A single sentence from Baili Xueyuan sent Lin Qi’s mind racing.

The Talents of the Wizard and Blood Robe Extraordinary Professions are hereditary. I didn’t have time to investigate in detail back then, so I couldn’t be sure. But now, I am certain you are a Wizard Professional."

After her simple explanation, Baili Xueyuan added, "You can relax. I have no ill will toward Wizard Professionals, especially since you’re Lin Xin’s brother."

Lin Qi breathed a small sigh of relief. Baili Xueyuan didn’t know much; she had only seen through his identity as a Wizard Professional.

’Thank goodness she doesn’t know about the internal affairs of the Highest-Level Mercenary Corps. If all my past activities in the Mercenary Corps were exposed, I’d probably have to die of social embarrassment for a while.’

Lin Qi was silent for a moment before deciding against any attempt to argue.

Hearing this, Lin Qi couldn’t help but grow curious. "When did you start suspecting me again?"

Baili Xueyuan smiled and said, "Today."

Lin Qi was even more surprised. ’What did I do today to arouse Baili Xueyuan’s suspicion?’

’That shouldn’t be it. Everything I told Lin Xin was verifiable, all information that Liu Xuan could have investigated.’

Baili Xueyuan found Lin Qi’s expression quite interesting, but she didn’t tease him for long. She wasn’t interested in married men, especially not young ones, and certainly not her student’s brother.

Lin Qi couldn’t quite figure it out and could only listen patiently for Baili Xueyuan’s explanation.

Lin Qi finally fell silent.

He never would have imagined that the reason for his exposure was so simple. All he did was be a good person and heal Brother Green Hair a little too thoroughly.

"So, you’re saying you don’t actually have any direct evidence that I’m a Wizard Professional?" Lin Qi asked after a moment of silence.

Baili Xueyuan nodded. "You are indeed cautious enough. I went through all the intelligence department’s files and found no trace of you ever using Extraordinary Power. Even with the internal healing of the Abnormal’s head, there’s no direct evidence it was you."

In the end, Baili Xueyuan had simply guessed.

If she weren’t Lin Xin’s teacher, and if Lin Xin’s Talent weren’t so strong, she would never have relied on such trivial details to deduce that Lin Qi was a Wizard Professional.

After hearing Baili Xueyuan’s words, Lin Qi once again searched for answers deep in his mind.
