"Jill...... Um, thank you for the gift"

On the road to the witch's house, Cordelia thanked Jill. I wrote it in a letter, but I still want to say it in person. Jill smiled, too, thinking so.

"I'm relieved you liked it."

"The pen and ink were very nice. So... if you don't mind, I'd also like you to tell me about Jill's birthday. I asked Vernault before, you said you forgot, didn't you?

I'll ask you again, Vernault said, but I'm sure they'll forget it stays that way.

That's why Cordelia heard Jill say, "Uh, yeah..." cloudy in reply.

"Jill?"

"Oh, no, I'm sorry. I think I got a little garbage in my eyes..."

"Oh, my God. No, don't rub it. Your eyeballs will get scratched. Somewhere I can wash my eyes..."

"Leave me alone, Dili. I'll be fine anyway. Plus, even if there's garbage in there, tears will come down."

It was Vernor who stopped Cordelia looking around. How cold. Even glancing at Vernault from that thought shelters Vernault in a slight hurry when Jill says, "Yeah, because I'm really fine". I'm not convinced, but if Jill says he's okay, I can't help it. And unfortunately, I'm not likely to find a place to wash it right away.

"Oh, look, I saw the witch's house, too."

In doing so, Vernault pointed to a house with a chimney on a red triangle roof.

There was a small flower bed in front of the house, planted with various plants. And bird figurines made of ceramic hide from the gap.

"Pretty."

"The doctor's house is also a pharmacist. The customers are mostly neighbors and referrals, and at first glance, they don't."

Keeping Jill's description in mind, Cordelia and the others also entered the store after Vernault opened the store door.

"Oh, there you are. Cute customers."

As soon as I entered the store, a calm woman's voice went into my ear.

The Lord of Voices was an old woman with green eyes in aprons. My hair is tied to one behind me and I have a triangular scarf on my head.

"Hello Verno-kun, Jill. This is the girl you were with, Dilly."

Saying so, the woman approached Cordelia in an apron opened her green eyes for a moment.

But 'Huh?' Her expression changed to something soft before Cordelia thought for a moment.

And I broke my knee a little to gaze at Cordelia.

"Nice to meet you, I'm a pharmacist called the Green Witch around here. You like herbs, don't you? Can I call you Dilly?

"Yes, thank you. May I... call you Doctor?

"Hehe, I don't mind."

She also hesitated to call herself a witch in person, so she deepened her grin when Jill asked her nickname for her.

"Thank you for taking Aloe Vera. I was surprised to hear from Jill that you might not be able to wither. How's she doing?

"Yes, I brought this because I'm growing up so well"

"What's this?

"This is Aloe Vera's gel. I made a moisturizer."

That said, the witch showed surprise.

"Though I've heard it from you two...... really, you like medicinal herbs"

Then the witch also spoke to Ronnie, who was out of place.

"Are you Dillie's brother…?

"Yeah, it's something similar. I'll take care of you."

"No. Your brother would be worried that you're such a cute kid"

Ronnie, told by the witch so, was answering with a bitter laugh.

"I'd like to talk more about it, but first let me show Vernor and Jill the challenges I put forward. Dili and your brother, we'll wait a little while. Whatever you have here, you can watch it."

Cordelia, told by the witch so, decided not to hesitate to visit the store.

There was a counter in the store once, but it was all shaped at the far end. Half the store is filled with shelves and bookshelves, and the herbs in the bottle line up narrowly. The other half had two large tables. There was a vase of flowers on one side of the table, and breast bowls and scales on the other desk.

The window right next to the desk is covered with curtains with overlapping laces to prevent direct sunlight. And the herb hangs from the beam just on its side.

Cordelia first approached a glass bottle arranged on a shelf that was nearby. And I decided to see the dried plants in that bottle.

"This is lavender. This is Rosemary."

Regardless of Lavender, Rosemary is an herb Cordelia couldn't get the stock any time soon either. So surprised. Moreover, the condition appears to be of very good quality.

(The one who was getting Aloe Vera. Not surprisingly, of course...)

Still not within my reach, I felt strange to see these.

And I saw the bottle lined up next to it as it was.

"Oh? What is this bright cedar leaf...?

"Oh, this is a tirani leaf, isn't it? It helps reduce inflammation in your throat when you fry and drink it.... So, uncle... Dili didn't know about this? Well, it's not much grass in the woods."

"Tirani... if it's just a name, I've heard of it. But this is the first time I've seen the real thing. Sure, it's a herb that doesn't grow in the north because it loses frost."

"Yeah. I hear it used to be a lot in the mountains, but if you want it now, you'd be more sure to grow it yourself from seeds. There's not a lot of people growing up."

Nodding as to whether this was the Tirani I saw in the book, Cordelia looked further at the bottle lined up next to it.

Then there was something green stuffed like a marimo. Looks like Marimo, but there was no water in it.

"What's this?

"Oh, this is Tika. You can cure a hangover if you dissolve this in water. It tastes pretty exciting."

"That sounds familiar, too. It does grow under trees often when it's wild because it's vulnerable to rain... right?

