Dream Life

Lesson 51: Information from the Queen

November 23rd.

The biggest Dwarf Festival in history was over and a month was about to pass.

Autumn is deepening and wood withering is beginning to blow in the village of Rasmore, and the villagers are beginning their winter support.

When the Dwarves leave the village, Luna, Theo and the other headquarters they took care of and the Imperial Branch are given long-aged liquor (Zach Collection) and my blended Scotch.

The liquor is the best way to convey gratitude to the Dwarves, but they also have a crush on them and they say it is a thank you for bringing them delicious liquor because it is unnecessary to thank them for breaking a bone for a friend.

The recipient knows my intentions, but the Lockhart family took my gratitude and received it.

The finish of the festival lasted about ten days and it feels like the routine is finally back.

He does little by little what he couldn't do because he didn't have the time to compile the results of Ray Arklight's analysis of the magic formations in his paper, or the production of Nicholas' prosthetics, which he was about to make halfway through.

Nicholas' right-hand man, but using new ideas sent to him by his mentor, Professor Raspade, and the knowledge gained from Arklite's analysis of his magic formations, he manages to get to a practical level.

The prosthetic hand is an exquisite gauntlet made of Mithril, made by Beltram, with gloves made from the skin membrane of the wings of the Feilong (Wyburn), a luxury that magically moves through the wind attribute.

I can grip things with five fingers and adjust their strength, so I can manage to use them for civilian work. Even so, there are still inconveniences, so further improvements are being attempted.

It's a brewery, but this one is more powerful than ever. Especially fitted into making blended whiskey.

Many kinds of scotch were brought in at the Dwarf Festival. At that time, they were being divided into twenty litres of stainless steel tanks for tasting.

There were more than thirty of them, and I mixed them with a lot of things to try to make them taste better.

This is not a hobby, but also the training of artisans who are coming to the village to train.

New liquor was accepted in addition to thoughts at this festival. For this reason, the craftsmen will remember to create new flavors as well as swing the flavors of Scott Wishkey, the leading distiller like before.

Of course, the same can be said of the village craftsmen, who are beginning to experiment and err in search of new flavors.

When I was in November, I received a letter from Professor Kittry Erbain of the Tilia School of Magic.

She joined the Lunas in Jilsall, and after breaking up at Imperial Primes in mid-July, she conducted a study at the Imperial Academy of Higher Studies in Imperial City to find out if there were any materials about the gods and obtained some information.

Among that information was about Lucio Brillare, the founder of Phototheism, who, like me, moved to Finnish Island to follow in his footsteps.

It seemed that no significant information was available on Finnish Island, but the use of time there meant that the wars between the Caerm Empire and Luke's Holy King had been averted at a time when sea routes had been used to return safely to Doctus in mid-October.

It was said that he had encountered other gods and gained knowledge of this world, but no details had been written. It only said that I wanted to meet and talk to him in person once.

I'm interested in it, but even if I go to Doctus, I think it's after the beginning of the year.

The reason for this is that Luna's behavior is largely unreadable. We know we stopped the war at the main impulse Lark Hill west of the Empire, but with Theo and the others acting together, it's possible we'll be back in the village.

At the end of the aftermath of stopping the war, we cannot read how long it will take, but if we have moved the people of the meadows, we will also need a compromise with the imperial government. Considering that, once we need to negotiate with the Chancellor Lord Ezzarington towards the Imperial City, I don't think it will end in a short period of time.

Either way, I'll be getting information from Theo soon, so I'm going to see it and then take action.

And today, new information arrived from Ars, king capital of the Kingdom of Kaum.

The sender of the information is Queen Katrina and her brother Theophilus.

We have heard from the Marquis of Seawell during the Dwarf Festival last month that the war between the Caerm Empire and the Holy King Luke was averted, and this information is a subsequent story.

The Queen's letter contained a detailed account of Luna's actions.

The Lunas returned to the meadows from the western part of the Empire and entered Ars via Fortis. But Ray Arklight and Theo weren't the only ones with Luna about the "White Master” thing.

We still know that Arklight's Mercenary Corps (Red Arms) led the meadow people, including the Centaur tribe, who rarely left the meadows, and even Luke's strongest Beast Corps.

The Queen's information also stated that Luna was the "son of the moon", the substantial ruler of the demonic kingdom, “Sochius”.

I can't imagine Luna being the ruler of a country, but it's impossible for a queen to convey falsehood.

However, if the presence of the "Son of the Moon” is symbolic, I don't know, but the details remain unclear as to whether the Queen herself has any information around it.

Moreover, there is little information not only about the existence of the Son of the Moon, but also about the country itself called Sochius, and he is reluctant to strike intelligence and other hands for the establishment of future national relations.

