door.

The ceiling drop trap was activated.

If a rocky ceiling of more than five tons per shot strikes directly, none of them will be intact, even if they are Demon Generals (Ark Demons).

But after the ceiling fell, I heard a lot of magic unleashed. Probably put the demon ahead and dodged the trap.

Now the trap we prepared for the aisle is gone. After this, it means we're going to have a pussy fight with an intact demon general.

"Looks like the Demon General is safe. But you don't get discouraged. Originally, Zach said the trap was restful. These doors are easy for all of us to open. As usual, when you come in, it's a battle."

My brothers nod at my grandfather's words.

My placement, but not the rear guard, the avant-garde.

Initially planned to attack with magic, but because the magic doesn't work on the enemy, I'm in my grandfather's squad on behalf of Byron.

"The enemy's magic is immense. Probably will shoot the magic out of you with the intention of blowing the door open. So don't stand in the front, try to stick to the wall and wait."

"Right. Non will wait on the left side with Sim. You lead Brett and Sid and wait on the right. Walt's squad is splitting up and waiting. Rod, Beatrice's squad should be on guard at the wall."

Everyone travels silently.

The Hectors on the platform were also hiding in the shadow of a rock plate for shielding to see what was going on.

Everyone is breathing and waiting.

Once, a rock door made a noise called Don. The enemy must have unleashed magic or beaten him up.

Then several times I heard the sound of knocking rock doors with hard objects.

Then the silence persists for a while.

Suddenly, there was a slight sound of something hitting the door. That sounded like he was knocking with his fist to check the thickness of the door with a light sound.

Tension runs on everyone.

Red discoloration occurs near the center of the grey rock door.

Immediately after that, an orange flaming spear jumped in at high speed. Prison Fire Spear (Hellfire Lance) Class Fire Attribute Magic with a power comparable to mine.

They weren't all in front of the door and there was no damage. But there's no time to appease it, and the rock door gets crushed.

I saw the tip of the sword several times, seemingly destroying it with pure physical force, not magic. It was a giant sword that Ashtal had, and the rock door, which was quickly sturdy, was destroyed without a trace.

My grandfather sent me a signal with his eyes. To assault him at the same time as he came in.

A giant about two meters and thirty centimeters slowly came in feeling like bowing his head.

My grandfather lets the magic sword wrap a flame around me and chops me up. Of course, I was slashing at the same time, making it a simultaneous left and right attack.

A wind-cut noise called Byun echoes in the cellar, unleashed by my grandfather's sword.

Instead of swinging through it, I flanked it and let go of my prick.

The sound of cancer echoes in the basement. My grandfather's special slaughter was taken by Ashtal's giant sword.

And they were taking my thrust. Not by the sword, but by bare hands.

Ashtal took my thrust with ease.

The motion stops unexpectedly at that incredible sight.

"This level of attack doesn't work," Ashtal said, twitching and kicking in my belly.

The kick itself is a clutter like an amateur, but the move outweighed my movements using demon fighting techniques and I couldn't avoid it. I managed to let my powers escape by tilting my center of gravity behind me, but it blows me away a lot.

Though it was the stun that spared me, the damage wasn't small and I couldn't get up right away.

In the meantime, my grandfather was committing further attacks. Sim, Brett, and Sid join the attack in order to join their grandfathers.

Walt and the archers were also shooting at the gap between the swordsmen, and Hector and the archers were shooting arrows at their heads.

He had been plainly attacked by seven avant-gardes and six rear-guards.

Exactly. My grandfather and Walt's attacks are flat with swords, but I take it flat with my body that other attacks will not work. In fact, it just has a thin scratch without bleeding.

I was analyzing this situation with my own healing magic.

(Is it also a barrier to the whole body? I don't know Sid or Ricky's offense isn't working. But Sim and Will are fierce beyond level fifty. Besides, they both use Mithril weapons. A normal magic barrier should be able to penetrate...)

Sims is Swordsman Level 53, Will is Swordsman Level 56. These two had wounded ground dragons with tough scales. That hardly works.

Hector also uses Mithril's arrow, and it is anomalous that the arrow released from his rigid bow does not work at this close range.

When he finishes hanging the healing magic, he gives instructions on behalf of his grandfather.

"Sim! Will! Brett! Sid! Ricky, the five of you stay back! My brother, Nicholas, Beatrice and Mel will join me in the attack! If anyone else falls, fill that hole! Sharon, I'll leave those instructions to you!

When you give instructions to the avant-garde, the next step is to give instructions to the rear guard.

"Guy and Dan are in the Swordsmith squad! Hector continues the attack with the four of us as it is!

Everyone returns a message of understanding.

My instructions are to beat the Rockhart family to the top. The original plan contemplated a battle between the pitch-black demons and the demon general Ashtal, a situation in which he would uninterrupted attacks, but without even demons, slamming his maximum power and aiming for a short-term showdown.

If you can't win with this, you can't win no matter how.

Brett, the swordsman, and Ricky, the magician, were slashed down just moments before the change.

They both have torn chest armor (Cuiras) and blood is gushing out like a fountain. Obviously fatal, but you can't afford me to be treating you. The two were dragged out by the Sims and sent backwards.

I just have to leave it to Liddy's discretion when it comes to treatment.

The rally of elites began the Lockhart family's onslaught.

My grandfather's sword leaves a vestige to swallow the enemy's torso. The magic has already been wiped out, but the glow of the obsidian Adamantite strikes, but Ashtal plays it easily with a giant sword.

Nicholas pokes that gap and slashes it with a Mithrill sword that wraps around the light.

Avoid the attack by tilting your body, and release a foot payment to your brother, who was about to make another attack from the side.

Beatrice and Walt aim at the head and unleash a poke at the same time, but they also dodge it by letting their heads back.

The move belongs to the master and I see no naivety whatsoever like Vlad Varonos, king of the undead. Though sensational, Ashtal's swordsman level seemed comparable to that of the strongest mercenary, Gideon Dyer of Fortis.

It's more densely populated, and there's no room for me and Mel to get in. Mel moves in so she can take turns with her grandfather, and I wait in the back so I can replace Nicholas or my brother. Sometimes I throw kunais even when I say I'm waiting. But it hasn't even been harassed just because it hits something like a barrier.

There was no rush on Ashtal's face, but on the contrary, a rush was beginning to arise on us.
