Lesson 9: Alliance Master of the King's Capital

"No, thanks to you, I was able to get to King's Capital sooner than planned"

"That's good."

After noon on the fifth day after leaving Alistair.

The itinerary, which was initially scheduled to take seven days because it was a trip while camping, could be shortened by two days due to the effect of making the camp comfortable.

It would be three days if we did everything we could.

I get an autograph from my client's merchant to complete the request and head to the Guild of the King's Capital.

Wang Capital's guild was crowded with people despite the time it was supposed to be less of an adventurer that it was after noon. Unlike Aleister's neighborhoods, Wang Capital's guilds have few jobs coming around to adventurers because the Wang Capital's army is taking care of them. Instead, it is not necessary to go out early in the morning because of the many chores requested by the nobles.

"Ma, Mr. Mars!?

I'm surprised to see Mr. Liliana coming into the Adventurer's Guild like she's in charge in our King's Capital.

The voice caught my attention from the other adventurers who were in the guild.

"Hey, they said they destroyed the Imperial Army in the war."

"It's a shame, but only a little over 10,000 knocked him out, and most of them seem to have escaped."

"I wish I had wiped them all out anyway."

"We're busy getting rid of bandits because we let them get away with it."

It's only been a few days and they know we got rid of the Imperial Army.

I had no problem with it because I thought it would be known as nature in more time. But I can't tell you the number of bandits has increased because of us the last guy said, but he's not convinced by what he said, so he ignores the wild horses and heads to the counter where Mr. Liliana is.

"Excuse me, please accept the request"

"Yes, this time you were asked to escort me."

Mr. Liliana will handle the paperwork by hiding the ugliness that first found me.

Remove thirty gold coins of the reward from the drawer under the counter. I can see how much foil there is in the A-rank Adventurer thing when you get this much for just five days of escort.

Then we'll go home.

"Excuse me. When Mr. Mars arrives, he tells me to show him to the Alliance Master's room."

If it's true, I was thinking of going back to Alistair before I got into trouble, but Liliana hit me first.

I have no choice.

She leads us to the third floor, where the Guildmaster's office is located.

Speaking of which, you never met the guild master in King's Capital.

"Be careful. The Alliance Master here is a crook."

"I don't like her either"

I am advised by Melissa and Illis, who have met with the Alliance Master.

I know that England, who was an A-rank adventurer, would have met the Alliance Master, but where did Melissa meet?

"I was introduced to the Alliance Master while I was getting along with a merchant from Wang Du. If you want to describe her in a nutshell, it's 'old school'. Never let your appearance fool you."

I didn't really know what Melissa's advice meant, but I'll just nod.

What kind of guild master would you be seeing?

Alistair and Krashel are the guild masters I've met. Both were musculoskeletal men even in the middle age because they were former adventurers and knights who worked out when they were younger.

Is the guild master in Wangdu the same person?

"Come in."

Soon a voice returned from the inside to Liliana, who apparently had reached the Guildmaster's office and knocked on the door.

But this voice belongs to a woman.

"Excuse me."

A woman in her early twenties or so, a little older than us, sat on the couch and put her arms and feet together when she walked in with a greeting.

"Atashi is the guild master Louise Sheffield. I don't like being called Alliance Master or anything, so don't call me Mr. Louise."

"Ha..."

The woman in front of you is still like an Alliance Master.

The Alliance Master I know has a completely different image.

Slurry stretched feet, as voluminous as Ira's, but with an even proposition. Clear ice blue eyes with dark green hair. Everyone was someone who admitted to being beautiful.

"Please don't fall in love with me. She's an old woman over ninety."

"Huh......!?

You don't look very 90.

He looks the same age as us.

"Kuku, is that little lady jealous a little while ago?

"It's not like that. You don't have to be jealous of an old woman."

"You don't need delusion because Atashi knows exactly what you look like. Still, you found your magical talent and turned it down while you were trying to be an adventurer."

"There was a lot going on."

Sounds like it.

Mr. Louise's gaze at me, who used to talk about flowering into stories.

I guess this guy is also like a replacement for Melissa.

You're not supposed to like being like me for someone like that.

"Relieved. Atashi wasn't just interested in Melissa, he was just interested in the adventurers who shot her all the way to Illis."

"Really?

"Oh. I can see all kinds of guys when I've lived ninety years. You're one of those guys who's changed a lot."

Looks like he's really been alive for 90 years.

"She's an elf."

"... I've never seen it"

It is an elf said to live in the tree sea further south of Alistair on the border that I have not seen much of, but rarely show up among them, because of the low number of subhumans themselves. Elves are said to be a closed race and only a few outside the tree sea.

Elves are also convinced that the actual and apparent ages do not match.

Apparently the elves live over a hundred years and their appearance age is fixed between the late teens and early twenties.

"So you called us in to talk about the old days?

"Then I'll go home. Unlike Mr. Louise, we're busy."

Do you have any bad memories? Melissa and Iris left early. I did.

"You're a bunch of little girls."

Mr. Louise takes a single envelope out of his nostalgia.

"Atashi called you because he asked you to give him a letter, besides the reason he wanted to see the guys who shot you who didn't dare ask you out no matter how much. Looks like you've been watching a lot of bad guys."

"Shit guys...... are they from the back organization?

Me too... I've never even seen Melissa live in Wangdu for a long time, but I've heard stories about reaching out from behind and having an influential organization. It was the common view that such an organization was fine and had hands on kidnapping and robbery-related crimes, and that it was a dangerous organization.

"If they were such cute people, I'd still be glad"

But it wasn't such an organization that Mr. Louise taught me.

"This is...!

Melissa is surprised the moment she sees the seal that was being pressed by turning over the envelope that Mr. Louise gave me. There was a crest there that we didn't know about.

"This is a royal seal."

"What?"

Unexpectedly sees Mr. Louise.

"That's right. It was brought to you by the Royal Castle Home Secretary. The guy I brought didn't say a word about the sender, but it's like he's saying who's the sender at a time when he's waxing like that."

A letter with an unacceptable wax that only royalty would use.

The sender is royalty - the person who most wanted to avoid getting involved.