Those Lunas, but information from Theo suggests that after leaving Ars, they were to enter the land of the demons (Kwaedam Tenebre) through Fort Toa. It was said that he did not stop at the village of Rasmore (here) and entered Toa Street from Barbezi on Als Street.

I told my family about it.

My father said, "Well,"

"Is Theo with you... are you going to fight the God of Nothingness (Vanitas)..."

It feels closer to talking to myself than asking.

"Perhaps… it was not enough that we stopped the war between the Empire and the Holy King. If Vanitas was there with Ashtal the Demon General (Archdemon), I don't think he has a chance..."

I fought Ashtal in the depths of the Aquila Mountains last March. At that time, I see the figure of a pitch-black demon clan with very powerful powers. I am convinced that that is a transcendent being and intuitively Vanitas.

He also despaired that the moment he saw it, even with the elite of the Lockhart family, starting with his grandfather, there was no chance of winning. Fortunately, he has disappeared since, and has not even become a rumor, but it was only clear from the suggestion of the gods and from this information that he is in the land of the Demons.

"I wonder if those kids will come back safely..."

My mother shrugged like that with a groan.

I don't think I can come back alive, challenging that existence. But you can't tell my mother about it.

"If you're following the word of the gods, you can assume that you have some support. I don't know what that looks like."

"Right. If the gods are attached......" but I was seen suppressing anxiety.

Like changing the subject, "What are you not going to do?" My grandfather asked.

"There's nothing I can do," I assure you immediately.

In fact, the gods have told me that any more interference would be harmful and incapable of moving. The Lunas are also on their way to the Aquila Mountains, where they will cross before the cold gets harsher.

But it is nearly three hundred and fifty kilometers from here to Fort Toa. It's not until December that we get to the fort, even if we chase them right now.

We need permission from the Kaum kingdom to pass the fort before then. That's why we need to stop by Ars and then head to Toa.

The distance travelled would be more than six hundred and fifty kilometres, and flying a horse would take about a month and a half.

In that case, we will have to cross the dangerous Aquila in the middle of winter.

More importantly, we are not guided to the geography of eternal darkness (Kwaedam Tenebre). I can't chase you in a situation where you don't know where the Lunas are going.

"All we can do is hope Luna and the others are safe."

"Right," my father nodded, and that ended this story.

It has been established that Luna will not be here, but it is planned to make her way to Doctus at the beginning of the year.

I can't come back by the beginning of the year, especially if I'm not in a hurry and if I head there at the right time. This New Year's Eve I decided to stay here in the village of Rasmore.

I've only been back about four months since my last trip. I really want to slow down a bit, but one of the reasons is that I haven't had the magic team paper to give to Dr. Raspade.

I care about the stories of the gods, but I think it's time for the Lunas to fight Vanitas.

I don't know the size of the Devil's Land, the eternal darkness (Kwaedam Tenebre) or the distance to your destination, but it's not strange to stop here if you don't need to hurry.

Failure to do so means we are in a hurry.

I'm over Toa's in mid-November. I mean, we're gonna settle this before it's a full-fledged winter.

Of course, we know that even if a settlement is reached, it will be long after the information arrives here. But if Vanitas is sealed, it is possible that the gods will say something. We thought we could wait for that before we left.

The Liddies weren't the first to ride when it came to this trip to Doctus.

"Wouldn't you like to relax a little bit? If you want your opinion, it's coming from Kitty."

Liddy's right, Mr. Kitley is free because he hasn't included a cup of college lecture this fiscal year. There are about three hundred and seventy kilometers from Doctus, but she can travel in about half a month if she's used to traveling. There are some dangerous places, but I guess you want to say that security is not bad across the board and you can always come if you want to.

"I agree with Lydia. Doctus' errands don't end in a couple of days."

"Right. The same goes for Mr. Kitley, but it's going to take more for Dr. Raspade."

"If you don't have to hurry, why don't you just go in the spring and settle down?"

Mel and Sharon also seem to disagree with leaving the village aggressively, nodding to the opinion of the Liddies.

Still, I decided to go to Doctus.

The reason is because I wondered what the gods told Mr. Kitley.

Probably, but he's barely talking about what's important. Still going to the temple with Luna and Arklight. At that time, they could have informed me of facts I didn't know.

Mr. Kitley had another question to ask.

That's about Arklight.

In Ars, we hear about Arklight from the faces of Hamish Markat and the other Mercenary Corps of Markat (Red Arms), but for them it was inside them, and it wasn't clear what one would be.

I've heard from Ulrich and the rest of the Dwarves, but if Luna trusts them, the Dwarves don't think deeply, they trust Arklight. Of course, you'll spot it if it's detrimental to Luna, but if we can have fun drinking together, we're indifferent to the magnitude of our political tenets and ambitions.

In that regard, I am wondering if Mr. Kitley and I have known each other for a long time and will convey some frank impressions of Arklight.

