The ten thousand soldiers from Wolf Valley Pass split into three forces. Two were to draw away the bulk of the troops from the Turkic Headquarters by attacking the left and right flanks, while Chu Lingguang personally led five thousand men in a surprise attack from the rear.

Although his power had not yet reached the Qi Refining Realm.

But with the help of the Qi Refining Art, all the power in his body had been converted into Spiritual Power.

He had a strong premonition that once he awakened all three hundred and sixty-three responses within him, he would successfully break through to the Qi Refining Realm. Then, he would be able to take an enemy general’s head from within an army of ten thousand.

Even so, he was a nearly invincible existence among the experts of the secular world.

The Wizard in the center of the command tent had been smiling, but as Chu Lingguang cut down the elite soldiers within like they were nothing, his expression turned grim. He became incomparably somber.

"Go!"

He performed some magic, forming a hand seal that shot out and struck a yellow dog near the entrance.

The yellow dog had been lying on the ground.

It had been looking perfectly docile. But as the hand seal entered it, it was as if an ancient bloodline had awakened, and the responses in every layer of its flesh and blood had been ignited. It transformed into a yellow beam of light, bursting from the tent and charging straight for Chu Lingguang.

Chu Lingguang was cutting a swath of destruction.

He was helping his men charge into the Turkic Headquarters.

Suddenly, he spotted a yellow beam of light hurtling toward him.

He hastily struck out with a palm.

He first formed a Divine Defense before him, like a wall of glass, attempting to block the yellow figure. But he watched as the defensive wall shattered.

A large yellow dog appeared before his eyes.

He quickly formed a vortex of power in his palm, intending to swallow the large yellow dog. But the dog dodged in a flash, circling behind him. Its body suddenly expanded, and it opened its gaping, bloody maw, trying to swallow him whole.

"A demon?"

Chu Lingguang was dumbstruck.

He swiftly summoned his Wind and Wave Power, sending the massive dog flying.

"Kill!"

He gave chase on his Little Red Horse.

His Long Spear swept toward the large yellow dog, but it dodged again. Enraged and humiliated, Chu Lingguang channeled his Star System Spiritual Power, leaped from the back of his Little Red Horse, and became a streak of light as he pursued the dog.

First, a Palm Seal powerful enough to melt Profound Iron slammed into the dog. Then, with a slash of his Long Spear, a brilliant flash of energy erupted, engulfing the beast and shredding its body into countless pieces that rained down on the ground.

"Hmph!"

The Wizard rose to his feet inside the tent.

He hadn’t expected Chu Lingguang to be able to kill his Spirit Pet.

So he walked out of the tent.

Layers of runes shimmered behind him. Standing atop a river of blackness, he rose into the air and shot toward Chu Lingguang.

’A Practitioner?’

’An expert from the Demon Sect?’

Chu Lingguang was stunned.

He knew the Demon Sect was backing the Turks.

The Turkic Army’s sudden invasion of the Great Yuan had caught many by surprise. It seemed rash, and people had been speculating about the reasons behind their urgency.

Now, seeing someone in the Turkic Headquarters who could fly through the air, ride a river of black demonic energy, and had runes flashing behind him, Chu Lingguang’s first instinct was that he was an expert from the Demon Sect.

According to the agreement.

Members of Yuanchu Mountain and the Demon Sect were forbidden to interfere in the struggles between dynasties.

If the Demon Sect intervened, Yuanchu Mountain would surely send its own people. The conflict between dynasties would then escalate into a war between the sects, which could shake the very foundations of both powers and possibly even lead to the annihilation of one.

It was a price neither side could afford to pay.

"BOOM!"

At this time, the Wizard hovered a hundred meters away from Chu Lingguang.

He raised a hand, shooting a black beam of light from his palm that blasted toward Chu Lingguang’s chest.

Chu Lingguang’s expression changed drastically.

Even for someone of his caliber, the Palm Force from one of his strikes would be significantly weakened over a distance of thirty meters. He could, like Eunuch Liu, condense his Palm Force into a Palm Seal and leave a mark on a stone wall twenty or thirty meters away.

But actually injuring an expert of the same level at that range would be difficult.

Yet this person before him could not only fly but was also attacking him with a palm strike from a hundred meters away.

Chu Lingguang was indignant.

He wanted to see just how powerful this palm strike truly was.

He thrust out both hands, two vortexes appearing in his palms as he tried to swallow the incoming power.

"BOOM!"

Chu Lingguang was sent flying backward.

His palms were sore, numb, and bruised, and the two vortexes of power within them had dissipated.

"You actually have Spiritual Power?"

The Wizard was taken completely by surprise, his face a mask of disbelief as if he had seen a ghost.

"You’re a Qi Refining Realm expert?"

Chu Lingguang demanded angrily.

Although he had converted his Qi Sea Power into Spiritual Power, he was only halfway to the Qi Refining Realm at best. For his opponent to send him flying with a single palm strike from a hundred meters away, he had to be in the Qi Refining Realm.

No one in the True Martial Realm could possibly do that.

Chu Lingguang was confident in his own strength; only an expert from the Qi Refining Realm could render him so completely powerless.

"It is your honor to die by my hand."

The Wizard nodded.

He smiled contemptuously, gathered his power again, and swiftly launched another palm strike at Chu Lingguang from across the distance.

Though he was no match, Chu Lingguang would not simply wait to be killed.

’Even if I die, I’ll take one of his arms with me.’

"ROAR!"

But just then, the roar of a wolf echoed from behind him. It was a roar so powerful it made the Demon Beasts in the Hundred Thousand Mountains tremble in fear.

Chu Lingguang’s face turned ashen.

A Wizard from the Qi Refining Realm already guaranteed his defeat. If a Wolf Demon that could affect his very mind was added to the mix, his entire ten-thousand-man army might be wiped out here.

As a Transmigrator,

he would feel indignant dying for an emperor, but he found some solace in the thought of dying for the common people.

Yet, just as Chu Lingguang was preparing to form vortexes of power in both palms—one for the Turkic Wizard and one for the Wolf Demon behind him—a furry, red arm flashed before his eyes and intercepted the Turkic Wizard’s black beam.
