Dungeon Master Makeup Money (formerly known as Dungeon Master Funding)

Episode 13: The world where the archers of the dense forest lurk -- before --

The 41st to 45th floors underground of the Alistair Labyrinth is a field with tall dense forests spread over jittery air.

There are many types of native plants and a wide variety of demons live there.

"What, this..."

"What's up?

I looked at the book and checked the state of the hierarchy. Tual shrugged.

"Well, watch it"

A tual that moves forward slowly.

Five steps forward, the book prevents stones that are about the size of the heads of people flying from the trees nearby.

At the foot of the tual is a thread strewn between the tree and the tree. A scheme had been set up whereby stones were flown the moment the yarn was pulled with their feet.

"That's not all."

Pick up the stone that was falling on the ground and throw it by the tree in front.

Falling away makes the stone sound.

Bassi!

A branch of a tree that was nearby strikes the stone thrown.

"It's soft dirt to the front of the place, but from there it's hard ground with stones laid on it"

Walking, similar to when on the soft ground, makes a noise, and they are reacting and attacking me.

"You understand."

"Oh."

A forest full of traps.

We need to break through there.

"A trap is a stone to install when you're caught off guard, but this hierarchy has no connection to such stones."

A trap has been set up just a few steps away.

We shall have to proceed with constant vigilance.

"Are you trying to stop me?"

The aim of the hierarchy is to slow down the attack speed by alerting it.

"But you don't have to go out with him."

Transfer from the map When you check the direction of a magic formation, Killier stands in front of the party.

Fist up, and when you concentrate your magic, swing it out toward the front. The shockwaves emanating from Killier's fist blow up the trees that were in the front and turn them into woods where the wasteland just spreads with every trap installed around them.

A path with nothing five meters wide. You don't have to worry about the trap if you're going through here.

"Phew."

Heavy exhaling Killier.

The shock wave emitted was causing fatigue to appear intense.

"Are you all right?

Zeon asks as he hands over the healing pills (potions).

Preliminary information is known to have five tiers of dense forest fields. Zeon, who doesn't think this hierarchy is the only one that has been altered all over the trap, was going to erase the trap by the same method even after the 42nd floor.

"No problem. I was able to shoot with a lot less magic than usual thanks to getting sanity."

As Killier put it, it could be done at the very least because it also contained its power to such an extent that it could blow up the forest.

At least, I have no problem at all about shooting five more times.

"Right. Then don't ask me again."

"Oh, no, I'm not."

I groaned at the bottom of the labyrinth watching the tragedy on the 41st basement floor.

There I got vegetables and fruits that I can't get anywhere near Alistair. Besides, there must have been a garden that Sylvia was growing.

"I have no choice."

Sylvia at the time was convinced of the status quo.

"There was indeed a part of the garden, but I would still sacrifice it if I were to say that it was necessary to stop their invasion at all."

I knew there would be a trap in some way if the Zeons were prioritizing the offense, and I thought it would break through all at once.

I didn't think it would blow everything away with a shock wave emitted from my fist, but it's a damage that can be said to be within my assumptions.

"You're ready for the 44th basement floor."

"Absolutely."

From the 41st to 43rd basement, throw it away to drain Killier.

My destiny is on the 44th floor underground.

The Zeons also blew the shortest distance from the 43rd basement to reach the 44th basement.

The road was going slowly after blowing it up. This is to restore the depleted Kirier at all. A safe path would have been suitable for recovery.

"... what does that mean?

"What's up?

Killier was going to blow the shortest distance, just like before.

Even a [map] that can be used by everyone can make you view a map of the labyrinth, but there may be some kind of trap that doesn't appear in the [map]. I was trying to check with the tuals that would see through those traps, too, before blowing them up.

But the moment I reached the 44th basement floor, I saw the book. The tual looks suspicious.

"Nothing."

"What are you talking about? There's a forest."

"No, there are no traps, no demonic reactions."

"What?"

Are you going to let it go bare knowing that the trap doesn't make sense?

If not, it will be a tough hierarchy.

"Looks like they didn't even see through my book."

"Then it doesn't matter."

I know where the metamagic team is.

Looking in the direction, he swings his fist through and emits a shock wave, just like before.

"Ah?"

However, the shockwave will be fogged up where it snapped down several trees in front of it.

"Um, maybe I'm tired?

Lüze laughs at him like he made a fool of himself. But inside, I was wondering. It was an act of trying to brighten up the status quo for her.

"No way... I haven't used half my magic yet."

"Apparently, there was a secret in the woods."

After staring into the eyes and using [Appraisal], Zeon found out why.

Unlike previous forests, it was demons, not ordinary trees, that were forming forests - by Trent.

"And it's not normal Trent"

High-Trend, which has become more robust.

If we were to turn trees across the forest into high torrents, we would have consumed quite a bit, but Mars decided to consume it considering it was a necessary expense to move the forest forward.

"Then the story is simple. We're just talking about a strong enough offense to blow up the high trent."

Killier focuses her stronger powers on her fists than ever before.

That's all we need to focus on for a long time.

"... Huh!

An arrow pierces Killier's arm, where he stood his fist. If you were an archer, you just seemed to be exposed to defenselessness.

Not so much arrow damage. But the pain interrupted my concentration.

"Who is it!

I scream in the direction I was shot as I pulled out the arrow.

But there's no response, and there's no response at all to the traps or demons on the map.

"I see. Waste of time. Was it to make you shoot"

He succeeded in letting them shoot for nothing by concentrating all their power on the 44th basement floor.

Killier emitted a shock wave without alarm because up to the 43rd basement floor was able to blow everything up fine.

And the person who's been shooting arrows.

I can't feel any signs at all. It was ruled that it was probably because he was leaving shortly after stopping Killier from attacking.

"If I'm interrupted, I can't blow it up and then move on. Then we'll have to go down the tunnel."

"No trap reaction..."

"So, you're gonna be okay"

As soon as Lüze moves forward, an arrow flies.

Shooting from a completely different direction than an arrow aimed at Killier flew in.

Slashing and tearing with the Devil's Sword and dropping it alerts you to the direction in which the arrows flew. But you can't capture an archer-like reaction.

"It's totally about buying time. I don't know where you're coming from. I hear you have to proceed alert to the arrows."
