It didn’t take Lin Qi long to arrive near Hongshan Camp.

Using his Spiritual Vision, Lin Qi "saw" the scene inside Hongshan Camp.

Just as Lin Qi had predicted, all six Tier Three Blood Moon Envoys had arrived at Hongshan Camp.

’Six Tier Threes. My Spiritual Power is only stronger than one of them. I can’t even break through the passive spiritual defenses of the others.’

Lin Qi assessed the situation. He could take one of them out instantly, but he’d have to find another way to deal with the remaining five.

Lin Qi’s Ability was based on his Spiritual Vision. While normally very effective, it had limited use against targets with a higher Extraordinary Level than his own.

In other words, Lin Qi could easily annihilate anyone weaker than him, regardless of their numbers.

But against those stronger than him, it was much more troublesome. He needed to plan meticulously to have any chance of taking down a higher-level opponent.

This was just such a situation. With five Tier Three Extraordinaries present who were stronger than him, Lin Qi needed to devise a detailed plan before he could act.

’Based on my experience, the combat power of Tier Three Extraordinaries in the Doomsday World is nowhere near that of those in the Cyber World. The power of my Prosthetic Body should be enough to take care of them, but the problem is, they have hostages now.’

Lin Qi focused his attention on the interior of Hongshan Camp.

The six Moon Worshipers were currently seated in the camp’s temporary command post. The camp’s senior staff, meanwhile, had been bound tightly and tossed to one side.

"Jin Wei, what do we do now? To stop the Dragon Country Command Headquarters’ operation, we have to eliminate Mo University Camp. That place is a massive threat to the Blood Moon."

"I actually think that if we just control this location, the item from Jin Wei’s intelligence report can’t be transported to Mo University Camp."

"That’s not an option! If we’re delayed in Modu for too long, the other Blood Moon Envoys will surpass us. When the Blood Moon finally revives, we won’t be among those closest to it."

The Moon Worshipers spoke in different languages, yet they communicated without issue. Lin Qi, however, couldn’t understand them.

The only one Lin Qi could understand was Jin Wei.

Jin Wei, the Blood Moon Envoy from Dragon Country, had clearly become the core of the team. "Enough arguing," he said. "Jin Xiangyi is right. Our target is Mo University Camp. We must eliminate that man, Lin Qi."

Receiving Jin Wei’s approval, the Blood Moon Envoy named Jin Xiangyi looked pleased and asked, "What’s our plan of action? The weapons at Mo University Camp are too advanced; we might not be able to match them."

The other four Blood Moon Envoys looked at the two of them, waiting for Jin Wei’s instructions.

Jin Wei remained cautious. He frowned in thought before laying out his plan. "Mo University Camp’s strength lies in its technological weaponry. If we can infiltrate their ranks and get close to our target, he’ll be no match for us."

"I’ve had run-ins with people from the Dragon Country Command Headquarters. Their strongest soldier has only just reached Tier Three. When it comes to high-end combat strength, we Moon Worshipers have a huge advantage."

After saying this, Jin Wei looked over at the bound captives—Ding Yang and the other senior staff of Hongshan Camp.

He continued, "From what I know, Lin Qi is familiar with a man named Ding Yang. If we have Ding Yang lead the way, and we put on rescue team uniforms, we’re guaranteed to get close to Lin Qi."

In the corner, the tightly bound Ding Yang heard this and fell silent.

’Lead the way for them?’

’Are they kidding me?’

’I’d rather die than commit such a treacherous act!’

Ding Yang glanced at the corner of a nearby table, his expression hardening with resolve.

However, after the Moon Worshipers exchanged a few more words among themselves, Jin Wei reassured them, "It’s fine. If Ding Yang would rather die than submit, then let him die. We can manipulate flesh and blood, after all. Controlling a dead man is much easier than controlling a living one."

’Fuck!’

Ding Yang cursed inwardly.

’What kind of twisted Ability is that?’

’Manipulating flesh and blood?’

’Doesn’t that mean I’d be branded a traitor even in death?’

Ding Yang’s gaze shifted again, this time to a glass water pitcher nearby.

’If I die a gruesome enough death, my face full of glass shards, maybe Lin Qi won’t even have to get involved. Wang Ziru would be able to tell something is wrong.’

Ding Yang looked for a chance to disfigure himself.

In Ding Yang’s mind, Lin Qi was a good man—the kind of man who could save Dragon Country from its current crisis.

’Even if it costs me my life, I can’t cause trouble for Lin Qi.’

If disfigurement wasn’t enough, then...

Ding Yang’s gaze shifted once more, darting toward the gate of Hongshan Camp.

A small launch vehicle was parked there. It had been specially delivered by Headquarters and contained a small nuclear warhead.

Due to the limitations of the apocalypse, its launch range was no more than five kilometers. It used inertial guidance, which meant it would veer off course if the target was too distant.

If he could, Ding Yang was even considering finding a way to detonate it.

’At worst, we’ll all go down together!’

’With the yield of this small nuke, an explosion at Hongshan Camp would affect Mo University Camp, but it wouldn’t be enough to deal a devastating blow.’

A torrent of thoughts flooded Ding Yang’s mind, but the reality was that he was bound so tightly he couldn’t move an inch.

As a man from Dragon Country himself, Jin Wei understood the mentality of its rescue teams all too well: they would fight to the death at the slightest provocation. His preparations had been thorough.

"But the problem is, which one is Ding Yang."

Jin Wei stood up and walked over to the group of senior staff from Hongshan Camp.

He had intelligence, but it was all text-based.

Just as he didn’t recognize Lin Qi, he had no idea what Ding Yang looked like either.
