Dungeons for the Devil, Dungeons for the Core (Book Version Title: A Different World Dungeon Made with the Devil)
Chapter XXXI Adventurer Guild 2. Count Vazari Territory Adventurer Guild
Six undead attacked the town of Vazari.
The Skeleton Dragon is a luminous, clear skeleton. The remaining five were the undead of an earlier brave man who belonged to other towns.
How should Vazari's Adventurer Guild deal with this situation? The argument did not show any signs of conflicting (fuzzy) convergence.
Adventurers who received a request from the church to crusade the Beastman Village in the form of riding on the butt horses of the new braves cared how this request would be met.
"… it is the view of the Alliance that, at least, upon return to town at the behest of the Church, the client, the request to crusade the Beast Village is considered to have been withdrawn"
"... what happens to the penalty?
"Honestly, it's a subtle place. In accordance with the guild's view, if an ordered request is withdrawn at the convenience of the Ordering Party, the Ordering Party will be obliged to pay a penalty to the Ordering Party. It's just that the church didn't revoke it after the formal process. He claims the request is ongoing. But, Targan, are you going on a beast crusade by yourself? The brave men are injured and they're not joining?
"I'm not kidding. If you come across such a monster, I don't feel like I can go home alive."
"That's what the Alliance is judging. So even to protect the guilders, we take the position that the crusade request has been dropped"
"So, back to earlier, what happens to the penalty?
"This time the guild will keep it replaced. Grab the order slip and go through the process at the reception."
Once the adventurer called Targan pulls back convinced, now the other adventurers ask questions.
"What is the Church going to do in the future?
"Even if you're uncomfortable with the Alliance's view, you won't be able to steam it back. I don't know if that's God's use or a monster, but before I became a brave man, I didn't have any more hands on this one than the Cals, who were class A adventurers, were snuck up on me. As a guild, as a church."
"So, the beasts are going to let you keep your mouths shut. What happens to the teachings of Yalta's God?
"Dawes, if you want to be a martyr, there's no stopping you. But don't get your guild into martyrdom."
Where I said this, the official man looked back at the other adventurers.
"You're right to ask. What are you guys gonna do?
"What can we do?
"It ends on the spot when Arr (...) comes out. Even if you don't come out, you won't be able to crusade the Beast Village without the culls of the brave."
"The undead attacked me. I'm pretty sure the Necromancer is behind this noise. If we're bad, we're gonna be undead too."
"Heh, after he dies, the subhumans will use him. I hope so."
Looking sideways at the adventurers who said what they liked to do, the official man followed the scene. Quietly approach by the Alliance Master and ask in a low voice.
"As a matter of fact, how do you think the Beasts will get out?
"... including the possibility of coming at us from the other side?
"Yes, I thought I'd ask you what Gilmouth thinks."
"... because there are more of us in simple numbers. I'm not going into the dark clouds, but the dragon is the crook. It's just that the dragon didn't even kill the residents when they spit on the braces. I don't think I'm going to set you up from the other side unless we set you up..."
"Does it all depend on this one's attitude towards the Beast Man..."
"Unless you show hostility from this side, I think we're going to maintain the status quo. It's time for the beasts to raise their children. We won't be free enough to be aggressive."
The Submen are never helpless and submissive slaves. It is an independent people who reward violence with power.
The eyes of man looking at the subhuman were about to change slightly, even here in Vazari, where the tide of subhuman contempt was deeply ingrained.
