A new prompt appeared in the scope of Wang Qiang’s Widowmaker.

Through the scope, the red silhouette detected through the plane’s fuselage was rapidly expanding, as if it were about to become a monster.

’What in the world is that?’

Wang Qiang saw the "monster." Just before a bullet powerful enough to pierce the head of a Tier Four Extraordinary could hit, the second Tier Three Blood Moon Envoy in the cockpit transformed into a monster.

Within the scope’s field of view, countless tentacles suddenly sprouted from the red silhouette.

Its head caved inward, completely enveloped by the tentacles.

In a near-instant, it lost all semblance of a human form.

Realizing what was happening, Wang Qiang quickly took aim at the Tier Three Blood Moon Envoys in the passenger cabin and fired in rapid succession. As he did, he alerted Lin Qi, "The Tier Three Moon Worshipers can transform into monsters!"

The Dragon Country Command Headquarters had no experience fighting Blood Moon Envoys, nor were they aware of their abilities. Wang Qiang was simply reporting what he was seeing.

Wang Qiang fired his remaining eight bullets as fast as he could. Catching the Blood Moon Envoys in the cabin off guard, he put a round through the heads of three more. They died instantly, before they could even use their powers.

The remaining Blood Moon Envoys, just like the one in the cockpit, instantly transformed, their bodies contorting as they became monsters.

"I got four of the Tier Threes, but the other twelve have turned into monsters!"

Out of ammunition, Wang Qiang lowered the Widowmaker and moved to Lin Qi’s side.

Lin Qi hadn’t been idle. He had used his Prosthetic Body to launch four S-Class Little Flying Stick mini loitering munitions. While monitoring their trajectories, he asked Wang Qiang, "What form did the monsters take?"

The mention of "transforming into monsters" was particularly alarming to Lin Qi.

Blood Moon Envoys had a known connection to Wizard Professionals, and Wizards possessed the ability to transform into Tentacle Monsters.

More importantly, Wizards gained this transformative ability at Tier Three.

The pressure on Wang Qiang hadn’t lessened in the slightest, despite there being four fewer Tier Threes. He first described the scene to Lin Qi: "All the scope shows is a red silhouette. Based on its shape, it seems to have sprouted numerous slender tentacles. Its torso and spinal structure look like they’ve just... vanished."

After finishing his description, Wang Qiang added a word of caution. "Even though four are dead, that still leaves twelve Tier Threes and over a hundred Tier Twos. We can still get out of here if we retreat now."

Standing beside Lin Qi, Wang Qiang followed his gaze.

The exhaust trails of the four Little Flying Sticks vanished after traveling just over a hundred meters.

The first hundred meters were just the launch phase. The real killing power came from the mid-course boost, provided by high-energy particle thrusters.

After a kilometer, their velocity would match that of a bullet from the Widowmaker.

Even with Wang Qiang’s vision, he couldn’t possibly track the path of the S-Class mini loitering munitions beyond a kilometer.

Lin Qi, on the other hand, could "see" them. He wasn’t relying on his own eyesight or even his Spiritual Vision, but on the trajectory simulation run by his Intelligent Brain.

Theoretically, the munitions could even be remotely steered to change course.

Unfortunately, in the post-apocalyptic environment, signal interference became too severe beyond a hundred meters, rendering the remote control function useless.

"These Moon Worshipers are weaker than I expected."

But Lin Qi just shook his head, with no intention of retreating.

Lin Qi hadn’t even deployed half of the assets he had prepared. Yet, from the looks of it, there would be few Moon Worshipers left alive after these four Little Flying Sticks found their marks.

After all, Lin Qi had been fully prepared for a direct, brutal confrontation with the Blood Moon Envoys.

These were Blood Moon Envoys, after all!

Beings whose very existence depended on the cultivation of Tier Four Monsters.

Lin Qi had initially assumed the Blood Moon Envoys would be incredibly powerful—special beings with an intricate connection to the Blood Moon itself.

"A sniper rifle took out four of them. Looks like I overestimated the Blood Moon Envoys."

Lin Qi muttered to himself, completely ignoring Wang Qiang’s growing anxiety.

According to the trajectory simulated by his Intelligent Brain, the micromissiles were about to reach their targets.

...

Aboard the plane, Jin Wei had been lucky enough to survive the first volley.

But the monster he had become was splattered with crimson blood, and fragments of a skull were even embedded in its tentacles.

"Jump! Everyone, jump! Get out of this plane!"

Even Tier Three Extraordinaries were just sitting ducks in mid-air if they couldn’t fly.

Jin Wei had a premonition that an even more ferocious attack was coming.

’Damn it!’

’What kind of weapon is this?’

’Since when did the Dragon Country government develop such a terrifying weapon?’

’Field one generation, keep one hidden, and develop the next...’

’Could that doctrine actually be true?’

’Had the Dragon Country government already become this powerful in secret, even before the apocalypse began?’

Without a moment’s hesitation, Jin Wei’s tentacles shot toward a cabin window, piercing it instantly. With immense power, he easily tore the fuselage apart.

A violent gale ripped through the plane’s interior, sending the hundred-odd Moon Worshipers staggering.

None of the Moon Worshipers were wearing seatbelts. In an instant, dozens of Tier Two Moon Worshipers were sucked out of the gaping hole.

It wasn’t just Jin Wei tearing the plane apart. The moment he made his move, the other Tier Three Moon Worshipers followed his lead.

’This Moon Worshiper from the Dragon Country must know something!’

’Following him can’t be a mistake!’

The warning Jin Wei had specifically come into the cabin to deliver had worked. At least most of the Tier Threes were now mentally prepared, understanding that this operation might not go as smoothly as they had imagined.

’This Mo University Camp, after all, is capable of launching rockets. Who knew? They might even have nuclear weapons hidden here.’
