Drop!! ~A Tale of the Fragrance Princess~ (WN)
Act 48 The Good News is With the Storm (1)
The day she happened to wake up early, Cordelia decided to head to the library by breakfast time. Because it was halfway through sleeping twice, and most importantly, I was waking up neatly.
Even in the early hours for Cordelia, if you look down at the garden, you can see the servants who are already working. The servant holding the flowers must be heading to decorate the vases here and there from now on. I look forward to seeing what kind of decorations it will be.
Cordelia, who from time to time reached the library greeting a different servant, noticed that the lights were already lit in it.
When I walked inside wondering, there was Ronnie surrounded by books.
"Morning, Ronnie. That's a lot sooner."
"Oh, that? Ma'am? Good morning, what time... is it already morning?
"Huh? Yeah. It's a little early for breakfast, though."
Ronnie then gradually turned the eyes he was rounding into something sad and spirited, and manifested his overt regret. And at last, he had his head.
"... you accidentally stayed up all night?
"Yeah...... it was a detour. I didn't realize you were drowsy, but when you find out in the morning, you're drowsy all at once."
With a bitter smile at Ronnie for saying or denying or yawning like that, Cordelia peeked at the book Ronnie was reading. That was written about combat using witchcraft, but the style did not belong to the Kingdom of Christa.
"That's unusual, isn't it?
Cordelia also knows that Ronnie reads books of all kinds, except if they are about foreign combat technology. There's no way Ronnie, who likes to be everywhere in the first place, likes that.
"Right, well, I don't hate reading originally...... I heard a rumor that I was a little curious about, so I thought I'd review it for once"
"Rumors?"
"No, I don't think it's realistic. I recently heard about a strange move in the North in a tavern."
Cordelia blinked at the words as well.
That's a rumor that really catches on.
Located on the north side of the Kingdom of Christa, the Kingdom of Durroughs has often carried out invasions of the Kingdom of Christa since its founding. However, after the reign of the present king some thirty years ago, a truce was reached and has never been broken since. Security along the border is still tight, but no special vigilance is being exercised.
"Weird movement rumors, huh? How about credibility?
I've never set foot in a tavern, so I can't tell Cordelia how useful the information is. But if there really is such a move, it would also affect Elvis and his two brother's vacation. In that case, even Cordelia will realize that something is there, even if she doesn't realize it's caused by the North. So far, there's no such thing.
And most importantly, I'm also concerned that Ronnie, who heard the rumors, hasn't shown up so serious.
"No, I'm not talking about being attacked right away or anything like that. It's just that there's an anti-royalist movement in that country. When I heard about it, I thought," Speaking of Northern magic, it was a different system. "
"... I mean, I was just curious to read the book because I remembered it in a rumor?
"Yeah, that's the place. If I knew, I could handle it in case there was a flying fire over here - I don't care what you say, it's not military. I've never used it, and it's a royal family in that country that's a pain in the ass even in that extremely cold land in the first place. You'll come twisting and crushing."
You should still keep it in mind, but it still doesn't seem like a situation that could be serious right now.
"That would have been nice. The ceremony of your brothers has already been postponed."
The two marriages had grown in relation to Christina, who was conducting a union and institutional review in the matter of Flora Silk, and in relation to Cyrus' mandate. If that's finally the time to...... and it matters, I don't know when it will be next.
Most of all, if that's really the case, I'm not going to talk about it anymore... but if something carefree doesn't happen, that's the best part.
"If it's important that it affects the Wang capital in the first place, your husband won't leave your daughter in the Wang capital. Eldiga is further from Durroughs."
"Right."
Cordelia also smiled bitterly at Ronnie for shrugging her shoulders slightly jokingly.
There would be nothing to be taught if it were to involve the military, but there is a good chance that inspections will be given such instructions in the name of them.
But even though we talk about royalty in other countries, I think royalty is still a difficult thing.
I don't think I can find anywhere a way to satisfy 10,000 people, etc., but if anything, it will be an important thing to rock the country. I felt made to recognise that. Most importantly, the Pameladian family, which has a different size but a different territory, is not a human resource...
"Ma'am, what are you up to?
