Dungeon Master Makeup Money (formerly known as Dungeon Master Funding)

Episode 26: The Party of the Gemstone Nobles

"Looks like you've made a lot of money."

"Sort of."

Rio finally came back to his room after finishing his greeting around by the end of the first day of the auction.

Today's loot was arranged on a table in the center of the room.

Hihiirokane ring with a crimson glow.

A ring with a gem that emits a golden light.

Necklace with blue jewels.

Bright red brooch.

Me and Sylvia found the diamond.

I really wanted to win the bid because the jewels build up a lot of magic.

The rings and necklaces were on display at the party venue, and thanks to what Iris and Ira had found, I was able to set my aim.

Since the brooch was not on display at the party venue, it could not be examined beforehand, but the moment he appeared at the auction venue, he was able to examine the value, so he was allowed to make an instant judgment.

They all seem to have been produced from the labyrinth. [Appraisal] could be used, so it was found that they were accumulating magic power.

There were other things that were likely to be profitable, but if I won too many bids, other participants would resent me. I asked the other participants to mind and refrain from winning any further bids.

"That was quite a fight."

Not willing to win the bid from the outset, Rio seemed to have enjoyed watching the auction.

It just looks like he's dropping a lot of money if you try it on him.

"Some of them were critical profits, but they made me make good money."

Some items have become more expensive than expected due to the fact that the person you are really competing against won't break it.

Still profitable.

"I brought you such a troublesome request."

"Yep."

I wanted to take my time in the inn if I could.

At the end of the first day of the auction, there were no people from the venue. Nevertheless, many of the participants are aristocrats and large merchants from afar, so after this there must be a fancy dinner party to talk to the aristocrats.

Fortunately, we're not called because we're not nobles.

"I hear Count Ament wants to invite you to his party."

"Mr. Garland."

"There are two reasons to call it a party. He wants to thank you for yesterday. Another reason they want to call someone who won the gem at today's auction for a viewing party."

You're a child.

"Don't say that. The Amentes seem to have a lot of gem lovers for a long time because they own mountains where they can mine gems. Even today's auction was almost halfway through his jewelry relationship."

When competing off a necklace, it was hard to have someone to catch the winning bid like competing.

I couldn't confirm the person's face in a private room position, but it would be the person Mr. Garland was competing for in circumstance.

"I even knew that I was the emperor who was using this room, but the emperor's me couldn't be in the auction. That's why they want to invite adventurers who have won various gems and helped themselves."

"I see."

Both only have handouts to Rio.

That's why they asked me to invite Mr. Garland to bid one jewel after another at the auction when Rio visited to say hello.

"What do we do?

Talk to Melissa and Sylvia who sit next door.

I don't know him as far as I'm concerned, so I'm wondering if I could join him.

"I can't say anything because I just listened."

"I'm worried about Mr. Garland's health."

I'm being attacked by a thief, even though he just stunned me.

Sylvia is genuinely worried about Mr. Garland, who explained himself comfortably at the party venue.

"Then go."

There's no reason to say no, so I'll admit it.

"By the way, is the hanging shaft okay?

The hanging shaft is not on hand because it has already been [magic converted].

I was going to convert the jewelry together later, so it was still untouched, so it stays.

"He's a jewel-loving Earl of Ament. I wouldn't be that interested in hanging shafts."

All you have to do is tell him that if he shows interest in it, he won't have it at hand.

"With that said, will you not abuse our King Prince?

"You wouldn't go inside abusive like that."

Rio says so, but he stayed on his knees all morning and so on.

He seemed to be back at the auction this afternoon, but he didn't bring much money or he could only win one item.

"The King Prince has been called to the party."

It was also a luxurious gold ring that King Randolph Prince won the bid.

Unfortunately, we didn't participate in the competition because we just didn't have a lot of power because it looked fancy.

Mansion owned by the Ament family.

Nearly a hundred people had been invited into the wide hall.

"Hey, long time no see."

"You look good"

The moment I walked into the hall, Mr. Garland greeted me with a smile.

He is taught that it was I who won several gems from Rio's mouth.

"You guys wanted to invite me to thank you. Have fun with the rest of us today."

"Thank you"

All four of them are dressed.

I'm still wearing my suit, too.

Exactly. Servant and adventurer clothes were hesitant at the party.

Mr. Garland will guide you to the center of the party venue. At the centre there was a large table, on which a variety of gems were arranged. In front of the gems, the winning nobility boasted.

The jewels were expensive at a glance even for children, and the possession of them represented the nobility's financial strength.

"That's amazing."

"I guess so. Why don't you guys line up?

I'm not going to brag about it.

However, the fact that I was able to invite someone with this many items still leads to Mr. Garland's assessment.

Place the diamond that stands out most from the guilt you couldn't protect you at the party venue.

"Well, this is the diamond that was on display at the party venue."

"Yes, there will be no more conspicuous gems"

The gaze of the invitees who were currently looking at the jewels is simultaneously directed at the diamonds.

"Did you win this bid?"

"Yes."

"Do you want to win this many diamonds? I was wondering if you could give me your name."

People who thought I was a nobleman come and talk to me in unison.

Tell Sylvia and the others to stay away from each other in a conversation. Because if you do something like sexual harassment, you may not be able to help.

Appropriately deflect questions from nobles.

Leave it to be mistaken without saying anything conclusive. I've been mistaken for a more powerful nobleman, because he says a lot of information.

"With that said, are you listening? New Emperor's Sent Emperor's Proclamation"

"He will not attack the kingdom while he is in power."

He made me promise not to invade the kingdom.

"You're probably afraid of the person who destroyed our nation's army,"

I also declare that I do not intend to be involved in the war.

"It's utterly lamentable... it's troubling for the weak emperor too, but we're talking about a friendship already in secret. You won't have to attack here."

But there is a deadly problem with this promise.

"Right. Today, His Majesty the Emperor is provoking me to see how His Royal Highness the King is doing, but in that way, you're likely to attack me from the other side."

"Then we'll take our supplies from the other side."

As they say, there's absolutely nothing wrong with fighting for the Empire when it's attacked.

I knew about the problem, too, but I'm not going to help someone who's about to lose by staying attacked from me.

So when Prince Randolph decides to go to war of his own free will, he will not cooperate at all.

Leave in front of the table where the gems are placed.

The diamonds have been set aside, but the Ament family guards, who are still blinding themselves to the presence of the impudent who are trying to steal them, are responsible for protecting them.

"That's why you keep it down."

"... I know"

Prince Randolph, who doesn't even try to hide his grumpy appearance in the corner of the party venue, was taking only a few sides.

The vicinity cares for King Randolph Prince and leaves.

"... why are you here?

"There's a lot going on."

It is troubling when the Prince of his own country has this look on his face.

Let me give you a little help.
