Easy Lords Fun Territorial Defense - Unnamed Village in Productive Sorcery to the Strongest Castle City
[Another Perspective] Ort's Surprise
Nobility is something like that for everyone.
Nobles who are dirty to gold, nobles who are dirty to women, nobles who have all their self-esteem inflated, are all crap.
I have received requests from several nobles so far. But there was no decent nobility. No, maybe it's normal from the point of view of the nobleman, but it's not normal from me.
Whether juxtaposed with various vernacular phrases or brought out the pride and doings of the aristocracy, they end up running for preservation and prioritizing the interests of the royal marquis nobility.
People's lives and security are behind us.
All of that must probably be because of the roots of class and above discrimination in nobility and civilians. No matter what nobility you meet, it's the discomfort you've always felt. That means that every nobleman looks down at civilians, especially the rootless grass like an adventurer.
That's probably what some adventurers and merchants who talk to nobles would feel.
"Huh. The nobleman's escort."
So when I first got the request, I didn't feel at all comfortable. That's the same for my people. For a while I was going to be in the Marquis de Fertio territory, so I had no choice but to receive a request from the Marquis.
So I was surprised when we first met.
"You're Mr. Ort, aren't you? I'm Van. My name is Van Nay Fertio. They're going to give me an escort, thank you."
He greeted me politely and shook my hand normally and accidentally with a feeling of forgetfulness.
"Oh, thank you"
In response, a boy named Van looks at us with interest.
"Looks strong. The scratched armor looks great, and the weapon is heavy. Isn't it heavy?
That's what they ask, and I answer with confusion.
"Oh, right. No, that's right. For the heavier part, the more powerful..."
That's what Van said as he wandered around, nodding several times and gazing at the other members.
Other members are quite upset with Van, who asks a lot of questions. I watched the scene for a while, but eventually I was laughing unconsciously.
I thought it was a noble request, but the escort seemed like a preferred normal child. But I need you to stop saying respectful words so that I don't accidentally stroke my head.
That's what I thought, so I headed to the escort to discuss the journey to my destination.
Then, two weeks. The impression of nobility in me has completely changed. No, is there such a person in the nobility, or does it feel like?
We've been dating for a little while, but I totally liked Van. If Van was in trouble as a lord, enough to come and help him.
But I still didn't know Van.
Van becomes the lord of a tiny village. It is also a said place that was originally the territory of another nobleman. Everyone will find it troublesome and some will refuse to be lords.
Van, however, had not been pressed into such a place and risked his life to fulfill his noble responsibilities. I made a definite choice to die to protect my territory and people.
The fear is that the territory and the people are not the only ones Van considered. It is the life of my men's knights, retired deacons, and even maids and slave children.
Hearing the argument that our adventurers could not risk their lives in the quote, he suggested an operation where everyone would not die. I'm the only one who dies.
"... he's an unusual guy, really"
When you squeal like that about the placement, a buddy who was nearby kills his voice and laughs.
"If Ort refused to do you a favor back then, I thought you could risk your life instead, huh?
"Oh, that's a big guy. You can't kill such a nobleman. If I can, I want that boy to be king."
My buddies said that funny. Respond by raising the edge of your mouth to it and see the village.
The fence was already ready. It may be about three meters tall and ten meters long. No way, I didn't think that butler's grandfather was such a magician.
Normally, a four-element mage who can fight to some extent won't be a butler or anything, but well, I guess there are circumstances.
If I thought a wall was instantly formed, I could see my buddy's unleashed arrows, Pluriel's water spears, and even a chunk of stone flying away.
I thought it was a restraint for a binary ambush, but that would be expected to work well enough.
"Let's go!
I yelled, kicked the ground. Afterwards, the fellows continue. From the other side I could see the knights running.
"Become!? Here, here we come, too!
One of us noticed, but it's too late. The shield you set up is cheap. Swing the sword down from the top toward the shield. The shield shattered and crushed, as it was, the sword slashed and torn diagonally from the man's shoulder to his flank.
As the blood dances, the surrounding companions also slay and lay down their enemies one after the other. If we don't kill them as much as we can by the time the tip of the sword points this way, we're sure there 'll be some injuries.
Left and right enemies are delayed in dealing with each other because they had bows and arrows. I have to wave my sword at full speed now.
We also have ranged coverage, and we eliminate our enemies at an alarming rate ourselves.
At first glance, the knights on the other side were in a similar situation. Especially a middle-aged knight like Dee who wields a much larger sword like a normal sword. A sword that knocks down an opponent with every armor will also leave unseen battles on the battlefield.
In fact, for the first time in a battle that is not Dee's usual, some of the enemies have emerged and others have begun to flee.
"Chi! In a place like this......!
And, being blinded by Dee's battle, one of the big men who stood in the front of the village turned his heel and ran out.
The other way is in the direction of the long-range group.
"Huh! Stop it! Somebody stop that bastard!
I scream as I slash the neck of the beard in front of me, but no one is going to make it to the enemy in front of me.
Not good.
The rangers should be delayed in noticing an upcoming enemy because of the barrier built by Deacon's grandfather.
If you allow me to approach you, the bow and the magic are bad minutes.
"Damn it! Notice! The enemy is approaching!
I scream as I receive my impending sword.
But ruthlessly, bows and arrows and sorcery did not turn to any imminent man at heart.
Pluriel chanting behind the fence saw a big figure on the edge of his sight.
Enemy.
For a moment, the word came to mind, but my magic was already activated after the chant. The next time you can shoot is in as little as ten seconds.
I can't make it.
The big man turns his blood-running eyes to this way and comes running with an axe in one hand.
They'll kill you!
That's when I thought of it, two small figures appeared in front of me.
"Mr. Van!?
I unintentionally called the aristocratic child a monarch. out of place, but for some reason the word came to my mind the most.
"This way, snake-class professional wrestler!
Van screams words that don't make sense and runs low like crawling on the ground. Mimicking it, the slave child also ran with his sword.
Reckless.
I'm not the kind of person that two kids can manage.
But with such concern, the two work together in unexpectedly accustomed movements, dealing with the big man.
Roll over the ground to avoid the axe swing down, dive under the opponent's crotch and slash the defenseless part behind his knee with a sword like standing up. It's a way of fighting that doesn't seem aristocratic, but the movement was brilliant and sophisticated.
"Gu!?
A slave child pursues a big man who groans at the motion and pain to make an announcement. He scaffolds an axe standing on the ground and jumps, quickly slitting a man's neck.
It was me who would cease to look like a man falling without even being able to speak, but Van had already changed his mind.
"There's a chance our enemies will be concentrated over here! Watch the front!
We immediately followed the instructions of a child who would be under ten years of age.
What the hell, this kid?
With such questions in my heart, I concentrate on fighting.