When I tell you about it,

"What's the point of knowing the character of the person? If you win the battle against Vanitas, you'll see him, and if you lose, that's it."

"I know what Liddy's trying to say, but I need to hear it somehow."

You gave up the four of them because I can't break them, and you're going to Doctus.

Three hundred and twenty-six years of Tria's history came to an end and a new year dawned.

The Rodrick family, my brother, who is on assignment to Kilnarek for the New Year, also returns to the castle, with all the Lockhart families except Theo, Serra and Luna facing each other.

My brother is blessed with three children. My oldest son Dean, my oldest daughter Lettisha, and my second son Wesley, who was born last year.

Dean is now six years old. I've already started my sword training two years ago. Talent is unknown, but the way he endures rigorous training reminds me of my brother's childhood.

Lettisha turns three, but she looks like her mother, Rosalind, or her wife. I always run around when I'm in the village and Rosalind scolds me.

Ministers and residents will visit the castle from the time they finish breakfast to greet them for the New Year.

It's easy because it's a home style that hates to be rugged, but my father and mother are supposed to go to Kilnarek City after this to have a New Year's party with some of the city's leading figures.

I have a voice on me too, but I say no to everything to keep my face out of this kind of place as much as possible.

This is because my current position is only the second son of the Viscount family, and when I act too prominently, it looks like I'm after the housekeeper.

Of course, my brother knows full well that he doesn't feel that way about me, so much so that he laughs and says, "If Zach's going to succeed, I'll give the governor away."

No matter the joke, I seriously think I'm more capable of governing, so if I wanted to, I should really give in.

When that happens, my brother will go to Welburn with his family and will be the general of the Northern Governor's Office Army. With his ability as a samurai, his fame, he is also a cousin of the Raswell Border Uncle family, and should soon get about a baron position.

My own way of shaking myself in the future, but I haven't thought about anything yet.

In the meantime, I try not to think about Vanitas until I know it's sealed. This will naturally affect this village if Luna fails, because even if we cannot counter that powerful presence, we are going to resist it to delay the demise of the world at all.

Spend the New Year relaxing and leave for Doctus on January 3rd.

Not just the five of us this time, but also Nicholas Garland and his men, two civilians and two escort squire, plus his youngest sister, Sofia.

Nicholas had planned to take him from the beginning, but offered to buy him because he ran out of material in the realm.

"I also don't have enough general arithmetic and language material, because I'm running out of material on magic. I was always worried about which material to choose about magic. I was wondering if you could pick something that Zach would like to be with you..."

When asked in detail, schools are being opened not only in the village of Rasmore, but also in the city of Kilnarek and surrounding rural areas, and there is a lack of textbooks and other teaching materials.

In addition, children with magical talents are beginning to be found, as they were enrolled in the Tilia School of Magic from the village last year, and are looking for teaching materials to educate them.

It just meant that Nicholas was also an amateur when it comes to magic, and better when I'm with him.

He also thinks about adjusting the prosthetic hand at Dr. Raspade's for Nicholas.

This is what I asked for. Although the prosthetic hand I made is not in bad shape, it is because I wish my teacher could see it and improve it even further.

Sophia, but I wasn't going to take him at first.

"I want to hunt demons as adventurers in Doctus," he asked upwards.

"What's the reason? If you're hunting demons, you think Periclitle can do it?

"Doctus would raise the rank just for hunting demons, wouldn't he? If I were here, I wouldn't go up at all..."

That's what I'm saying, but I've already become a class six adventurer who's said to serve one person. But he's in a hurry because he can't get up from it.

The reason Sofia wants to go is simple. The Adventurer Alliance of Doctus employs a unique system.

No matter how many demons you hunt, it doesn't count toward promotion unless you get a request in advance from another branch, but Doctus counts as an achievement if you crusade for demons without having to get a request in advance. In other words, what you hunt is a proven track record.

Around Doctus is at the foot of the Saeum Mountains, where there are many demons, a dangerous place where demons come down constantly. However, the new city has no walls and the achievement of requests in ex post reports, which have not taken place in other branches in the sense of contorting demons, has been recognized as exceptional. I want to take advantage of this.

Meanwhile, there is no branch of Adventurer Guild in the village of Rasmore. When I become an adventurer in the village, I will automatically belong to Kilnarek, where I have branches, but the Lockhart family often crusades directly around here, and not so many requests to adventurers.

Also, even if there is one, it is not enough for Sophia, who is above level forty, with many small items below level five.

"I'm not going hunting demons," Beatrice said joining the story.

"You guys are going into college. Me and Mel will be free when that happens. I'm glad to be in the mountains with Sophia."

"Thank you, Sister Beatrice!" and Sophia hugs him.

It's been sweet on Sophia for a long time, but it makes sense what Beatrice says, and I guess Sophia wants to get away from her parents.

Just in case, I checked with my father and mother, but with us, it was decided that I would be fine.