"Yeah, you're right. Well, it's pretty bad under a tree, so if it's commercial, you'll grow it in a cabin first."

Yes. Cordelia was annoyed to hear Ronnie's commentary and answers.

"Maybe these two are famous herbs?

I didn't think it was that widespread when I saw the name in the book.

But the question arose because Ronnie would give it back as usual. Then Ronnie returns it in a relaxed tone, "That's right.

"At least you're famous enough to compare it to rosemary and lavender. For example... well... maybe a little different, but if it's just fame, isn't there enough difference between a minor rosemary being me and Tika being likened to a king or a prince?"

When Ronnie said that, I heard the sound of a grand slam coming from the table.

"Hey, Jill. Are you okay?" I can see Vernault speaking out, but somehow Vernault also looks like he's laughing.... What the hell happened?

But Cordelia's interest is more grasshoppers on the shelves than those two interactions.

"This is... time and... the roots of Licorice?

The thyme was a small pot planted and I knew right away.

And Licorice had a label on the bottle.

I wasn't actively looking because I was off my primary purpose of making essential oils, but I am familiar with Liquorice and Time.

Liquorice is one of the most beloved plants in the world of previous life since antiquity.

Sweet liquorice water was said to be very popular in the ancient Egyptian dynasty, and there is talk of soldiers eating it to store stamina in ancient Rome. The syrup also works on bronchitis.

On the other hand, thyme was also used to make mummies because of its sterilizing power, a traditional herb. Exactly. Cordelia doesn't have plans to make mummies, but it would be able to make tincture agents with its power and also use them for care around teeth, etc.

(The thyme smells good to burn twigs, right?)

I hope so. I wonder if we can split the seeds. Moving to another shelf in the back with that in mind, there was also a line of plants there that made me want to speak up unexpectedly.

"Is this a wine-pickled hissop?

"I'm surprised again," the witch said to Cordelia as she let a lot of herbs dance in her heart.

"You really like medicinal herbs more than you thought."

"I looked it up in a book"

"Even so, it's amazing. 'Cause it doesn't say how much you don't load a specialty book, does it?

Cordelia laughed a little and deceived the witch who said so.

No way. It's knowledge from a previous life, I can't even say.

"But that's a waste. With all that knowledge, it's a shame you don't have much chance of touching universal herbs."

I guess what the witch calls universal medicinal herbs is about Tirani and Tika earlier. Maybe it's a waste indeed. I think so. To Cordelia. The witch took a book out of the shelf and gave it to Cordelia.

"This book might suit Dilly. Tirani and Tika are compatible with other herbs and are convenient to combine. That's all I'm familiar with. Dili wants to be a pharmacist in the future, right?

"Huh? I, the pharmacist, didn't think"

"Oh? So, why the herbs?

"Well... I'm studying oil production."

Yes Cordelia said, the witch turned her eyes round, but immediately lowered her eyes and smiled.

"Very nice."

"Thank you. But... if I can, I want to be able to grab a lot of herbs. I want to know more about the herbs. Can you tell me, too?

Knowledge of previous life and of the unique magic of this world. Until now, it has been all about combining them. But if we can incorporate this world-specific herb there, it could lead to further improvement and dissemination.

Then... I also admire the sound of a pharmacist. If you can get the knowledge you couldn't find in a book, you can't miss that chance. Cordelia wished on the witch with that in mind.

"Then study with Verno-kun and Jill."

"Thank you"

"No. I would be very happy if my knowledge could help you. So shall I start by entering your studies from the book I just gave you? Ask me whenever you have something you don't know."

Yes, the witch said, and Cordelia approached the big desk.

And then I sat in my seat, opened the book... so I realized Jill was looking at this one.

"Can I help you?

"No... I thought you looked alike"

"Similar?

"How Teacher and Dili laugh. You look alike."

Unfortunately, Cordelia has never seen her smile consciously.

I'm confident I'll make a smile if I want to laugh even if I don't have anything, but I've just never studied my smile in front of a mirror.

"Me, are you laughing softly like a teacher?

"Yeah. I don't know. I feel like I have similar eyes."

Cordelia, who was told so, accidentally saw a witch holding a bottle containing medicinal herbs.

The colors are completely different, but the eyes are similar?

Curiously, Cordelia paid attention to the witch's eyes, but unfortunately she wasn't sure.

But while I was doing so, I saw a witch in my eyes. Then the witch smiled softly. Cordelia grins back at it as well. And take your eyes off the witch and say a word to Jill.

"Thanks"

It is an honest word of gratitude that I conveyed. It's illuminating, but I'm still happy.

... No, it's still illuminating though. But I feel it would be extra embarrassing to be shy here. We also need to flush it cool...... probably.

With that in mind, Cordelia casually glanced over the side of the witch again.

(That?)

I wonder why you remembered some pre-sightedness?

I blinked once thinking so and looked at her again.

(... are you out of your mind)

On second thought, I don't know a woman who would be close to her age. And yet where did you get that impression? That's how I met the woman when I was questioning her. And when I saw the look on the face of the woman who grinned, Cordelia grinned back, too.

If they say it looks like this smile, I figured I'd be happy.
