Chapter 333: Caelus Kross Was Expecting Tentacles
"Are we actually summoning the aliens?" Caelus asked, slightly surprised by this.
"Yeah, that’s the only option we have now, right?"
"Alright then." Caelus nodded. "Let’s do that."
Seeing Caelus readily agreeing, Elder Sterling was taken aback.
"Wait... are we actually going to call the aliens?"
"Of course. You know any Emperor-Rank Player?" Caelus asked with a dumbfounded smile.
What’s wrong with this guy?
He proposed that he wanted to summon aliens and now he’s hesitating?
But it made sense. Summoning them might just turn out to be a worser idea than the Hollow Beast.
But like he mentioned, there was no Emperor-Ranks in this world and they didn’t know when the Hollow Beast will break free.
There was like an 80% chance that the Hollow Beast was going to get out of that sealed pocket dimension before they could do anything.
Hence, the best decision here was to summon them and have them deal with the Hollow Beast.
Just then, Ayame and Zhang Wei came in.
"We overheard the conversation. What’s this about aliens and a Hollow Beast?"
They both looked wary, their expressions no longer carrying the friendliness from before.
"Is the thing in your hands the beacon mentioned by our source?"
They were visibly showing hostility now, their stances shifting into something far more threatening.
"We knew this was the beacon from the get go. However, summoning the aliens isn’t in your hands, Elder Sterling and Caelus Kross."
BOOM!
The roof of the place they were in cracked violently, dust and debris raining down as several figures burst through.
Taoists and Shinto members descended from above, their weapons drawn and skills already activating.
"Our people have always been in Italy," Zhang Wei declared coldly.
Caelus and Sylvia exchanged shocked glances at this sudden betrayal.
"Ayame, you can’t side with them," Caelus said with disbelief in his voice. "Do you want to die and have me steal your buff skill? I thought we were friends. I was just going to ask you for a friendly spar but now I might just have to kill you for real."
Turns out Ayame was just another villain who had been acting like a friend this entire time!
Ayame let out a heavy sigh, her expression carrying a hint of regret.
"For the sake of our friendship, let go of the beacon, and I guarantee with my life that I will protect you and the others, Caelus Kross. I respect you a lot."
"I don’t respect you," Caelus replied as if he was looking at an idiot. "You’re a loser."
As he said that, he immediately turned toward Sylvia.
"Sylvia, let’s run!"
The two of them bolted toward the exit without hesitation.
WHOOSH!
A figure appeared directly in their path, blocking escape completely.
It was a King-Rank Player, his aura pressing down on them like a mountain.
Sylvia didn’t hesitate for even a second.
[Skill Activated: Crimson Eclipse]
FWOOOM!
A dome of darkness erupted around Sylvia, crimson energy swirling through the shadows like living blood.
Everyone caught inside the domain immediately started losing HP, their health bars visibly draining.
"What the hell is this?" one of the Taoist members screamed.
"My HP is dropping!"
At the same time, Elder Sterling stepped forward with a calm expression on his aged face.
BOOM!
His Ace-Rank Aura exploded outward like a tidal wave, the pressure instantly shutting everyone up.
The King-Rank player blocking the exit stumbled backward, his face going pale.
Sterling waved his hand casually, spatial energy rippling through the air.
CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!
Several Spatial Prisons formed around the intruders, walls of warped space trapping them in place.
"Ace-Rank? Space King Sterling, you’ve reached Ace-Rank?" someone asked in absolute disbelief.
This was never reported back to them.
But, since Elder Sterling had never fully displayed his capabilities while fighting the demons, they would never have the chance to know that.
Just then, rapid footsteps echoed from the hallway.
Marcus from the Holy Church burst through the door, Lunari, Freya, and Seraphin Lin rushing in right behind him.
"What’s happening here? Why are the Taoist and Shinto factions here?"
Elder Sterling didn’t reply to the question at all.
Instead, he turned toward Caelus with a knowing smile.
"Go on, young friend Caelus. Summon the aliens."
Caelus nodded without hesitation.
He pulled out the beacon from his inventory, the device glowing with strange otherworldly light.
His finger moved toward the key on top.
Seeing this, everyone in the room shouted simultaneously.
"No! Don’t touch it!"
But he pressed it anyway.
FWOOOOOSH!
A golden pillar of light shot into the sky, piercing through the ceiling and disappearing into the clouds above.