"Never mind. More than that, Ronnie. Can I read that, too?
"... I won't let the lady read it"
"Oh, why?
"I don't know what to do. And I'm sleepy, too. Ma'am, you've got a lot more to learn. And because you're greedy, you'll need your own time."
Sure, it looks sleepy, but is it deliberate that you haven't hidden the "because it's going to be a hassle" air more than that?
But Ronnie is good too. I need time to do what I want to do, I need time to learn, and I need time to do the magical archery I'm currently teaching in the first place.
"Are you convinced?
"Right. Then I'll ask you to do it again... Ronnie. Could you hang out with me today at that greedy hour?
"Was there something, today"
"I have one document I want to deliver, so I want to go to the office. You can sleep for a while when you get there."
"I'm going, I'm going!! Shall I arrange a carriage?
"Please. Let's leave after breakfast."
Ronnie, smiling like he was bounced off, quickly cleaned up the book and jumped out of the library.
Zero bitter laughs at Ronnie like that, while Cordelia also went back to her room when she took some books.
I didn't plan to, but I mixed up one of the books on Durroughs once.
After breakfast, Cordelia, who was well placed early, accompanied Ronnie and headed to the office.
It was brilliantly sunny enough to think that if Ronnie hadn't been sleepless, it would have felt good walking.
Cordelia, who arrived at the office, dived into the door opened by Ronnie, and immediately met a middle-aged man holding a crate.
"Dear Cordelia, I apologize for this outfit"
"No, never mind. Sorry to bother you."
The man with the good-looking grin of a person is the man in charge of administration and secretary in this office.
Exactly. I can't say Cordelia would "help," but Ronnie took on the package instead.
"This is over there, right?"
"It'll help. Dear Cordelia, this way, please."
At the window table I always use, Cordelia widened the paperwork she brought when she took her seat.
"Here's a list of the books for which there was a donation this time. Some of them will need a little repair later, but we will deliver them to you. I was wondering if it would take ten days."
"I'm in awe. Let us prepare the shelves. Here's a letter from the kids."
"Thank you"
Cordelia glances at the letters she receives, thinking she has more than usual this time.
It's Cordelia's important job to summarize her thoughts back from the kids. Delightful feelings lead to supporter motivation and are a reference when purchasing new books. I'm very excited to see your thoughts because if there are other requests, they can lead to improvements. Plus, it's funny because some of them mix opinions from parents.
"I'd like to slow you down a bit today. Corner of crafts, may I see it?
"Of course it is. Wood-carved dolls representing the animals we have been placing since then are popular as exorcisms, as well as thoughts. The villagers are happy to deliver extra."
The wood-carved doll the secretary said is more of an adorable figurine with an atmosphere such as a rise and fall than a doll. It is a corny rabbit, with two types: one with pinned ears and one dripping. The eyes are filled with small crushed and polished natural stones. Its natural stone color seems to change the effect of exorcism.
Cordelia, distracted by so much cuteness the first time she saw it, had it sold as much as she could get it sold, and handed it off to the servant women. The response from the servant was excellent, and I bought more from the sales corner... I would feel relieved if the sales went up.
(I've been thinking lately that you could actually sell toys made of wood, like a pair of puzzles... let me suggest that when I go to Eldiga)
I don't know if I can really sell it in the first place, but it's the same territory that deals with wood products. Respect what already exists, but be no less a competitor when it comes to creating something new.
(If it's just the amount you can sell here, it might not be a big deal... but you still want the first impact)
Cordelia also included the fact that when she complained to Elvis about her plans to move to the library, she might have something to help her territory. I came up with something that could be a new craft... and I'm going to have a little trouble with it. Balance is also important. The will to do everything in its power to get suggestions from the patrolling villages or discover lovely products is going to continue from the beginning.
"Speaking of which, Master Cordelia. I heard that."
"Huh?"
"You will set up an Earl's shop in Port Town, won't you? You think they serve snacks and sweets that are quite affordable, but very beautiful, in stores that you don't see around here? Do you have any plans to open stores around here as well?
Cordelia was surprised by the words.
"So far, rumors are coming?
