Lesson 10: The Alliance of the King's Capital

When I left the inn early in the morning, I went to the Adventurer's Guild.

Many of the adventurers return in the evening after being asked to do so early in the morning. That came at this time because even the Wang capital would be no different, so if we were to look for people, it would be better during the time of many people who are likely to be able to make contact.

Exactly. The building was bigger than Alistair's, just because it was an Adventurer's Guild in the King's Capital.

"Ugh..."

Some adventurer guilds are so overflowing that they are incomparable with Alistair.

There is also a large number of receptionists, but there was a long line in front of the reception counter.

"That's a great number of people..."

"Have you ever been to the Adventurer Guild?

"You've never been to a guild in the King's Capital before. I've been to the Lemirth Adventurer Guild a couple of times, but I can't compare it to here."

We both wait for our turn to come as we line up in a long queue.

After waiting more than enough, our turn finally came.

"Welcome to the Adventurer Alliance. What can I do for you today?

The receptionist asks about the matter in a bright tone.

"It seems that an adventurer named Olga is in the guild of the King's Capital, can I see that person?

Olga. That's the name of the adventurer Sylvia's father was partying with.

Apparently there are other people named Lazaro and Pops, but Mr. Olga is the leader of the party.

Apparently, that means Sylvia wasn't introduced to party members by her father either, but that those names came up in the Adventure Tan your father talks about.

Also submit an Adventurer card to indicate that you are an adventurer in the industry.

But the receptionist was shaking his neck sideways without checking my adventurer card.

"Unfortunately, the Alliance does not do anything to give you personal information about an adventurer you are registering, even if the adventurer is the other person"

"I just want to make contact to talk to you for a second, can't I?

"I'm sorry"

When the receptionist says no, I can leave the front of the counter. The receptionist was responding to the adventurer who was right behind us.

Probably the reaction would be the same if I switched to another receptionist.

The Alliance has a lot of information about adventurers that others don't want to know about. Even though such guilds are easy information, they lose credibility once and for all by imitating them like giving away personal information about adventurers. If this was a famous adventurer in Wang Du, he would have handled things a little differently, such as asking what was going on, but unfortunately this is a new adventurer who just came to Wang Du yesterday.

"So, what do you do?

I can't find one of your friends when he says he came to the Adventurer Alliance to talk to one of your father's people.

Sure, the guild didn't give me personal information, but then we're just talking about changing the other guy.

"Ask the adventurer next. The guild may be forbidden to teach by the rules, but the adventurer is not tied to anyone."

Fortunately, there are plenty of adventurers in the guild to listen to.

Some adventurers seem drunk and light-mouthed because they have a tavern that is the same in every guild.

"But you tell me so easily?

"No problem. Because I use magic to hear it out."

"Huh?"

Take Sylvia, who you don't quite understand, and approach the side of the adventurer who is drinking alone in the corner of the tavern.

Nothing. I don't use special magic like labyrinth magic.

I just use magic that anyone can use as long as the conditions are met.

"What, are you in?

Even if you're drunk, you're just an adventurer. A man who notices my signs. The adventurer approaches me and turns his gaze towards me.

Place the big silver coin gently in front of the man.

"I need to ask you something"

"If you can answer me, I'll answer you."

"Eh."

Sylvia sees it with her eyes like she said something, but this is the surest way.

Most humans are vulnerable to gold. If you're an adventurer looking for a thousand bucks, your mouth will be lighter just to luxury your liquor bill because it's also remarkable. They resent you if you sell information that disadvantages you as an adventurer, but it's up to you to decide if it's information you don't have a problem talking about.

It's magic that anyone can use if they meet the condition that they only have the money they can give them.

The power of gold is great.

"Olga is looking for an adventurer. I don't care if you're a party member."

"Olga?"

A drunk adventurer looks inside the guild with a vain eye.

Eventually, you find the person you're looking for. Point to the front of the bulletin board with the request form on it.

If he's Olga, he's over there.

