Dream Life

Final Story "Dream Continued"

I came back before Lockhart Castle from my encounter with the gods.

Although Dan couldn't beat me to the ground because he took it, he was in critical condition, and severe pain strikes all over his body. I can't even open my eyes to that pain.

"Dear Zach!" I heard Dan.

When I tried to open my mouth, I felt the pain fade away.

When you open your eyes thinly, the soft light wraps around the museum hills, and the sight of the eleven pillars of gods descending upon your eyes.

I could hear my father saying, "Are you the gods..."

When God, who seemed to be the God of Light (Lucidus), said, "Well done," all who could move fell down on the spot.

I was able to move with the pain gone, so I bowed my head down and waited just as loudly on the spot.

"Your work has saved the world."

That's what the god of a man with pure white wings (Wita) tells him.

And he stepped down in front of me.

'Especially Zacharias, your work had something to keep an eye on. It is commendable that we have wiped out such a powerful enemy, a terrible enemy that destroys the world, that it cannot be compared to the demons that are falling here. As a reward, let's fulfill one thing you want'

I told him the scenario line told in that space.

"Thank you. Now give back to your family those who lost their lives in this battle. For without their power they could not triumph over the enemies of the gods."

'Okay. Now, God of Darkness (Noctis), please'

As Wita lowered slightly, Noctis, a goddess with pitch-black wings, stepped down before me and spread her hands wide open.

"O brave men. Go back under the beloved. '

The light that was overflowing weakens rapidly and is wrapped in a book of darkness even though it is midday. Darkness so deep that I can barely even see it with my enhanced vision.

But it's not a cold darkness that makes you feel dead, it's a gentle darkness like a warm night in spring.

I felt a strong force wrapping around me.

There are many breaths of life boiling in them. I guess every one of them is the power of the lives of those who are resurrected.

The darkness slowly disappears, once again surrounded by soft light.

There was no figure of the gods on the spot, and the blue sky of spring was spreading.

"Dear Zach!" I heard Mel's voice from behind.

When Mel hugs me, she says, "Good... good..." and cries.

"You could really come back," Beatrice heard.

"I'm only sure I was helped," he says, holding her tight with Mel.

"Dear Zach......" Sharon ran out of the castle. There was no usual calm atmosphere, shaking my hair and rushing over in tears.

"Sounds like you made me feel hard. But it's okay now."

"Yes......"

That's all, you left your body with me. I can't move in a way surrounded by the three of us.

"Oh, what am I supposed to do?

I heard Liddy.

The three of them walk away from me with regret.

"Welcome home. That's it."

"Yes..." he just jumped straight into my chest.

"I don't need anything else from you... I'm glad you're alive..."

"Same goes for me. I can't live without Liddy... we'll always be together from now on..."

There are joyful voices around us that celebrate the resurrection of our comrades, but we didn't hear them.

The gods kept their promise to me completely.

There were more than sixty casualties in intense combat. But without leaving one scratch, all of it was completely revived. The injured have recovered in the same way, including the seriously injured, who lost about twenty limbs.

Not only the humans, but my beloved horse Kokuyo was back in good health.

About the miracles of the gods, but there was no clapping too fast, and I was given a decree from political thought. If rumors spread that the Lockhart family is a God-blessed being, it is for the empire as well as various forces to interfere.

I can also tell the vigilante members to their families who are evacuating to Kilnarek, but I am ordering them to take great care not to be rumoured.

Those who took part in the battle also cherished this miracle, after which no one ever broke a promise. For this reason, it became rumoured that there had been a battle with the dragons, but there has been no talk of the descent of the gods.

Fighting the Lunas and the Nothingness (Vanitas), but the consequences are yet to be known. However, the strong sense of anxiety that had been felt until then disappeared, which seems to have led to successful sealing.

On the night of victory, just the five of us had a whispering victory feast.

Originally, we should celebrate with all the Lockhart families, but the fact that everyone has met the gods makes it a more solemn atmosphere than usual, with no festive feast.

Only Beltram and the Dwarves drank cheerfully, as usual, but still respected our desire to celebrate quietly.

He enjoys the finest seawell and sparkling wines just off the side of the castle.

"I heard you were impotent."

I've been drinking red wine and saying it in a tone like Beatrice was stunned.

"We met the gods, too," Mel said.

"He asked me to keep an eye on Master Zach to protect the world. I knew Master Zach would be more amazing. I was alerted by the Imperial Chancellor, but Master Zach was alerted by the gods. Huuuuuuuuuu..."

That's what Sharon laughs at.

"You met the gods..."

