Chapter 306: Space Attribute Obtained, Power Increases By Leaps and Bounds, Reward For The Help

Caelus’s eyes widened as he stared at the notification.
This was the second one!
He already had a Space Fragment from before, and now he held another in his possession.
One more fragment and he could awaken the Spatial Attribute.
His mind flashed back to the Raid Boss battle.
That creature had torn holes in space itself, stepping through space like walking through doorways.
It had redirected attacks by bending the air around them. It had trapped enemies in spatial prisons where movement became impossible.
If he could do even half of that, his combat options would multiply tenfold.
"You both are really good," Lunari’s voice broke through his thoughts. "I didn’t know New York had such strong talents, especially you, Miss Sylvia."
Sylvia smiled calmly. "Thanks. I used to eat a lot of vegetables when I was young."
Lunari chuckled at that, her emerald eyes sparkling with amusement.
"We should keep moving," she said, turning to Caelus. "There are more corruption zones spreading across Long Island City."
They moved out immediately, heading deeper into the streets.
The next corruption zone appeared near a shopping district. Dark energy swirled around a fountain, spawns already emerging from its depths.
Lunari raised her hand, golden light gathering around her palm.

A brilliant barrier erupted around all three of them. The light felt warm against Caelus’s skin, and he noticed his movements felt lighter somehow.
Three spawns lunged at them, but their claws bounced harmlessly off the golden shield.
Caelus took advantage of the opening. His Ruyi Jingu Bang expanded as he swept it through the stunned creatures.
Sylvia darted past him, her Blood Sword cleaving through two more.
The zone collapsed within moments.

They pushed forward without rest.
Another zone appeared near a parking structure. This one was larger, with more spawns pouring out every second.
Lunari stepped forward, her hands clasped together in prayer.

Golden particles descended from above, coating Caelus and Sylvia like gentle rain. Strength surged through his muscles, his reflexes sharpening to a razor’s edge.
His combat score hadn’t changed, but everything felt enhanced somehow. His attack speed had increased several fold.
Seeing this, Sylvia was slightly jealous. She realized this buff was better than her Origin Blood Blessing.
But she didn’t say anything. But it was clear she too wanted this skill for herself.
"Go," Lunari commanded them.
Caelus shot forward like a bullet. His gravity fields crushed spawns left and right while starlight swords rained from above.
Sylvia moved beside him, her Crimson Sovereign manifesting to tear through the horde.
The buff made everything easier. His attacks hit harder, his movements flowed smoother.

Caelus frowned as they moved to the next zone.
Something wasn’t adding up.
They were gaining levels incredibly fast, much faster than anything he’d experienced in the domain.
Each corruption zone also gave a full level plus combat score.
Why was that?
He could not understand it properly. Even Sylvia got it.
He planned to ask Lunari once this was all over.
He was 100% sure that she had an answer to this.

The eighth zone proved more challenging.
A larger spawn emerged from the corruption, its body twice the size of the others.
Lunari’s expression turned serious.
She raised both hands above her head, holy power concentrating into a blinding sphere.
[Holy Skill: Judgment Ray]
A beam of pure golden light shot down from the sky, piercing through the large spawn like paper.
The creature didn’t even have time to scream before it disintegrated completely.
The remaining spawns scattered in terror.
Caelus stared at the destruction with wide eyes.
"I wish I had skills like that," he muttered under his breath.
His mind wandered to his Chaos Perception Dragon. During the time he used his SS-Rank Race Awakening Stone, he had witnessed countless skills inside the pool.
If he could obtain that awakening stone again, perhaps he could copy those skills?
Then he would have cool skills as well.
He was getting tired of just Holy Sword Surge and Star King’s Vault.
That was exactly why he had swapped Holy Sword Surge for the vault recently.

They cleared three more zones in rapid succession.

The levels kept coming, each extraction pushing them higher and higher.
Caelus’s body hummed with accumulated power. He had never leveled this fast before, not even in the domain.
Four more zones fell before them.

[Level: 22 → 23]
[Combat Score: 76.37 → 79.62]
[Level: 23 → 24]
The final corruption zone loomed ahead, larger than any they had faced.
Caelus charged in alongside Sylvia while Lunari provided support from behind.
Her Divine Aegis blocked incoming attacks while her Judgment Ray eliminated the strongest spawns.
The battle ended within minutes.

Then another notification appeared.

Caelus felt space shift around him.
Space itself seemed to bend to his perception, invisible threads connecting every point in existence.
His lips curved into a satisfied smile.
Then he frowned.
If only he had another Attribute Skill Slot, he could use two attribute types at once.
He checked the cooldown for switching attributes and his expression darkened.
Four days.
He had to wait four damn days just to re-equip a different one.
"Good work, friends," Lunari turned toward them with a bright smile. "Thank you for supporting me today."
"You did most of the fighting," Caelus replied. "You’re very strong, Miss Lunari."
"Yeah Yeah." Sylvia said while rolling her eyes secretly. "If I had this skill I would be have done better too."
At the same time, she glared at Caelus.
Caelus let out a chuckle seeing this.
It seems like Miss Sylvia, his sweet wifey was jealous.
Lunari chuckled at Sylvia’s displeasure.
"How about this?" she offered. "For all the help you’ve given me, I’ll give you something in return. I’m actually part of the Golden Light Guild. If you want, I can help you obtain something from there."
Caelus’s eyes lit up immediately hearing this.
"Then can I get an Attribute Skill Slot Increaser?"
