Drop!! ~A Tale of the Fragrance Princess~ (WN)
Act IX Lady's Call for Testers
Some time after Cordelia attached Elvis and the promise of a territorial visit.
There was a very troubling story going around among Pamela's female servants. It's about "the lady wants a cosmetic subject."
It is a well-known fact that Cordelia is experimenting with Ronnie. But it didn't tell them what they were doing except dealing with herbs, and nobody noticed Cordelia was trying to deal with cosmetics until four days before she issued the notice of recruitment. So to say I was wrapped up in surprise, no one would have expected me to recruit a tester even if they knew I was trying to handle cosmetics.
Conditions for the call for testers were clearly indicated. There are only five conditions.
(1) Persons who are able to undergo massage with perfumed oils currently in circulation for a month
(2) a person who, after the end of the period referred to in (1), can undergo a massage using a new drug for a period of one month;
(3) Persons not likely to be exposed to infants
(4) Benefits as a Subject shall be based on hourly rates of treatment time
(5) In the unlikely event of harmful symptoms to the subject, it is the responsibility of the Pameladian family to treat
In contrast, the servants had doubts about 'how serious this application is'. This is an attractive recruitment for women. The attraction is not that the salary for working in the mansion is low, but there is one thing that attracts me first. And more than that, the great attraction is that "you can use perfumed oils that only high-ranking aristocrats can experience" and "you can get massage treatments". This is a luxury that can be said to be as severe as normal on a regular salary alone.
However, even though the servants had a positive impression, there was also a reason that no one named them as subjects. The first thing I mentioned earlier is, "I don't know if you're serious". That's because at the same time there is a "too much fear of anything" thought base. If it could be considered otherwise, it would be from a far-fetched battle in a user human being that "if you are really recruiting, you should hope for others". But for the most part, I can't think enough to reach a second reason. Your hips will fall apart.
The current situation was also understood by Cordelia, who made the call. I am likely to inform myself of the recruitment and be told "it won't", but to some extent it is within my assumptions. I don't really want to say it this way with Cordelia, but the servant is talking about himself, so I guess something went wrong.
The only thing that you don't think I'm serious about is if you're just a little dissatisfied.
Not without dissatisfaction, but Cordelia never sees this situation as a nervous one. I also understand that I have no choice. And that it won't take much time to solve it.
For example, if someone sacrificed... instead of creating a precedent, there should be no problem.
If you think this is an announcement that we will continue to recruit you, that's fine.
"Hey. Ronnie. You're not going to be a woman?
"There isn't. … please don't be impotent because the subject won't show up at all"
Ronnie tells me like I'm scared, but I'm not serious about Cordelia. About 80% of them say they intend to play. The other 20% is prank.
Cordelia herself is not a subject for a reason.
The first is that it is not desirable for a "lady” to use a thing that has not completed the so-called "poison sight”. Though it has been analyzed once, that is only an assumption. The second is that essential oils are a little too powerful for young people to use. Mint in particular has irritation in young skin. Besides, it doesn't make sense for Cordelia to be a subject because it doesn't make it popular among children.
"So, what do you do? Because Peppermint essential oils and fragrance oils have reached a stable level, we can't talk about it because we're treading on two legs in recruitment."
In Ronnie's words, Cordelia says, "Yeah, but there's nothing particularly wrong with that."
The expectation that applicants would show up where they showed more generosity than they did was not strong. So if you were a hand, you would have thought of something else - rather, if you were a candidate for a subject that you had been thinking about before recruitment, it already exists.
Cordelia grinned and smiled at the samurai who was holding back on her side.
"Hey, Emina. Do you think you could help me?
Samurai with cordelia, Emina.
She is actually born into a noble class but has a history of leaving the house due to your home circumstances... Apparently. And I also hear that Cordelia's sister, Malvina, gave her a hand to serve the Paramedic family. My sister and she don't talk in detail, so Cordelia only hears superficial things.
Cordelia also realizes that Emina is not known among her servants to be from the aristocratic class. Because the work is unplugged and sophisticated among servants, colleagues occasionally seem to say 'like nobility', but that is also only a joke.
So Cordelia also maintains a subordinate stance towards Emina. Emina has also dedicated herself to Cordelia as just a good samurai. I know with Cordelia that it is clear that Emina will not refuse the wishes of the little Lord. I don't have a hand to miss.
But Cordelia and I didn't nominate Emina just to get her involved as a subject.
I would be very happy as a cordelia if I could provide a relaxing environment for my usual thanks. Emina is a very beautiful woman again. That's why I want you to undergo experimental procedures to maintain that beauty.
It is also convenient for Cordelia that Emina is from the aristocratic class. Being a nobleman, she is used to good goods. Pameladian servants are accustomed to seeing good things, except when they become accustomed servants. You will also get your feelings as a nobleman.
There won't be any more subjects than she can relate to winwin. But the view is also “from Cordelia”.
"Am I?
Cordelia stacked her affirmation in Emina's confirmation words.
"Yeah, I'm sure it'll bring good results for you, too."
Emina looked just a little surprised by Cordelia's words, but immediately tells her that she agreed to "do as the lady says". Cordelia smiles at it and says "Yes, please," satisfactorily.
Ronnie shrugged a little as she watched how it went.
"That would be nice."
"... what is it, Ronnie?
"'Whatever you say'. Me, I've never said that, but it feels like a real 'lady' to say something, doesn't it? Let's use it next."
"Ronnie, the lady is always the lady"
Emina replied calmly to Ronnie, who was a little tense.
Cordelia is used to saying this word to Emina. But... I don't have to be ashamed of Ronnie telling me.
But if you deny it here, it also seems to indicate that what Emina is saying is offensive, which is not intentional...
"... Ronnie, do you finish what you said you could do in no time?
