Besides Wu Lingwei, there were two familiar acquaintances.

One was someone Chu Ning was quite familiar with, Chang Lingshan, and the other a middle-aged cultivator named Han Shihong, whom he had met at the trade fair following the opening of Snow Mist Valley nine years ago.

After Chu Ning entered, he cupped his hands towards Wu Lingwei in greeting, and then proceeded to walk towards the two familiar acquaintances.

At this moment, Wu Lingwei’s gaze flickered slightly before she smiled and said:

"I wondered why Fellow Daoist Chu hadn’t visited my Frost Moon Pavilion for so long; turns out you’ve been in secluded cultivation for a level-up."

As Wu Lingwei spoke, both Chang Lingshan and Han Shihong noticed Chu Ning’s Middle Stage Golden Core cultivation, both showing a hint of surprise.

"Congratulations to Fellow Daoist Chu on advancing to the Middle Stage of Golden Core."

Some of the other cultivators, though unfamiliar with Chu Ning, also offered a few words of congratulations upon hearing this.

"Thank you, fellow Daoists." Chu Ning cupped his hands and acknowledged the crowd before sitting down next to Chang Lingshan.

At this moment, Wu Lingwei began organizing the trade, as per the custom, starting with Frost Moon Pavilion offering a few treasures, followed by the cultivators trading among themselves.

To Chu Ning’s slight disappointment, neither the Frost Moon Pavilion’s items nor those traded by other cultivators contained the materials he desired.

Chu Ning casually selected a few good spirit medicines and materials to leave for exchange amongst the cultivators.

He then approached Wu Lingwei.

Upon seeing Chu Ning approaching, Wu Lingwei immediately smiled and said:

"Fellow Daoist Chu, you’ve sought several spirit medicine materials frequently in recent years, causing our stock to be sold out.

In the past year, there are one or two kinds available, but they might not meet your quantity demands.

You’ll have to wait for Snow Mist Valley’s opening next year."

Chu Ning shook his head at this moment and said:

"Fellow Daoist Wu, I didn’t come here for spirit medicines this time, but rather to inquire if you have a few artifact refining materials."

While speaking, Chu Ning handed over a jade scroll to Wu Lingwei.

Upon seeing the contents, her eyes flashed with surprise.

"Nine Rites Gold, Star Core Sand, Black Feather Water, Golden Goblet Wood; these four materials are indeed uncommon."

"I wonder if Frost Moon Pavilion could have these for sale?"

After Chu Ning asked, Wu Lingwei immediately smiled and said:

"Fellow Daoist Chu surely overestimates our Frost Moon Pavilion; we don’t have these materials, except for a bottle of Black Feather Water.

Unfortunately, the other materials will disappoint you."

Though Chu Ning felt a bit disappointed, upon hearing there was Black Feather Water, he promptly said:

"Fellow Daoist Wu, may I ask how this Black Feather Water is priced?"

Wu Lingwei laughed upon hearing this: "Fellow Daoist, just follow the usual custom, and craft more advanced talismans."

Chu Ning readily agreed to this; he then remembered the materials for crafting the Ice Shadow Sword Talisman and inquired further:

"By the way, does your pavilion have Ice Condensing Jade or the tail feather of the Gold and Silver Bird?"

Upon hearing Chu Ning add two more materials, Wu Lingwei couldn’t help but glance at Chu Ning again before saying:

"Indeed, Ice Condensing Jade is available; although it’s rare due to Ice Island Immortal City’s proximity to the Snow Peak Mountain Range, it can still be found in limited quantities.

As for the Gold and Silver Bird’s tail feather, this demon beast is at least at the peak of the seventh level, or even beyond the eighth level, making its tail feather treasured.

Our pavilion doesn’t have it."

Chu Ning, realizing there was no Gold and Silver Bird tail feather, said:

"Then please, Fellow Daoist Wu, fetch some Ice Condensing Jade for me."

Wu Lingwei gave an instruction, and not long after, Bai Ruo arrived with a bottle of Black Feather Water and two sizable pieces of Ice Condensing Jade.

Also, two kinds of spirit medicines usable by Chu Ning.

Chu Ning then handed over the pre-prepared talismans, along with some unusable spirit medicines to the other party.

Only then did he return to his seat to sit down.

To refine the Golden Spirit Sword, four materials were now gathered.

The remaining three materials, however, had no leads, making Chu Ning naturally quite disheartened.

Chang Lingshan, out of curiosity at this moment, asked Chu Ning:

"Fellow Daoist Chu, I noticed you seemed to be purchasing some materials from Frost Moon Pavilion earlier.

So, you didn’t gather them all?"

"No!" Chu Ning shook his head and then had a sudden thought.

Since Chang Lingshan has a wide network of acquaintances, perhaps he could inquire with him.

With this in mind, Chu Ning immediately asked him about several materials.

"Nine Rites Gold, Star Core Sand, Golden Goblet Wood, Gold and Silver Bird tail feather."

Upon hearing the materials Chu Ning needed, Chang Lingshan showed a peculiar expression and then transmitted to Chu Ning:

"Junior Brother Chu, let’s discuss it in detail after this."