In front of the bulletin board stood a man bigger than me carrying a great sword, and a man with a sword and a shield, a man in his thirties equipped with bows and arrows in a light outfit called a chest and robe.

"The man with that great sword is Olga"

"Thanks"

Put down another large silver coin as a thank you and leave the spot behind.

Thanks to what I found out in my first interview, I was able to find it faster than I expected.

Speaking to Olga, who was inquisitive of the request in front of the bulletin board, she told him that she wanted to talk a little bit and he was taken to the dining room where he was going. Everyone had already finished breakfast, but I decided to ask for another meal because my body is an adventurer of capital, and I was given an information fee by paying for that meal.

"What, is your daughter Lardo's guy's daughter? I've been working with him for quite a while, but I never heard he had a daughter."

Mr. Olga was giggling and gazing at Silvia.

Next to it, Mr. Lazaro, like an unequipped warrior, and Mr. Pops, the bowman, were looking at Olga, the leader with troubled eyes.

"I'm sorry. I'm glad to see your daughter."

Mr. Pops responds with a low profile despite our parents and the same generation.

He used to talk to me normally at first, but when I finished introducing myself, it became a tribute. Respect is fine, I said, but there is no sign of ever stopping. Apparently, they're constricting against me with a higher adventurer rank than they are. They have been adventurers for years and were able to reach the C-rank, but more than that - they were not able to reach the B-rank by being recognized by the Alliance Master.

I guess that's why you envy me for the strength recognized by the Alliance Master.

Nevertheless, my prowess is all I got from becoming a labyrinth lord.

"So, what do you want to hear?

Mr. Olga, who was laughing when he met an unexpected opponent, takes a serious look.

"I've known since I came to King's Capital yesterday that my father is suspected of being a criminal. I want you to let me know if you know anything about it."

"After all, about the matter..."

Sometimes my daughter came asking, and she even expected what she wanted to know to be about her father.

After all, if the person I was partying with, though sometimes, was suspected of being a criminal, I would have cared, and would have gathered information.

"First of all, how far do you guys know the situation? You must know some circumstances to see where you are enslaved."

Mr. Olga's gaze was directed at Sylvia's collar.

It has been decided that slaves should not hide collars or other restraints to clarify their identity. For that reason, if you look at Sylvia's neck, you can easily see that she is a slave. I guess you expected me to be your husband because Sylvia, a slave, is acting with me.

"I hear my father killed a nobleman and worked stealing"

"I'm something like that."

"I see. Are you sure you only have information to the extent of rumors"

Mr. Olga drinks the water all at once.

"It started ten days ago. We met him perfectly at the guild. We invited him to work, but he said 'I got a big mouth job in' and he said no. The next day, a murdered aristocratic private soldier came and showed him his sketch and said, 'Are you sure about this guy?' I was asked. This one is just an adventurer. You can't just throw up a lie on a nobleman, so I told him his name honestly."

"Was it nobility that was killed?

"Precisely the man before you."

Then I can snort the heat into the search.

Teng himself, who killed him, could not be caught, and instead he caught Sylvia, his daughter.

I guess it's leaping from the fact that some nobles have been murdered inside their bodies because they have strangely high pride.

"Besides, I have been witnessed with jewels that my former lord should have had in a private soldier who was unluckily in the museum when he fled. That's where the sketch comes from, and he's the killer."

"Oh no... my father is not the kind of person to do that..."

"I don't know how you valued Lardo's guy, but it's easy for him to sneak into the aristocratic hall. We have all the circumstantial evidence, and maybe he's really the killer because he's still on the run."

Sylvia's expression turns blue in response to that word.

Mr. Olga seemed to have something to be sure of.

"Do you have any basis?

"It's not as good as evidence, but he only has one special skill."

Skills, huh?

When I looked at Sylvia, you didn't remember. I was tilting my neck. Skills I kept secret from my family as well.

"What he had was a skill called 'Wall Out'."