"Yeah, that's right. When I tried to get under the Dark God (Noctis), I was stopped. Because you might become an evil god. At first I wondered what it was about. But when I heard the story, I was convinced. You could do it."

Liddy snorted and said that with her face, the other three are nodding aloud.

"You know..." but no more words come out.

"But I did the same thing. If you're gone, I'm sure the world will be destroyed."

"Same goes for me. Well, I guess the gods ignored me, too."

Mel and Sharon nod at Beatrice's words.

"But I could ask for a lot of things because of that. We're going to get paid to keep Zach from becoming the enemy of the world."

When Mel looks like he's having fun, Sharon nods, "I think I probably asked him to do the same thing".

"What did you do me a favor?," Beatrice replied on behalf of him.

"He says you can't say it. Especially since you told me to keep quiet."

"Well, I can imagine, so I won't ask, but you're tight"

When I said that and laughed, all four of them were caught by me and started laughing.

(If the original life can be restored, it is worth poking at the gods. It's really like a dream......)

Then peaceful time passed.

Zacharias was now suffering from a disease and his death was approaching. Lydiane is the only one sitting beside the bed after breaking up with her family.

"I enjoyed being with you."

Zacharias said, "Right. I had fun too," he smiles.

Zacharias stares at Lydiane and is in love with her beautiful figure, which is no different from when she first met her.

Her expression was calm, even though the death of her beloved was imminent. Because we have already discussed that many times and we want to have a meaningful last time.

"I want to be with you again..."

"Right. I will definitely be with you. I'm sure..."

That's what I said and held Zacharias' hand.

Then time passes with stories of no other love.

Gradually, Zacharias's consciousness becomes cloudy.

"Never again... together... let's be..."

"Yep. Now let's live the same time..."

When Zacharias was satisfied with the words, he quietly took his breath away.

Lydiane continues to hold his hand without disturbance.

"How can I live in a world without you... hey tell me..."

I held his body tight and started leaking whimpers.

Yataro Kawasaki felt cold in his arm and woke up.

(I'm not supposed to be dead...)

Look around in a cloudy consciousness. That was the apartment where he lived, and there was a can of fallen beer in front of the computer, and that was getting his arms wet.

"Yu, was it a dream... that it was that world..."

I shrugged so, but immediately stood up to myself saying, "I have a towel".

The look on the glass in the sink where I went to get the towel was not Zacharias Lockhart, but the face of Yataro Kawasaki, an indelible middle-aged man of forty-five years.

(Was it a dream after all...... well, of course. And that was a real dream......)

Wipe away any sparse beer on the desk with a towel.

The computer screen showed a page of a WEB novel called "Trinitas Mundus".

He closed his browser without opening the page.

His life has changed since the next day.

Until then, my apathy was gone, I invested in my work and my hobbies, and I had a full day.

One night about a month after I woke up from a dream.

He was drinking cocktails at the destination bar. There are no other customers, just BGM jazz flowing quietly.

"Yataro, you've changed lately," the master talks as he wipes the glass.

"I guess. I'm unconscious."

"I don't think we used to have much fun talking about it, but now I feel different"

"When it comes to talking, it's just about booze," Yataro laughs.

At that time, a doorbell called Karan Karan sounds.

"Welcome......" the master heads to customer service.

The guest looks like a woman, but doesn't see well with dim bar lighting.

Yataro was gauging when to order his next drink.

I can hear a young woman saying, "Have the Olympics."

Although Yataro thought not to ask for a rare cocktail, he was in love with the sound of the shaker his master gently shakes.

"I'm sorry to keep you waiting," Yataro asked for the next drink, confirming that it had been served.

"I need a sidecar."

"That's unusual. You're usually a balalaika or white lady," but you start shaking the shaker.

"Sorry to keep you waiting," he said, slipping a triangular cocktail glass.

"And that's an interesting combination," the master says.

"What?" Yataro tilts his neck.

"The Olympic cocktail word is" a long-awaited reunion. "The sidecar is" always the two of us. "Isn't it like lovers who were far away have reunited with each other? I thought it would be awesome by chance."

"You're rude to me over there," Yataro told the master in the words, turning his face to apologize to the woman, "I'm sorry."

That's where his movements stopped.

"Liddy......" he whines unexpectedly.

The two took their seats at the same time. And ignore the amazing master and hug each other.

"We'll always be together from now on..." says Yataro, Lydiane putting a face on his chest.

"I'm letting you wait too long. I think I've waited hundreds of years since then... but from now on..."

For both of us, this was the beginning of a real dream life.

It's over.
