Chapter 1464 - 49: Thunderstorm

Bologue didn’t look directly at the collision between the Giant Sword and the Ethereal Blade. Before the two made contact, he commanded the surrounding matter, descending with Palmer deeper into the building.

Layers of interwoven materials formed a solid blast barrier above Bologue’s head, and seconds later, an astonishing ethereal fluctuation emanated from it, shaking the entire area like an earthquake.

The Cultivation Room’s architectural style was filled with brutalist elements, gray-white concrete stacking up most of the area, resembling a massive fortress rising from the ground.

In contrast, the Land of Secrets featured architecture that was lightweight and sleek, with a wondrous futuristic feel. The building materials were also special, some kind of alchemical substance that appeared dense on the surface but was filled with many invisible micro-pores, providing excellent ethereal conductivity.

During peacetime, this special material could maximize the transmission of energy along the Aurora Path, powering the entire city. But in wartime, for a Condenser, these towering structures were nothing short of riddled with holes.

"Damn! It’s unstoppable!"

Bologue thought he’d built enough blast barriers, but the overwhelming ether of the Glory Holder Tier easily penetrated these special materials, much like the Aurora Path piercing through buildings. The ethereal shockwave from the explosion swept in with no reservation, akin to a tsunami assaulting the coast.

Dust and rubble fell incessantly, everything in sight was collapsing. Thankfully, Bologue and Palmer weren’t novices; they held up an Ethereal Barrier. After the intense tremors, they successfully withstood the aftermath of the assault.

"Are we now the most wanted?"

While exclaiming, Palmer was guiding the airflow, with gusts swirling and echoing around them like an invisible wind wall, causing any incoming objects to deflect and bounce off.

Therefore, although the scene appeared grand, it couldn’t cause any harm to them.

"Not the most wanted," Bologue corrected, "But the Public Enemy of the city!"

"Damn it! Damn it!"

Palmer let out another strange cry, as fierce air currents gathered into a rapidly firing spike gun. Without needing Bologue to act, he took the initiative to blast away the obstructive barriers below.

"I knew All Secrets Order had ulterior motives! We should’ve attacked the city directly!"

Even if Palmer was slow to react, he understood what was happening now; war had begun, the Order Bureau and All Secrets Order were at war.

Holt’s team had gone missing, and the deputy director was also out of contact. From Palmer’s perspective, only he and Bologue seemed to be fighting alone now.

"Do we have any preplanned strategies?"

Palmer blasted through another layer of the floor, reaching the bottom level of the tower, as if they were falling down the building.

"No plan!"

Bologue suddenly burst into laughter, "Only adapting as we go!"

The two landed steadily, and a powerful ethereal fluctuation immediately erupted from Bologue, causing the surrounding ground to undulate. Then, thick rock spikes began emerging from the ground.

Like rapidly growing bamboo shoots, they surged upwards dozens of meters high, expanding their diameter as they rose rapidly until they pierced the tower, clinging and wrapping around it.

"What are you doing?"

Olivia noticed the astonishing ethereal amount Bologue was releasing, and she could foresee that his next actions would definitely shake the heavens and the earth.

"We’re being targeted by a Seeker of Glory... or maybe several, and we’re deep in enemy territory."

While releasing Secret Energy, Bologue continued to move, but commanding matter consumed much of his focus, slowing his pace.

"How is this different from storming the Cultivation Room alone?"

That’s what Bologue said, but in his heart, he knew the difference was only in the strength, just like what Xilin did at the time.

"So?"

"So, we hide first!"

Bologue instinctively swung his hands. He didn’t need to do this to control the command, but he was accustomed to it, as if it increased his commanding efficiency, just like people can’t help but gesture when they talk.

With all his strength, he made a motion to push the tower over.

As the rock spikes grew frantically, they pierced through several critical support points. With a terrifying creaking sound, the towering tower inevitably began to lean to one side, like a wounded giant slowly falling to the ground.

"The tree’s falling!"

Palmer coordinated with Bologue’s action, shouting as he forcefully waved his hand, like clearing rubbish off a tabletop. Then, the endless whirlwind followed the path of his sweeping hand, blowing away and repelling debris and personnel alike along the way.

At this moment, the danger for the two was not only the fact that they were fighting deep in enemy territory but also, most importantly, that ninety-nine percent of the people they met here were Condensers. That meant every person they encountered, no matter how ordinary they might seem, has the potential to deal a fatal blow.

As the wind passed, all the Condensers were blown away like trash. Palmer didn’t care about their lives, knowing that being tossed away by him was better than facing Bologue directly.

Palmer had seen with his own eyes how fragile the Low Tier Condensers looked in front of Bologue.

Bologue preferred balanced battles rather than one-sided massacres of the weak. He didn’t pay attention to the Low Tier Condensers and instead looked up again at the tower that should have toppled.
