Dungeons for the Devil, Dungeons for the Core (Book Version Title: A Different World Dungeon Made with the Devil)
Chapter 168: May Festival (First Day) 5. Elgin - Manastella Visiting Mission
"Hmm... a country called Theodrum is totally turning elves... no, you seem to be turning non-fumes against enemies..."
In an inn arranged by Lord Holbeck, it was the visiting team from Manastella, the leader of the Elgin dispatch team, who was whining about the rumors his men had been asking.
Elgin's overarching goal of forging friendship with the nonfume liaison meeting could not be achieved, but we cannot just back off with congratulations. Therefore, with Sir Holbeck's advice, he was trying to help improve the situation by listening to rumors of non-fumes. Fortunately, here in the town of Elgin is a patterned land with a lot of non-fumes from time to time. Just listening to them, let's grab about one end of solving the problems my country has... it was that degree of awareness...
"You've got an unexpected story popping in..."
The reason why the leader of the Elgin team roared in arms was the rumor that his men had been asking - a bad review of Theodrum if you say yes (ah) Riboid - and the reaction of the non-fumes to it. And... it was Skittle, the man who once made him a specially trained graduate under (under) Shrek's Ness and took on the guard of the cleric apprentice Mallow until this time, Drun.
In the village of Dungeon in Shrek, he was once slapped by the villagers, but then Ness herself gave him a special training, and even as he cried, he looked around at Skittle going to that special training, and the villagers' eyes changed slightly. Eventually, several villagers received Ness' special training with Skittle, who - although somewhat problematic - became recognized as the same fellow trainees.
And the story that Skittle heard from the villagers in the village of Dungeon was of Theodoram's injustice to the village of Dungeon.
In a special way, a soldier who was supposed to protect the people was slashed by an innocent (mumps) child - then bogged down by a skeletal (skeleton) brave (brave) who was protecting the village - the story said that the roots outraged the good skittle. And it was before Skittle left Elgin as an escort - only as a rumor - that Skittle showed off the evil deeds of Theodrum, who led the story, at Elgin's tavern.
The Elgin adventurers who listened were furious. I didn't originally have much of a fondness for a country called Theodoram, but when I heard this story, my fondness for Theodoram crashed - not near the crash - with the momentum to crack the bottom. The non-fumes, in particular, have had the effect of increasing their opposition to Theodoram before.
Manastella's inspection team arrived in Elgin more than two weeks after Skittle brought the story to life, but still bad talk to Theodoram had climbed into the story in taverns everywhere...... especially among the non-fumes.
Manastella's Elgin Dispatch team sensibly perceived and reported the anti-theodrum air of those non-fumes.
(... My country doesn't have a particularly close relationship with Theodoram... but we should still report this information as soon as possible)
That said, it is somehow a delicate issue. Communication magic props, etc. that are at risk of eavesdropping are difficult to use. Should I then hurry back to my country and report orally? The matter of the liaison meeting should be revisited (...) here again at a later date (...). The leader had secretly made a decision that Sir Holbeck would likely hold his head if he heard.
And before they knew it, the crows sowed the seeds of the antitheodrum in the land of Manastella.