The entire building trembled from the sheer power radiating from the beacon.
Moments later, the air itself began to shimmer and distort.
Two figures slowly descended from the golden light, their forms materializing like gods arriving from heaven.
One was a beautiful Ice Elf with pale white skin that seemed to glow faintly.
A delicate crown rested upon her head, and she wore an elegant outfit that flowed around her like frozen mist.
She was incredibly beautiful, her presence commanding attention without any effort.
Standing beside her was what looked like an ordinary human man, his appearance completely unremarkable.
But the moment they fully materialized, everyone in the room felt their hearts seize.
The pressure emanating from these two was beyond anything they had ever experienced.
"Damn... I was expecting some grotesque monsters, but it’s just an elf and a human?" Caelus mumbled under his breath with obvious disappointment.
Hearing this, everyone in the room hissed sharply.
Did this guy not know when to keep his mouth shut?
Sylvia was speechless on the other hand.
"Caelus... read the room."
"But I really was expecting tentacles or something," Caelus whispered back.
The Ice Elf’s gaze slowly shifted toward Caelus.
"Are you the one who summoned us?"
Caelus coughed awkwardly before straightening his posture.
"That would be me."
"Has the Hollow Beast fully matured?" the human asked, his voice carrying strange echoes.
"Matured? I don’t know," Caelus replied honestly. "But what I do know is that even though it’s sealed, it can still influence the world."
"That means it has matured," the Ice Empress said with absolute certainty.
"Very well. As per the contract we signed one hundred years ago, we will take away the Hollow Beast."
As the Ice Empress finished speaking, the space around them began to distort violently.
WHRMMMM!
Reality twisted and bent, colors blurring together as the world seemed to fold in on itself.
The next moment...
All of them appeared in Antarctica.
Freezing wind immediately assaulted them, the temperature dropping to levels that ordinary humans would never be able to handle without equipments.
"We got teleported this far?" Marcus gasped.
All of them thought the same thing simultaneously.
What kind of unfathomable power was this?
They had never seen such a high-scale teleportation before.
The human turned toward the elf with a raised eyebrow.
"Why did you teleport them here as well?"
"This clone cannot properly control its Spatial Powers here," the Ice Empress replied calmly. "The space in this Tier 1 World is far too thin compared to our world. I instinctively used the same amount of pressure for the teleportation."
The human nodded with understanding.
"Happens."
He casually raised his hand, golden energy flowing from his fingertips.
FWOOOM!
A barrier formed around Caelus and the others, protecting them from the future battle with the Hollow Beast.
Then the two experts launched into the sky without another word.
The Ice Empress looked down toward Caelus one final time.
"Do you have the key to unlocking the Pocket Realm?"
Caelus nodded and tossed her the crystalline key without hesitation.
The Ice Empress caught it effortlessly and waved her hand toward the sky.
CRACK!
A massive spatial crack formed in the heavens, the tear in reality stretching across the entire horizon.
SCREEEEEEECH!
A world-ending screech echoed across Antarctica, the sound piercing directly into everyone’s souls.
The entire continent shook violently.
Following it’s appearance, black corruption zones immediately started spreading throughout the land.
Seeing this, Caelus’ eyes lit up with excitement.
He turned toward Sylvia with a grin spreading across his face.
"Sylvia, let’s use this opportunity to clear away the Corruption and reach Level 50."
Sylvia’s crimson eyes sparkled with matching enthusiasm.
"I was thinking the same thing."
He also called Seraphin Lin and Freya over, waving them toward the spreading corruption.
"Come on, we will farm some free levels!"
Freya bounced over excitedly.
The four of them charged toward the nearest Corruption Zone without hesitation.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
Spawns exploded left and right as they carved through the corruption with immense efficiency.
[+0.25 Combat Score]
[+1 Level]
[Combat Score: 124.67 → 127.92]
[Level: 26 → 27]
They pushed forward relentlessly, the corruption falling before their combined assault.
Meanwhile, some members of the Taoist faction tried attacking Caelus from behind.
Their weapons swung toward his exposed back with killing intent.
CLANG!
The attacks bounced harmlessly off the barrier surrounding everyone.
No matter how hard they tried, they couldn’t reach him at all.
Caelus glanced back with a smug expression.
"Nice try, losers."
The Taoist members ground their teeth in frustration.
But then Caelus realized something strange about the barrier.
It was a Rule.
A Rule that seemed similar to the Origin Network?