What the clerk is saying is that Cordelia started with a crepe or garrett sales plan she had previously taken advice from Cyrus and submitted to Elvis.
Eldiga's plans to offer dessert crepes and garrets of the port town of Welf, which deals with buckwheat flour, at the festival of each other's lands recorded quite a few sales. And then, although it wasn't a big store, it led to setting up one store at a time.
However, careful attention is paid to interiors and conditioning so that at least the number of seats in the store is not in doubt about the format of Pamela. So, I'm making it a price I can behave at without having to, so I was pretty bothered by the initial investment - I didn't even imagine Cordelia was reaching Wang Capital with rumors, even though there were considerable local repercussions.
"Yeah. Some of them seem to decide where to go to visit the store."
It's my first ear.
If that story isn't flattering, it has more publicity than you can imagine.
Should I try putting this on a questionnaire form at the store as soon as possible in order to know the trend of visitors?
"If you're going to be exhibited in the King's Capital, let me show you a nice place. Not as good as the aristocratic neighborhood, but because there's a place for guests with quite a few fat tongues."
"Please do it then."
It seems a little floating, but Cordelia calmed herself down when she first had to calm down and try to grasp the status quo.
It's easy to float, but you have to keep your feet off the ground and roll. Cordelia thought that even those that had piled up could collapse in an instant… etc., and the door at the entrance sounded open.
"Excuse me."
"Oh, isn't it Master Vernault? Good morning."
It's unusual for Vernault to be here early in the morning.
With that in mind, Cordelia heads from the space for the sale of crafts to the entrance.
but Vernor's eyes were connected, as opposed to Cordelia's greeting. And there's no response.
"... are you sorry to add up or subtract?
He looks in a bad mood, not in physical condition, but I tried Cordelia once and for all. I want another answer because I'm in a bad mood and I have difficulty dealing with it - that's what I thought, Vernault takes a long sigh. I was still in a bad mood and seemed to get it right.
"Dili, why aren't you at the Mansion in the morning? I went out, and I heard it was a waste of time."
"Few things like Lord Vernault being able to come to my house in the morning, right? In the first place, they usually check their plans first."
What an eight hit, Cordelia shrugged her shoulders. Unfortunately, I didn't think it was a bad idea at all - but I leaned my neck over Vernault's exaggerated, light-handed response to that.
"Are you sure? I brought you some good news."
"Good news? Master Vernault?
For a moment I thought that would be a letter from Jill, but I immediately reconsidered that it would not. It is uncomfortable for Vernor, who does not know the contents of Jill's letter, to call it good news. Something, if anything. Unfortunately, I can't think of any.
"You want to know?
"... when you get so much messed up, it's like you want to know, you don't want to know... I feel like bad news."
There are no claps, there are indications somewhat drifting that it is not a good thing for Cordelia. There's no basis, but I can't help but think so - Vernault had the same look on Cordelia that I think he did.
"Why do I have to deliver bad news first thing in the morning, it stinks"
"That's true, too, but I don't have the image to bring you the good news"
"Damn, I wouldn't do that if I didn't hesitate. Don't worry, it's definitely good news. I got a review meeting."
"... Huh?
Cordelia tilted her neck unexpectedly, unable to catch up for a moment with the words she heard. Quality Review. Speaking of which, I remembered it was about the time the exhibition started - that is, about the end of the review, but I have some doubts about the news from Vernor. Why do you know that? That's what I think.
"Oh, my God, you're so unresponsive."
"Yeah, that"
"I'll tell you what, it's not a joke or anything. This is communicated to him, so the Count hasn't."
"So how do you know that, Master Vernault?
Without hiding his increasingly frigid expression, Vernault laughed niggly.
"This would be one of the events hosted by the state, wouldn't it? As a rule, the Queen involved in the censorship will also issue a circular, but this year the Honorable Sylvester will be entrusted with the circular."
"... could it be"
"It's just convenient, I took care of it. The mailman has informed me. Why don't you go to the castle? Winners."
I thought I heard the word somewhere that the Grand Bookshelf entry permit was waiting... but Cordelia was just the best way to hold her tight face -.