"Ugh... well, it's a bummer"
"I trust you."
"Hmmm... just like the lady said,"
I was trying to distract you, but I wonder why you would react so pleasantly if you did. No, Cordelia knows that too. I guess I'm glad to say that I proclaimed it quickly. … utterly, always seems like fun and above all.
Cordelia is asking Ronnie to finish the bottle for storage that she ordered from the tool shop master earlier, that is, to create a lid, etc. Essential oils are susceptible to degeneration. Therefore, color bottles will be used for storage, but sealing cannot be neglected at the same time. Lids matter. What's more, Cordelia had asked Ronnie for a study that wanted to at least kick the air out of the bottle when it was unopened and encourage it to prevent oxidation with gas.... Well, things don't seem to be going very well around me.
"So, Ronnie, would you like me to work with you anew for what's behind?"
"What is it?"
"To test the performance of essential oils, it's not enough for a collaborator to do everything he wants to try, is it?
And Ronnie is the only one who hastily followed Cordelia out of the room. She won't come because she's asked Emina to do another thing beforehand. If the destination were to become a magician's building in the first place, it wouldn't be too familiar to her either.
Cordelia has visited several times with the help of experimental materials, but the magician building itself is not particularly unusual. Apart from the lab and the easy-to-understand interior, the exterior is in line with the main building, so there is no discomfort.
And all the magicians inside have the same attitude as the people in the main building. The only exception is that I'm still worried that Ronnie won't work disrespectfully.
"Dear Cordelia, welcome aboard"
"I'm sorry to interrupt your work. But I came to ask you a favor."
"Is this a request? On what business is that?
Cecily, the chief magician who welcomed Cordelia, is a slightly better width female magician and carries a piercing lock. It is her stance to say that the female year is not something to listen to, but the story of her grandson, who turns 10, is doing well within her peers. Incidentally, the person in charge is water quality control and is responsible for the water revolving used by the Pamela family. It varies from pre-toxicity testing to the development of equipment close to a "tap" using magic ore.
Cordelia told her that she was grinning.
"I'd like to ask you to participate in my experiment."
"Is that what your daughter was looking for?
"Yeah. I'm just asking Cecily to do something a little different than what she's recruiting for. You've been feeling stiff recently, haven't you? I think it's going to work out, so I need you to try Aromabus."
"Aromasu, is it?
"Yeah. I want you to put it on the hot tub.... you should be ready in two days, so I'd be glad if you put some water in the tub and some essential oil and soak it slowly"
Aromasu, and Cordelia giggles once again to the magic master who repeats the unfamiliar words.
It's not like this country has no bathing habits.
I just don't have the idea of mixing something in a tub or soaking it in the first place. The bathtub is a steam bath, although it exists, and the bathtub exists as just for sucking up water in a washer (like) when flushing the body with water. So I said, "Grab it slowly, do you...?," Cecily asked back slightly upset. Cordelia, of course, just smiles and replies.
Preparing an aromatic bus is not difficult. In the original world, he took the method of mixing a small amount of peppermint and lavender essential oil in the hot tub with water. Cordelia believes that if it is the essential oils of the present world, it will have roughly the same effect in half of them. Peppermint helps increase blood flow and relax muscles. Lavender, on the other hand, also contains a relaxing action in the blood flow increasing action.
Lavender's essential oils are incomplete, but the experiment stands as long as we can harvest the flowers in a few days.
(... I can't tell you why Cecily is convenient and how it improves shoulder tightness, but it also measures menopause)
Peppermint is definitely one of the good essential oils for Emina, who asked to participate in the experiment earlier. At the same time, it is undoubtedly the best essential oil for this Cecily. Besides, she's a magician who sees through water quality. It should be up to you to discern whether it is harmful or beneficial to you. If she admits it, it's that other servants have to admit "no doubt".
Of course, Cordelia doesn't have an anxiety element either. Essential oils that suit people vary from person to person. I don't know if it works.
But Cordelia had already acquired the ability to see if the essential oils suited the person or not. The biggest tip is the magical flow of the person. The drift of magic, which is the cause of the malaise that covers the body, can be eliminated with the magic of essential oils. Apparently this is the effect of essential oils in this world.
In addition, Cordelia's … Pameladia's ability has its strengths in itself. It recognises that the ability to degrade applying (or failing) analytical capabilities should play a role in the production of essential oils tailored to people. Cordelia is still unable to use her analytical abilities, but her decomposition abilities, which detach her, have become much more polished. Plant vitality is inherently strong. The aim of the utility is to orient its strengths to ways of harnessing them, but there is also the danger of reinforcing the effects that we do not want to produce on the contrary, or even those that we do not now need. So Cordelia watched Cecily, read its magic flow, and was about to do the mint blending to suit her alone, and the completion of lavender essential oils in three days first. It weakens the potency of some ingredients and strengthens some - it would be laborious and not commercially suitable to do it for each and every one of them. But if it works, 'special' can be useful in the future if you give it to someone special… For example, if you give it to someone with special information.
What still leaves me uneasy is that people still have their own preference for fragrance.
I still don't feel comfortable using it when I don't like the smell. I somehow know if you like the smell or not, but Cordelia hasn't gotten to sure either.
(But now if Cecily gives me a good reply... I'm still a little short on ingredients, but in the future I'll have Bath Salt try as well. It's a good opportunity to change the effects and methods a little bit and see what you know about my experiments -)
Cordelia gave Cecily, who was a little confused, a full child's grin.
This experiment will then spread over time among the servants and become known as "the greatest reward for working in the mansion". And it gets blurry from servant to citizen, and it becomes rumored that the Pameladian family has secret drugs and that servants can use them as well.
This is how Cordelia's essential oils began to attract people's attention before they were officially announced -
